I really liked the motorcycle reviews from the perspective of a intermediate street rider. The EV and alt fuel vehicles were informative. Too bad no one else seems to think so.
Agree - I like a variety of vehicles but we are not the typical viewer according to TH-cam.
I'd personally follow another SmoTire channel that has all the weird stuff (Extra Throttle House style)
Would like them to review sport bikes too

Thank you Matt and Zack for the wonderful content you guys have put this year, including All Cars Go Heaven 3. I understand at the end of the day, TH-cam is your business, but don't read into the analytics too much. You guys have tapped into a core group of true car enthusiasts because y'all put out great content that many many of us appreciate and that's more than many other car TH-camrs can say. May the Analytics (and monitization) swing more in your favor in the new year!

One of the ways, often unsuccessfully, I attempt to help my wife with her anxiety/depression is to keep her busy with hobbies so she can stop the idle times in her own head. Writing, reading, games, cross stitch etc. I taught myself to solder. Made a shelf. It's temporary but sometimes it helps.
I build Mechanical Keyboards to help deal with 2021. Matt you have so much respect from the community dude. You are a bespoke hustler. Keep going bro, you are an inspiration to a lot of us.

I'm very surprised to hear about the difficulties with the channel. I've been watching since the /TUNED days and watch probably about 90% of the content you guys put out including the new All Cars Go To Heaven, Haggerty content, and even the motorcycle reviews even though I don't ride. I'm surprised people rely on the algorithm... I subscribe to the channels I want to and rely on the subscriptions tab to see all of the content that my subscriptions have put out every day... Keep up the good work guys.
You’re an outlier within the greater TH-cam population, and an ideal viewer. Unfortunately, most people rely solely on suggested content.
Agreed, I use the subscriptions tab so I never really miss videos being posted. My problem is I also use the watch later playlist, so I’ll add a video but then don’t always catch up on actually watching it later lol

I also did nothing for Christmas, and it also felt great! My wife and I were planning on visiting my parents, which is a 600 mile drive away, but the roads got damaged in recent floods, and we called it off. We still took the whole week off leading into Christmas, and did a whole lot of nothing of significance. Didn't read the news, just watched movies, watched Netflix, played video games and hung out at home. We went shopping a couple times, made some good food at home. It was all great, no stress - loved it.
Matt and Zach, I’ve been listening and watching your content since TST started. I’ll continue giving you my views and ears. Don’t worry. You got a lot of loyal followers, I think we’ve all been busy this past month 😂

Ironically, the most interesting content of yours that I found was the Mirai road trip. Perfect amount of disaster + informative.

I don’t have bell but I check my subscriptions every morning and add new videos I want to watch to watch later, have never missed one of your uploads
1:24:00 it's super weird to me that people don't use the Subscription tab. I the recommended videos is almost always things I've already watched. I only go to the "main page" when I've watched everything I want to out of the daily uploads.
I find the best way to use youtube as a viewer is to set your internet link to your subscription page. My younger brother showed me that trick, and now I always am looking at what I want to look at. The algorithm just does the recommended, but most of it is from my subs.
Really enjoy the longer podcasts. 2+ hours. Let’s get back to those
Thanks for the awesome content. For me I think the superchat format was better because the questions were more often specific to the guest rather than a bunch of generic car questions that get curbed for a crew show many times anyway. Also once you guys separated the channels I subbed here and unsubbed from the other one because I like to hear about your experiences here and go selectively watch videos there based on what I’m interested in. Could be in the minority but that’s how I consume your content. Happy new year TST and WCCS!
Ive been delivering pizza 7 days a week since before the pandemic started, you guys have nothing to worry about. Also, would HIGHLY recommend dabs of hash 1-3 times a week instead of daily smoking. So much easier to manage but everyone has different tastes. Looking forward to this one gentlemen

Actually both the James Cameron Deep Sea and the regular Seadweller are larger than an EXPII. The Cameron is 44mm and the SD43 is 43mm

Came here to say this. I use TH-cam like my DVR...log in every few days to see what's new on each of my channels I subscribe to. Not reliant on the social media like algos, but I appreciate I'm a minority.
Kinda funny when Americans are introduced to Mercedes trucks and work vehicles. Either the fact that they exist surprises them or the fact that they are as comfortable and well built. Its been a huge portion of their sales globally for decades. Our shops 1995 sprinter van feels like its indestructable.

I'm subscribed and have the 🔔 clicked for all on both channels and I receive all notifications for both channels all the time. I've never had an issue with not getting them. Hope this helps with the analytics.
in Uk all new cars have lane keep assist turned on when you start the car , it is regulated by law .
The bell is automatically enabled when you click subscribe. You have to click it again and select all notifications. By default it is on personalized, which I'm guessing is how youtube sends notifications only for videos that get views.

@thesmokingtire with regard to Porsche LKA you deactivate ot once and then can save the settings to the key fob and it stays deactivated everything you use that fob...this is on a 2020 macan, not sure how the 992 works

You can get the RS5 without lane keep assist. Take away autopilot but you no longer have to turn things off each time.

Mercedes vans in Germany are like every second van after VW van.. I mean it is fun being in a Mercedes full of cheap Plastic with the latest wide screen that Mercedes is pushing. Plus the new Mercedes steering wheel with cheap plastic and touch sensitive scrolling "knobs" .amazing
I love the opportunity to work from home. Personally I save around $10,000 a year in work related travel expenses from fuel, food, road tolls, more frequent service, work clothes etc. Along with saving at least 780 hours commuting per year, which works out to 32.5 days of time saved. It was like a promotion, more money in more pocket and better conditions!
Senna actually put more time in to developing the S2000. Look at the letter S in the S2000 logo and it’s his brand he was developing before he passed. The two lane s-bend.

On the GR86 kneepad topic. The higher trim gets them, the lower that you drove, does not.
Just my own guess, but that Essenza SCV12 sounds like a design study like they were considering the new LeMans HyperCar class. Probably decided against it and made these to payback the development costs lol

The problem with the 'new' Countach is that they called it a Countach. Same problem with the Mach-E being a "Mustang" it's just the branding. It's a cool looking car if you remove all the pretense around it. It's not a Countach, it's not a new version of it, it's a neat looking body kit for an Aventador. Maybe they should have just called it the Aventador - C or something.

I love literally every one of your guys videos, from the start. I especially don't understand how ACGTH isn't huge.
That said....isn't the obvious solution to the youtube issues to go back to the bread and butter, one takes with people's modified cars? Meaning both of ya doing that for like 80 percent of the videos to keep the lgorith happy. Every car had a real story, a rotating cast of owners, actual surprises, etc.

The people want more tuned vehicles! You were mentioning on Spikes podcast how your most popular videos were "attainable" sports cars. Looking at the most popular vids on the TST yt page shows how popular a lot of the og One Takes were. Not saying all your content should be tuned vehicles, but a sprinkling of tuned "attainable" vehicles would probably go over well with the enthusiast crowd that has been following you for all these years.

You bet they're taking notes as we speak to refine the crap out of it and drop a 30k premium on top of MSRP for loads of piano black interior and ugly chrome.
RE 1:25:00, I'm subscribed, but I don't want constant notifications. It's a decluttering technique, I don't have push notifications on my phone for anything except text messages (not even email). I don't use the bell for any of the channels I'm subscribed to, and I suspect there are many like me. So don't take it too hard if that metric is lower than the subscriber count. If people want to find your stuff, all they have to do is go to your channel page and they'll see every video.
I would definitely watch a secondary channel with EVs and motorcycles, a la More Doug Demuro.

So lame that the hydrogen cars and motorcycles impacts the channel. I found I clicked those videos more often BECAUSE they were different and I want to learn more about them. I hope you continue it but I understand why you wouldn't. The content overall was amazing, keep it up.
On your car review channel, I'd love to see the kind of variety again you used to have earlier ; not the tyre rubbing crapboxes, but the occassional exotic classic and professionally done modified ones .
Like the Lancia Delta , Alfa Romeo Montreal, Ur-Quattro and such .
The usual press cars quickly became a bit repetitive ; if you are one of the very few who needs buying advice for every current 911, or every fast luxury SUV on the market, or other cars in a class that is just so generic these days - this is the channel for you .
For me, they are all the same .
Zack scooped himself on the podcast with the Murai video, just heard it all here and didn't see a reason to watch it.
Release of the old All Cars seemed like a good idea but I think poached views from your new one, which was fun but watching one person watch one other isnt as good as two talking ish on one..
TH-cam is trash with their algorithm, you have to watch EVERYTHING and on the first or second impression from a creator to always be notified (and quickly). As I reserve time for videos I know I want to pay attention to, TH-cam thinks not watching them instantly makes them not important to me..
What’s the car of the year ????
To comment on the Rolex thing towards the end of the podcast. I think Matt is right in regards to Rolex's strategy with retailers, controlling where the watches go. But I don't think the "scarcity" is manufactured at all, and that Rolex are indeed making as many watches as they can. Truth is, the demand has dramatically increased (for the same reasons the demand for collector cars has increased), but Rolex are making more watches than ever (and more than any other luxury brands by an order of magnitude). They're also currently building a new factory to make even more watches.
Is there currently a "shortage" that Rolex is smartly exploiting? Yes, definitely. Is this shortage manufactured and willed by Rolex? No.
