What I love about your videos is despite your success, you’re not afraid to share your struggles & your come up. I take that away from your videos more than anything. I tend to struggle a bit with imposter syndrome. I can literally always come to your channel and get what I need to push forward. Then there’s that great music you make too! You’re great at what you do. You deserve everything great you have coming your way. God Bless! 💯
I started with Maschine studio 4 years ago. I’ve been constantly Messing with the idea of moving away from NI’s gear and jumping into Ableton with some push gear and other midi keyboards. Every time I end up back at Maschine. It’s workflow is effortless which keeps you in your most authentic sound without thinking about the process at all. Had some issues with sound libraries for a bit which almost drove me away, decided to do a reinstall and clean up the library, it works like a dream.
i fell in love with the workflow of the maschine mk3 even before i had it. found some amazing tutorials on how it works, that i am not going to drop here. making beats with it and the maschine software works great for me. on the portability note: i have just been on a holiday with a 12hr trainride each way and took my maschine and laptop with me. get yourself a backpack that fits both, plus some headphones and cables. once you turn it on and plug it in, the laptop can go back into your bag. if you even read this, Sarah keep that fire comin. really enjoying your vids and beats!
DeffBaer, I am thinking about purchasing an MK3. I have been going back and forth between the MPC (new generation) and the MK3. I am into sampling and the 90's boom bap style of production (I was a young adult in my 20's during the heyday of the 1990's). Besides Sara's paid tutorial for the MK3, which I have not yet purchased, have you found anything else that's been useful to you. If you are not comfortable in providing tutorials in the comment section, as you mentioned in your original comment, please let me know and I will provide you with my email address. Thank you so much. Blessings and Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! I also started on Maschine Mikro MK2 then wasn't satisfied with the lack of knobs and screen so I upgraded to the regular Maschine MK2...then when MK3 came out, I also upgrade and it was even better. But when MPC One came out, I decided to sell my Maschine because I really wanted a standalone, since I really have the MPC 2500 SE on my wishlist ever since but I find it very expensive for an older generation MPC. But still I really do miss the Maschine MK3 workflow.
If you want to get into the mpc, Akai just released the MPC one, it’s stand alone and it’s a beast. It’s good for beginners for the same price as the MK3.
MPC more expensive .. in uk over £200 more .. I have the mk3 and the jam .. really impressed and got into the whole ecosystem and loving it .. I have thought several times I would like something standalone .. but to be honest I rarely look at the screen now and do almost everything in the HW .. BUT for certain aspects of the workflow I really do love the fact I have the mouse and screen .. been using Maschine since Mk1 and cannot find a reason to switch .. especially since they are evolving as they go and everything still works from the first project over 10 years ago till now
Paul Synk I feel you. I originally wanted the mk3 but it was sold out at the time so I ended up buying the MPC Touch, I have the micro mk2 and it’s dope, just need to spend more time with it. I’m more comfortable with my mpc and can knockout my ideas a lot faster
Agreed! Just got a Maschine+ for my bday and giving it another shot after my neglected attempt with the MK whatever that dropped in 2011. I love Ableton too but the stand-alone, no computer life is where it’s AT!! Love your videos, vibes and content 💯 🔥
Gonna do your online course, had a maschine mikro and now got the studio. I can make beats but very rarely finish a track especially mixed or mastered in any way. Looking forward to learning
Your story is very inspirational..I started with the mpc ren about 3 years ago..it was cool..then I tried the MK when I ran across dds page..tried it couldn’t get it..even did a FT session with him..but now I’ve been using FL and I love it..
I started with Maschine mk1 and it was so accesable that I fell in love with it from the getgo. It is still my DAW of choice eventhough I can imagine that it's not the best one.
im 43 and I started on the asr x pro, then the mpc 2000 and the xl...then reason then made beats in logic 8 for a while. then got a maschine mk2 then the studio and never really left NI since lol. i dont make a lot of music, I do other art but I love NI so much. i even had an sp404 for a while lol. im getting a s61 and a mk3 very soon.
I love both Sarah!! Maschine has the sounds via NI, the Live is dope because of simplicity!! They both have their own standouts!! First & foremost, do what YOU feel is the best for you!! Your buzz growing so I know you probably can afford a little more now!!😄😄😄 This was a great video though!! I'm very happy about your success, keep it up!! NC stand up!! Oh I'm basically a standalone guy. I like doing it all in whatever machine I'm using without a DAW. I'm a minimalist, what can I say??🤷🏿♂️😁👊🏿💯
I was in the same boat before I got Maschine. I owned a 2000XL but love Maschine more. I copped mine through zzounds. You can do payment plans with no credit checks. To all producers looking to buy gear check them out if your on a budget.
MPC 2000 Classic for production, Ableton Live for Mixing, Sp 404 Sx for effects, sometimes Is better to work with limitations, It makes you More creative, What I love about Maschine are the sound design tools, and the amazing sample libraries like kontakt, much love and respect from México, love your music.
Been using FL and just started messing with MPC Beats to put the drums down faster but, I have these damn Maschine things with the software all registered and everything but I just update it and walk right by it and its siblings everyday. (It's set up on the dining room table). Soooo with that being said, I saw you on TH-cam working with it and the faces of funk you make (LOL) it inspires me to "get to it" so I will and I'll give you a report i a bit. Thanks for the inspiration, If it weren't for you I wouldn't have brought these darn things in the first place. And by the way..... It's been refreshing to see your climb to success over the last few months. KEEP GOING SARAH.
Hi sarah☺️ how you doing hun, been a quick minute since I have been able to tune in and catch up, I finally upgraded to komplete ultimate end of last year and now I am loving the maschine, logic and maschine 2 and maschine mk3 combo is doing wonders for my creativity and I am loving it.
I was having a conversation earlier today about Maschine with KLC of Beats By The Pound he mentioned it, you just sold me on it! I'm going to order it now! Thanks for all the great info and everything you do pushing the culture forward!
I just bought it and im loving it. im so used to playing everything on the keys and guitar but this simplifies everything. there is definitely a learning curve
Ive used Mashine since 2012 with the mk1 until upgrading to the mk3 when it dropped, love it...ill use it with logic pro or without. Looking forward to seeing the changes they do with the arrangements and if it's gonna be more like a full blown DAW!!!
Hey Sarah. I understand the Maschine Love. It's not perfect but it's a great system for making music and due to it's positives and negatives it's the reason why I now have quite a few different workflows. My NI set up consists of Komplete Kontrol S61 mk2, Maschine Mikro mk2 and Maschine Jam. It's a great workflow. Chopping samples is fast and the sound library is vast. My current Akai MPC set up is just the MPC500 at the moment as my MPC2000XL is being fixed and upgraded. Originally I started using an MPC60 II that belonged to a producer friend back in the mid 90's, then I bought a MPC2000 towards the end of the 90's when I made my first set up. I didn't really get how to use it so my oldest son who was 11 at the time used it much more than I ever did. My preference was to use Music 2000 (MTV Music Generator) on Sony Playstation alongside a Yamaha DJX. Then I moved on to using Reason 2.5 rewired with Cakewalk Sonar 3 and I sticked with that format upgrade to Reason 3 then 5 and Sonar 6 then 8.5 over the years. I bought the MPC500 around this time but never really got into the MPC workflow (again) as Reason was so much more powerful and easier to use so I parked it. When I moved to Apple Mac I switched to Logic and Maschine Jam. The Jam can do so much. I was hooked. I wanted to play the pads though so I bought the Mikro to pair with it then the S61 to play keys. Sometimes the Maschine/Komplete software can get heavy on the CPU which is annoying so I built an analogue set up with a couple of high end new analogue synths (Moog Sub37 and Korg Prologue 16) and a few vintage ones along with an Arturia Drumbrute analogue drum machine and a Novation Circuit groove box. I took the MPC500 out of storage and learned to use it properly a few months ago and now that is integral in my set up. Aside from making beats with it I also use it to sequence my Korg Prologue which doesn't have an on board sequencer. It's great to have a variety of tools to be able to create what is in our mind. Practice makes perfect though and even if we only have one unit to make music with as long as we use it to the best of it's potential with a great idea then we have a great chance of making something awesome that others will find entertaining and inspirational.
I have a Maschine MK2, MPC Touch, and MPC Renaissance. I like Maschine workflow better, but find MPC pads more enjoyable. I love your content, and am a big fan. Can’t wait to see your opinion once you get an MPC. Keep the videos coming!
I've been a sonar fan for years until Cakewalk defunct and there were no more updates. Now I'm using studio one 5 Pro and absolutely love it. Just got the MK3 and trying to figure out how to use it. It's been difficult, I'm enjoying it. Chopping and editing samples seems a lot quicker in Maschine than in any of the DAWs that I currently use.
Maschine for getting a jam going or sometimes making a full beat. I use Ableton for vocals or sometimes adding more details to something I started in maschine
I’ve had ableton for about a year and still can’t get fluent with it for the life of me. I’ve had maschine mk3 for about a month and have made 10x more progress. If I knew how to use ableton I’d probably gain a massive advantage having both
Hi Sarah! New Subscriber here. And my DAW of choice is Magix's "Samplitude Pro X", the pseudo lil sister to the industry leading Magix's "Sequoia". It's got a massive learning curve which might turn many off but it's features outshine every other DAW I've ever used (FL, Ableton, Reaper and Sonar). But I want you to know that I just recently added the Maschine MK3 to my home studio which several of your videos helped me with my buying decision. I also use the Roland Fantom 8 keyboard Workstation alongside Samplitude to produce my music (New Wave, Progressive Trance and Ethereal Trance). Anyhow, I love your YT channel and I will be stopping by now and then to check in on you. 💖💖💖
If you are getting the really bad hiss sound that comes from the sp when you connect it through your mk3 try to plug in the power supply for the mk3. It stopped the hissing for me
had the exact same issue (just bought a 404), was driving me nuts until i figured out it wasn’t a cable issue. It’s definitely an issue with the maschine’s audio interface...if you don’t have the power supply plugged in, you’ll get the hissing noise. confirmed by also trying to route my maschine into ipad (msxii’s apps are great on ipad), got the same hiss. if you use the power supply with the maschine, the hiss should go away.
I used FL Studio for a year until buying a Maschine MK3 after stumbling across some videos by DDS825. I now use Maschine DAW for creating every beat, and then I use FL Studio to mix and master the trackouts that I export from Maschine. I haven't really tried mixing/mastering within Maschine DAW because I'm already familiar with my process in FL Studio with it, but might give it a shot within Maschine DAW sometime.
After one video I subscribed to Sarah's channel, for a number of reasons. She delves into the nuances, and she actually worked hard to get where she is.I grew up around intelligent, skilled, and secure women,so when i had daughters,I wanted all of them to be amazing at whatever they sought to achieve. It's important to have more women in music,in creative places in society, because they are no less vital than any creative man.Besides,as parents/family,or friends,we are supposed to support our loved ones in their working goals,so they can empower themselves. I peeked at Maschine years ago,yet i went another route for a bit, with the Roland MV8800.I spin music an wanted something i can easily use LIVE,and the Roland is definitely more a production device,so I am going to revisit NI.My DAWs i like happen to be Reaper and Acid, and maybe down the line i want to check out MOTU's stuff(Performer).I also am presently playing with open source software,on all my devices, even my tablet, like CSound, and since i have PCs,Macs,SGIs,and Sun machines,it becomes endless where i can go with it.My favorites sampler is my Ensoniq ASR10,and I have other samplers, because I merge that with analog synths,so getting Maschine would just keep me up all damn night...
Maschine is the closest you’ll get to Dawless Jammin’, I love that I don’t have to look at the computer when using it, it really feels like an instrument!
MPC Live mkII is coming out probably next week. Now's the best time to try it as it's basically the workflow Maschine is based on but can function standalone and is augmented with full computer integration that you can also record audio into. You can take your scenes and process them into one long sequence and then record vocals over it like in a DAW. If it weren't for Logic's mixing and mastering tools on my mac or my Cubasis 3 X Fabfilter stuff on my iPad, I wouldn't need to leave the environment for anything but sounds.
Thank you for your honest opinion. The buttons on the Akain MPK 225 are pressure sensitive. Playing around in FL with my current settings that's how I was able to control how hard kicks went. Overall, your video helped me in production bless up and progress in your path G. 🙏🏾 🥋
The Fact that people make DOPE beat records using just an SP-404 should prove to you that it's not the gear you use; it's your desire to create. I love your videos and your vibe. Great stuff!
Wanted to say thank you for the inspiration to buy a Roland SP-404SX! I have used Ableton and play with sounds but the Roland is impressive, Especially when I see someone djing with!
My DAW of choice is Cakewalk Sonar. I loved Maschine too but fell out because of their weak support for external MIDI hardware gear. If you want to see Maschine software crash, plug it up to more than one external MIDI device. I don't know if they fixed it with the MK3... but I didn't want to stick around to find out. I went back to AKAI. I'm using the MPC ONE. It's not as easy, but it is familiar enough to where I learned it and now it is comfortable and I don't have those MIDI problems anymore.
Thank you for all your videos. I just picked up the machine mk3 I know a lot late but was using a mpc live then live 2 but the workflow is crazy confusing and this feels so quick. But thanks again stay safe out there and keep making them banging beats.
I'm a reason user, I started on reason4 back in the day I'm stuck on 5 want the new one but, its definitely my ace of spades because it tought me to find inspiration from limatations. I use other DAWs for tracking and mixing.
love the honesty here 🙏 i love maschine but I still haven't learned it as well as logic, so logic is always my go to. dream daw is ableton for real, looks sooo good, just too much $$ atm
Im bouncin on the mk3 ass well. love it!!, logic x is great too. well i guess now a days, most systems are pretty good, it really comes down to skillz, and how you handle them. Great videos you got, one love from Scandinavia!!
So I got an sp404 (thanks to your inspiration :D ) I do not have that hissing sound though. If i use vinyl sim or other similar FX I get controllable hiss, but other than that it tracks quiet into studio one (my goto DAW) via focusrite 6i6
maschine and studio one is my best combination, mk3 is getting creative with the samples, komplete m32 is controlling the studio one, still hands on the hardware. i love this combination.
I used to use the MPC 2000 with ProTools. I then went Straight Garage Band. Then Garage Band and mix in Pro Tools. Now I’m using the Maschine MK3 and mixing down in ProTools. If I go waaaaayyyyy back, I used to make my drum tracks on the MPC 60 and other instruments on Ensoniq EPS 16 Plus.
I have a Maschine Studio with a Komplete S48. I have FL Studio XXL and that's what I played with first, but I love my Maschine. I'm thinking of adding a Jam.
I just got my mk3, (So far, other than precarious set-up, love it!) And must say, the sound is so good, makes me WANNA learn and strive to figure everything out, How are you getting on with yours ? I'm klayton86 on Twitter and KlaytonVonKluge on Instagram
Long time Reason and Maschine here. If you have Reason 11, get Blue Cat Patchwork plugin. You can then use the Reason Rack plugin inside Maschine software. It is like a dream come true since Maschine doesn't support VST3. Blue Cat hosts the reason plugins.
People have asked me what my favorite controller is to date and I’ve said time and time again since it’s release is maschine mk3 hands down , I’ve been asked what company makes the best sounds for there daw and expansions and I’ve said native instruments. I have a few stand alones and a few wired and none include the mk3 due to the fact I felt the daw has always felt counter intuitive and hinders my work flow with that said I purchased the mpc one which I track back to ableton because ableton to me is life , most my expansions are native instruments , down the road hopefully the company learns to play well with others and or steps up there daw functionality but for me ableton has been choice over all .
As for audio production (recording, mixing and mastering), I've been using Pro Tools for about 12 years and I started using Maschine 2 for music production since August 2019. I love my workflow and it helps me focus on my creativity flow as I make beats, record vocals and engineered them altogether
I've said before but you're the reason I use the Maschine (I have the MK1 I bought used) just picked up a Komplete Kontrol M32 so I could get the legal software plus of course because the keys look dope. Maschine/Ableton for beat creation is my go to now, and Studio One for recording vocals/mix/master
So do you think that now maschine has clips both hardware workflow and course teachings has to change. Like Suddenly NI maschine has become ableton live? I tend to use traditional DAWs like Cubase / reaper / logic simply because I am a classically trained pianist not really focusing on beats but actually playing accurately without sample aids. There is an incredible talent to arranging and this where the workflow aids really help structure the shell of any song. Rather than the limitless empty shell in a traditional DAW project. But in your opinion what are the best tips to structure your songs using maschine. I just bought an mk3 mikro which has opened the door to maschine software.
Sis, you're an INSPIRATION! Thank you for your videos and information. If you want to try out an MPC, I suggest starting with a 500 or a 1000. You can get them for less these days on Ebay. Also, get a pad upgrade from MPCstuff.com. Those pads feel MUCH better than the original stock pads that come with the MPC. Also, get the 128MB memory upgrade. Much better than the 16MB it comes with. The main difference between the 500 and the 1000 (without the JJOS upgrade), other than size, weight, screen size, pad number and number of tracks available, is that the 500 is more portable and battery powered. Both can fit inside your book bag but the 500 is more ideal if you want to make beats outside of your home on a daily basis. Less set up time and no need to search for a wall outlet. I wouldn't suggest going too much further back in time in terms of "classic" MPC's. Once you've made music with modern storage media, having to go back to dealing with floppies, or even floppy emulators, is WAY too slow and limited (1mb per beat idea?). MPC 500 & 1000 models come equipped with Compact Flash media card drives. The MAX memory on a 3000 or a 2000 is only 32MB. That's cool, I guess but 128MB is better, if you're used to dealing with more memory a la Native Instruments Maschine.
Might be a dumb question... but can you make melodies on Maschine ? Or do you need a midi keyboard? I imagine with the machine You just could play your drums and other sounds? Idk
I'm not a hip hop fan at all. And I'm a pianist. What else is Maschine good for? Especially for someone who can play piano, keys, organ, guitar, bass, drums etc...
Years ago , a RS7000 and Motif were the 1st pieces of gear I owned . I moved on to various other DAW ; but I still wish someone would make a new/updated groovebox or workstation . I literally did everything in those devices . I’m still not efficient in Maschine like I was with those devices
Before I purchased my Sp404 I struggled between the 404, MPC live and a Machine for myself. It really all depends on what your end goal is on how you want to create. I wanted something I could do mobile since I'm often never home, and something I don't have to plug in due to my lack of space depending on where I was. I start my tracks on my SP. The limits it has versus a DAW on a PC helps me focus on the creative aspect of the track without drowning in too many choices while still offering a way to make the sounds you want. I only have hissing if I'm recording with the Compressor on. I feed my finished track into my DAW, fix it up, send it back and forth when I get back home.
The old MPCs, the sp12 and the sp1200 are the best drum machines ever made! My personal machine is the mpc2500 not the newest not the oldest. Works perfect to me.
Getting mine today. I tried MPC and it just doesn’t t promote creativity. Feels more like a suite of tools in a box than something cohesive. It’s also very file-divey. No sound/sample/preset tagging so you end up browsing endless files to find what you want and you have to make sure you use a specific file name structure. Just getting samples into a project on MPC felt like work and required a lot more forethought/planning. I felt like it’s workflow was a creativity killer. I ended up sending it back. Maschine seems like it’s more fun/easy to use and a much more cohesive experience. Just watching videos showing how you create groups seems like it’s a faster experience than the MPC.
I've been using Reason for 14 years. I have a huge MPC background. I've used most of the previous models (60, 3000, 2000, etc) over the years. So BECAUSE of that, when I tried Maschine, the sequencer wasn't as intuitive to me. So 3 years ago, I added the MPC Touch to my setup
PS if you're going Vintage AKAI, go MPC 3000 (I sold mine recently) But it'll be a treasure hunt! most won't get rid of theirs. Also, it's the last one Roger Linn made and has a mistake it in that gives it the classic swing ALL DAW's try to emulate. hope that helps
I’m just starting out through Full Sail. So Logic Pro 10 is my favorite DAW is my favorite right now. But as I improve I plan to to venture out to either Ableton or FL Studios when I get better
In 07 it was FL STUDIO up til when i got maschine in 2012...i bought the MK3 last year and i love it BUT????? The great 2020 lockdown & quarantine gave me more time than ever and i have fallen in love with FL STUDIO (20) agaim..... sometimes i use maschine as a VST inside FL STUDIO
I've been using the Maschine MK2 since 2014. Love the DAW and its internal effects. I actually learned music production solely with Maschine and my MK2 but once I migrated over to Ableton, I found it's a real pain in the ass to use Maschine as a VST inside Ableton. I used to do everything in Maschine then bounce my stems into Ableton fur further mixing/processing but that became cumbersome overtime. Then I found a couple of cool templates that made the workflow easier but I personally don't like using Maschine as a VST because now I'm bouncing back and forth between 2 different DAW's (Ableton + Maschine) and it hampered my workflow. So now I just use Ableton and use my MIDI keyboard to trigger my drums but it looks like NI is going to make the Maschine software into a fully-fledged DAW, which would be amazing.
I make beats in stand alone then master them in a daw. Some times I drag and drop into studio one. It depends how I feel. I started making beats on a DR909 sampler / Drum machine. Sampling vinyl and random tapes and CD’s. Then I witches to reason then I went to Cubase now I make beats in Maschine and studio one. I have tried FL which has a blur sample mode which is dope and I love there glide in the piano roll. But it just didn’t do it for me. I have tried ableton it’s cool. I didn’t have the push though. The maschine hardware is just so amazing. Especially when you get into the note repeat in chord mode and make crazy arps out of sounds and the scale mode it’s just so fast. It won’t replace my keyboard but sometimes I just want to use the maschine hardware.
Im a Logic user but I use Maschine in Logic as well as Reason. Logic for mixing/mastering/instruments. Maschine for mixing/drums/instruments. Reason for instruments.
I bought the MPC Live because I wanted to make beats on the go. However, I just got frustrated and ended up opening up Maschine or Bitwig instead. I sold it after a year. I hope NI makes a standalone unit.
If you can get a MPC500 secondhand give it a try. It's may seem limited at first but when you realize how far you can push the limitations it may well be what you are looking for. AA battery operated for on the go or wall plug powered when you're indoors and it has a sound that is comparable to the older MPC models.
I recently got a MacBook, tried Logic...dont like it Got a mpc live ...I’m sending it back.... With Maschine...I figured out how to use it years ago...Im working to many hours a week to learn a new system...
What's your DAW of choice? and WHY?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!
Sarah2ill I’m going to buy your class... when I get done watching this video...
I love Logic Pro x. I use logic for composition and producing. Plus it’s pretty easy for me for mixing.
I did it Kay-Smooth
MpkMiniMk2 and MPD26 + Studio One 4 in a laptop+Presonus AudioBoxUsb96, vinyls vinyls vinyls with Numark Pt01Scratch, cause I can carry all of them everywhere I want, the Akai devices are really solids so they're good for traveling, the Presonus' daw is a good compromise of all the functions in the other daws...#PeaceAndSupportFromFrance
I use Reason
My daw of choice is primarily FL Studio, then Maschine and sometimes Ableton.
What I love about your videos is despite your success, you’re not afraid to share your struggles & your come up. I take that away from your videos more than anything. Totally, TH-cam sometimes makes me feel like I'm the only one who isn't a fully accomplished at X ( whatever they are showing you )
I started with Maschine studio 4 years ago.
Sarah, I am glad I found your channel. My 13 year old daughter would like to produce music. I will have her watch your videos.
i fell in love with the workflow of the maschine mk3 even before i had it. found some amazing tutorials on how it works, that i am not going to drop here.
making beats with it and the maschine software works great for me.
on the portability note: i have just been on a holiday with a 12hr trainride each way and took my maschine and laptop with me. get yourself a backpack that fits both, plus some headphones and cables. once you turn it on and plug it in, the laptop can go back into your bag.
if you even read this, Sarah keep that fire comin. really enjoying your vids and beats!
DeffBaer, I am thinking about purchasing an MK3. I have been going back and forth between the MPC (new generation) and the MK3. I am into sampling and the 90's boom bap style of production (I was a young adult in my 20's during the heyday of the 1990's). how you're getting on w/ the mpc now? still missing the maschine workflow?
@@offTheMedsYe They put too much plugins on the MPC it is becoming a DAW than a sampler. Also, the Maschine MK3 pads are still the best.
Congrats on 50k queen
Mate✌🏽 love this video.. it’s really informative and inspiring! Your smashing it mate!! Keep on🎧
Ableton for years and years. Ableton at heart But I picked up mk3 Maschine two weeks ago and I’m digging it! Excited for the new updates to come..
If you want to get into the mpc, Akai just released the MPC one, it’s stand alone and it’s a beast. It’s good for beginners for the same price as the MK3.

Agreed! Just got a Maschine+ for my bday and giving it another shot after my neglected attempt with the MK whatever that dropped in 2011. I love Ableton too but the stand-alone, no computer life is where it’s AT!! Love your videos, vibes and content 💯 🔥
Doesn't it look a bit obsolete these days? The screens are too small, CPU is too weak... I think myself to buy it but have these concerns :)
Gonna do your online course, had a maschine mikro and now got the studio. I can make beats but very rarely finish a track especially mixed or mastered in any way. Looking forward to learning
Been a maschine studio user for years but i'm going to look into your course to learn some new things regarding samples.
Hi sarah☺️ how you doing hun, been a quick minute since I have been able to tune in and catch up,
I finally upgraded to komplete ultimate end of last year and now I am loving the maschine, logic and maschine 2 and maschine mk3 combo is doing wonders for my creativity and I am loving it.
Thank you for converting me! I couldn't be more grateful!
MASCHINE MK3 IS THE JOINT FOR ME LOVE IT, AND SARA YOUR DOPE BY THE WAY. KEEP GOING!!!!
It stopped the hissing for me
Thanks for the advice!
had the exact same issue (just bought a 404), was driving me nuts until i figured out it wasn’t a cable issue.
I personally want a Maschine I love the layout and I love how hands on it the mk3 is
Maschine is the closest you’ll get to Dawless Jammin’, I love that I don’t have to look at the computer when using it, it really feels like an instrument!
Maschine MK3 and Native Instruments Software is my Goto. Thanks for this post Fam🙏🏽👩🏽🚀
Go ahead and upgrade. You won't regret it.
I started on reason 4 too. Lol
love the honesty here 🙏 i love maschine but I still haven't learned it as well as logic, so logic is always my go to. dream daw is ableton for real, looks sooo good, just too much $$ atm
If i use vinyl sim or other similar FX I get controllable hiss, but other than that it tracks quiet into studio one (my goto DAW) via focusrite 6i6
I use logic, but one day I want to go dawless, and also my mac is getting old and I don't have fund to get a new one, so I'll need to change soon
maschine and studio one is my best combination, mk3 is getting creative with the samples, komplete m32 is controlling the studio one, still hands on the hardware. i love this combination.
Ableton for beatmaking and Studio One for mixing and recording. I Also use the MPC 2500 and the 2000XL for my standalone workflow
I had mpk25 as well. Them pads broke my fingers. Now i am on Maschine solely. Can’t wait for the new song mode!
I have a Maschine Studio with a Komplete S48. I have FL Studio XXL and that's what I played with first, but I love my Maschine. I'm thinking of adding a Jam.
My mpc is a beast.. And this is the video I was talking about where you said that you didnt use the mpc.. I'm not crazy 🤣
I've had the MK3 For about two year's. The sound quality is on point. I just have to sit down with it and learn. Reason studios is what I mainly use.
I just got my mk3,
(So far, other than precarious set-up, love it!)
And must say, the sound is so good, makes me WANNA learn and strive to figure everything out,
How are you getting on with yours ?
I'm klayton86 on Twitter and
KlaytonVonKluge on Instagram
Long time Reason and Maschine here. If you have Reason 11, get Blue Cat Patchwork plugin. You can then use the Reason Rack plugin inside Maschine software. It is like a dream come true since Maschine doesn't support VST3. Blue Cat hosts the reason plugins.
shoutout from Van city. Appreciate your honesty Sarah!
People have asked me what my favorite controller is to date and I’ve said time and time again since it’s release is maschine mk3 hands down , I’ve been asked what company makes the best sounds for there daw and expansions and I’ve said native instruments. I have a few stand alones and a few wired and none include the mk3 due to the fact I felt the daw has always felt counter intuitive and hinders my work flow with that said I purchased the mpc one which I track back to ableton because ableton to me is life , most my expansions are native instruments , down the road hopefully the company learns to play well with others and or steps up there daw functionality but for me ableton has been choice over all .
roisin dubh you’re right about their sounds 🔥
I’m also a maschine mk3 user and I also use the akai force midi up with a sp-404
You’ve got to go an old school mpc, I bought a 2kxl and I love it
My MPC4000 is collecting dust after I got the One.
I love my IPad and it kick ass seriously and I have the MPC Live , Sp 404 , Roland MV, and other gear. IPad is a serious Gumbo machine👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
As for audio production (recording, mixing and mastering), I've been using Pro Tools for about 12 years and I started using Maschine 2 for music production since August 2019. I love my workflow and it helps me focus on my creativity flow as I make beats, record vocals and engineered them altogether
J Dilla
Dope video like always!
Especially for someone who can play piano, keys, organ, guitar, bass, drums etc...
shout out Ableton. bought a MK3 a week ago and love it.
Years ago , a RS7000 and Motif were the 1st pieces of gear I owned . I moved on to various other DAW ; but I still wish someone would make a new/updated groovebox or workstation . I literally did everything in those devices . I’m still not efficient in Maschine like I was with those devices
I have had Maschine MK3 since it came out and i'm still madly in love!
just got a mikro mk2 man this thing is a game changer for me, using maschine inside flstudio awesome
My primary tool is studio one 4. I do miss using masculine to make beats. Will buy a mk3 soon I do miss the workflow.
Exactly 💯 how I feel. I just prefer to feel the beats
Just watching videos showing how you create groups seems like it’s a faster experience than the MPC.
great video. Im considering getting the mikro ... a mikro with a laptop would have the same functionality as the full mk3 ?
I like maschine but man logic is a beast I didn’t know the work flow is crazy. The main reason is I can record and produce in one daw
Nothing has ever compared to that MPC swing!
I’m just starting out through Full Sail. So Logic Pro 10 is my favorite DAW is my favorite right now. But as I improve I plan to to venture out to either Ableton or FL Studios when I get better
Get ableton. I came from the exact same situation u did, from logic. Ableton is everything logic does but Better imo. Whatever works for u tho
@@rowanonx5806 bet I’ll give it a try
In 07 it was FL STUDIO up til when i got maschine in 2012...i bought the MK3 last year and i love it BUT????? The great 2020 lockdown & quarantine gave me more time than ever and i have fallen in love with FL STUDIO (20) agaim..... sometimes i use maschine as a VST inside FL STUDIO
Excited for upcoming Maschine update!
i love making pieces in machine. but the arranger is tedious so i export it into bitwig and then arrange and automate.
Recently bought an MPC live, especially with the plugins instruments.
Use what you have tough
Machine is awesome and its gonna get waayyy better with these new changes & updates they're adding 🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽
Thanks for this... Looking to jump in on the Maschine universe
By the way:
MK3 is an abbreviation for 'Marque 3'
I can't wait to get a Technics or some other similar, turntable , and doing legit vinyl lp samples with my own Maschine mk3 , looks fun
Im a Logic user but I use Maschine in Logic as well as Reason.
Logic for mixing/mastering/instruments.
Maschine for mixing/drums/instruments.
Reason for instruments.
you should get a vintage MPC like the 3000
i Use Logic because is the best daw 4 not heating up your computer but i also have maschine in slave mode......
Wish granted. Its definitely over priced tho
I just started recently using Reason 10 with Macshine studio, which works better together than my Logic Pro setup. Plus I’m using pc now
Man I’ve used the MPC 1000, 2000, and Renaissance, and i would use the Maschine any day over them, but much bigger fan of the NI studio
I recently got a MacBook, tried Logic...dont like it
Got a mpc live ...I’m sending it back....
With Maschine...I figured out how to use it years ago...Im working to many hours a week to learn a new system...
