I was an elementary P.E. teacher for twelve years in the 90's and early 00's. The pacer test was a mainstay. Starting the year we would run it several different ways with different grade levels. The young, if a student didn't make it to the line in time, they would walk a lap around the outside of the basketball court, then could re-enter the test. Older grades, because of big classes, we ran two lines, 10 feet apart, at once, windshield wiper style. I still have the pacer cassette tape. It on the table beside my computer.
Once you are at 100 you are sprinting to get to each line barely making it for the beep haha. We did this my freshman year in high school and I got 134
