girl i have the EXACT same shoe problem. i also wear a size 9 and i constantly see shoes from sizes 5-8 that are insanely cute and in near perfect condition. i’ve never found a pair of shoes in my size that weren’t ugly or damaged to the point of disrepair
Gill I feel you my feet are small I wear size 5 in women and it's hard to find shoes my size it's rare to even find size 5 at my thrift store it's always 6 and up or I find cute shoes that aren't even my size but I'm not so great condition So I feel you on this one to let's not give up hope tho.
For me a thrift store is bad if the prices are super high, there's a lot of damages pieces and sometimes the music is so loud, but you can always find something tho
I love these vids! I also agree that there's no, "Bad," thrift store. I also feel like people need to keep in mind that thrift stores are traditionally are for those in need, not hunting for designer, etc., so even the "Worst," thrift store is necessary.
I loved how you found that Chanel bag for such a steal! It's so true that you can discover hidden gems even in the "worst" thrift stores. Your outfits are always so cute and I totally relate to the struggle of finding good shoes. Can't wait to see how you style that leopard coat! 🐆✨
To play devils advocate for the review complaining about overstocked racks- As someone who works in the thrift, and worked in pricing and stocking for a while, there’s not much we can do. Especially small locations- they’ll often be bombarded with women’s clothing (about 70% of the donations of the store I worked floor at were women’s clothing) everyday. We were supposed to keep things out for three weeks before pulling them, and often we would have to decide between pulling items or overfilling the rack. Usually we’d do a mix of both but with how much women’s clothing is donated it would still lead to overfilled racks. Also due to particular ADA guidelines, we had very specific rules about where our clothing racks were allowed to be and how far they needed to be spaced so we couldn’t expand our clothing section. So it’s honestly not a problem with the actual thrift store, it’s a problem with overconsumption in general and building restraints. (Also “pulls” aren’t thrown away- the nicest stuff is given to houseless people and the rest of it is auctioned off to other thrift stores and insulation companies etc.. I always get asked about that so I’ll throw it out there)
I’m a US 10, euro 40, Aussie 9, my biggest tip for thrifting for big feet is online! I went into my fave thrift store in Newtown and the girl in there told me that there is massive demand for bigger shoes sizes, so people constantly buy these sizes and hold onto these sizes, so when they are donated rarely, they are snapped up! I got a pair of vintage heels that had been on the shelf for 2 hours! Buy them online if you know your size because you can get them in from overseas or interstate, you get the cream of the crop of big shoes all over the world! Especially for us Aussie girlies who can access the American second hand market ❤️
I hate when people rate thrift stores with a bad review because THEY couldn’t find everything they liked, don’t they get that not everything is for them???
I just thrift a Chanel precision bag ,even it is not a regular Chanel bag, but it is so cute for the winter , hopefully one day i will find a one like yours
My son got lice in 2nd grade because he was in a play were they passed hats. Not once but several times, because I did not know about the hats until I saw the play. He also had very curly hair which made it worse. If you bag the items that you cannot wash in plastic and leave them for quit awhile (look it up) it does work
I was threating today at a new thrift store by me. Second Avenue thrift all the reviews were bad. They said it was too expensive, etc. etc. well, my son and I go I found a zillion things for great prices. All the clothes were clean and in such good shape, it was unbelievable. Nothing was priced too high so I guess you have to see for yourself.
Feeling so heard & seen when it comes to finding size 9 shoes in pretty much any store, let alone the thrift store. My daughter is a size 11. So she's got it even worse! Lol! Us big foot girlies need to stick together & share when we find good places to shop for shoes! ❤
My least favorite local thrift store puts out stained and damaged clothes and marks stuff super high. Also they have racks super close together and then one end blocked off with shelves so you can only enter from one end. And they have tons of open space, so it’s not like they have to do it that way. Idk, super stupid layouts, overpriced stuff that should really have been trashed, just meh. You can obviously find cute stuff, you just gotta really check that it’s not ripped or picked or stained cause most stuff is.
Is that the Ossington VV ? I went yesterday hahah landed a brand new pair of ice skates in my size and some cute cardigans, not bad at all! Definitely missing the old location by Landsdowne though :(
i love thrifting and this video is so cute!! im so glad i stumbled on your page!! also same problem here with the shoe thing im a 9.5 - 10 and i never can find cute shoes thrifting..
What do you use to add sound affects to your video like (swoosh, Bing or whatever to add cuteness to it?) and affects to the video (shaking, zooming in ext…)
Downy’s farm is a family one, there are a couple of other farms in Milton too as well. Over all it’s best to google or find farms on Instagram. Love seeing your Chanel bag, keep showing it! Who care what other people say about grandma aesthetic style, I love it! New subscriber🇨🇦! Supporting my TO TH-camr! 😊
Go to any thrift store in thunder bay and you'll see all they sell is JUNK. AND I MEAN JUNK. Nevermind the "One man's JUNK is another man's treasure "I swear any single thrift store here sells junk. Even marketplace. They sell their junk they don't want to pay for junk removal. Honestly
if you want one thats actually bad, go to the one in the beaches on woodbine and danforth. the area is just not awesome and the clothes are never it, but i have faith that you would be able to find something and make it look cute
That Chanelbag needs some TLC though, (cut off the tag would be a start😂) and then fill it with something to straighten it out, if not doing that, and since it's shiny leather (it's actually lacquered leather) the "wrinkles" will be permanent, and ultimately crack🌸
Prineville, oregon by Bend Oregon 4hrs from Portland or where I was born and folks had a thrift store se foster. Shout out from afar. Step mom was from Nelson, bc.
american people will never undertand how lucky they are for their HUGE thrift stores, screaming the whole time at the screen so mad! theese are a blessing thrift stored ugh!
No actually there is unfortunately I love thrifting but not when the seller is so bad with customers not when it's dirty and smell one time I tried this blazer and felt something on my neck..it has insects inside. And why should I shopp in there if they sell a shirt olddd not in a very good condition almost the same price as the new one!!? Oh dear there is many bad thrift stor specially now they used ppl need bc of the economy more ppl started thriftin and the price go higher
Sorry so random but when you make coffee, put the milk over the ice first and then pour your coffee in last! Stops the ice from melting from the hot coffee
I would say any thrift store that doesn’t meet basic sanitary standards is a bad thrift store. Like that’s the bar. I don’t care how cute that outfit is, if there’s a bug infestation I’m out. Now obviously that’s not this thrift store, I’m just saying, bad thrift stores could potentially exist.
I wish I had side 9 feet😭 I'm a 11 half the time I just squeeze in a 10 but there's almost never shoes in women's 11 even at my job we only have women's 10
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! this is my version of a spooky video 👻

9 must be a common size cus i have the same exact problem 😭😭
The confidence you have to film in the middle of a store is UNREAL. Respect.

That black ruffled sweater with the white tank and jeans ATE
@@elisemae8634wait what’s the time for that one?

The poncho is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I hope I find something just like that
If you're crafty, I bet you could make one. I loved that too!

My Saver's has better shoes in the larger sizes. I wear a 7 and that is the most common size. I rarely find cute shoes at my Saver's. Fun video btw.

We used to wear that kind of shawl when I was of elementary age. We called them ponchos.
