Seneca Tyree Thanks a lot dude! I really appreciate the feedback. What’s your secret sauce in Maschine+vocal recording, do you have any other tips & tricks that I didn’t cover?
@@DYVNbeats My apologies for the late response. We really have to chat off line. But yes, I will be uploading new video about the whole process very soon.
Here's a fun tip: If you'd like to record your vocal tracks with fx while hearing them in your headphones, simply put some eq or reverb or whatever on a track, set the input of that track to 1 L+R (where your mic is plugged in) and on the next track set your output to the track you put the fx on...now you can monitor yourself with fx :)
Hey man this is awesome. Your video inspires me. I'd love to know how i can record a LIVE performance of my vocal AND the beats together and be able to mix them to make a youtube video? Pls help. 🙏🏻
Hey dude, glad to hear you're inspired! That's always my goal : ) Would love to help if you could be a bit more specific about your question. Do you mean you would like to know how to export your beat into one complete wave-track?
Hey Jordan, thanks for your question! You can change the color of a sound / group by right clicking and choosing a different color. In my case I just put it in a different order (and purple comes as the 6th color by default -- after orange, yellow, etc). Not sure if I understand the question correctly but maybe this helps: in your plugin section, if you right click onto the instrument, go to "internal" and you can choose either "sampler" or "audio". Audio is a regular wave file (that let's you play all the way through - very comfortable to work with!) while sampler gives you more options editing your audio and basically treats it like a Midi note. Hope this helps! If this wasn't your question, feel free to ask again ;)
Your video gave so much inspiration, I’ve now grabbed Jam + Maschine MK3 + S88 Keys. Sampling vocals and guitar via my Helix Rack is paramount. I’ve almost gave up DAW(s) and mouse 🤣🎧
Amira Marshall Hi! Not sure if that’s what you mean by “control” but if you just mean how do you play melodies and chords with midi notes - you just plug in your midi controller and play. Does that answer your question?
KING C FLEMING Do you have a USB connection for the mic or does it have an XLR cable? If it has a USB connection, then no. If it’s an XLR cable, then you need an audio interface.
Generally yes (Autotune EFX is what I’m using, not the regular one) - but it has been kind of unreliable to me. Sometimes it wouldn’t work and the entire track then will get muted. But when it works, it works. Also my experience with it was on an older version of MacOS and Maschine - my wife says for her it does work well (macOS Catalina, Maschine 2.10).
Thanks for the video!! I find it really hard to focus on explanation videos, but your video keeps me focused so, really helpful!! I do think this way of recording takes away the freedom in making up melodies. But that might not matter depending on the style. Great video anyway!
Thanks! That’s great feedback :) I do agree - it is not for every style of vocal production.. At this point, for a full blown track, I do end up producing it in Logic, to give it that polished shine the vocal track needs. But recording in Maschine is great for a quick hook or some lofi stuff.
What I don’t get in Maschine is, how do you get one sample to play over all or multiple scenes? How do I do that if I wanted to record the vocals in one shot, without having to record each scene separately?
Ahh of you click up top and change it to song mode it will play right through all samples. Im going to try this this week and get back to ya. But it should be able to just loop through all the scenes for one bit vocal take.
Hallo DYVN Ich finde deine deutschsprachigen tutorials wirklich Bombe.

great video I appreciate it so much cuz ive been using maschine for years and have this same issue... I have a komplete audio 6 interface but I have issues with volume and being able to add effects and effect plug-ins live... so yea can i ask what interface are you using here???
vlove888 thanks for the comment! i’m currently using a 2018 mac mini with the 6-core i5 processor, 8gb ram and (unfortunately) 256gb storage. i put all my samples on an external hard drive which works fine and is fast enough; but at this point i’d prefer to have more internal storage and have it all saved on the device tbh. so that’s my only minor regret with it. other than that it works like a charm (most of the time).
@@DYVNbeats thanks for replying back, it's probably better that you got the 8gb model cause you can upgrade it cheaper than what apple want to do it for.
Wait... Did he say his name was Dylan??? As in "Spitting Hawt Fiya, Dylan?" As in, "Who are the 5 greatest rappers of all time?" "That's easy. Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan and Dylan."
tompparaideri I have one since January. I agree in most terms. Some things worked better for me on the Mk2 Series (transport buttons!!) but mostly - yes, the Mk3 is great! 👍
Man I need to try Maschine one day looks like a good workflow 🔥🔥🔥
I’m sure you’ll love the workflow!
It's great, but does take some effort to learn at first
Ya man. A bit of a learning curve from other Daws, but its quite easy once you figure it out.
Bro, you are the best. I only use maschine when I record my vocals. I do everything in maschine only. Great video!!!

duuuuude. that's a game changer to me. thanks a lot for sharing!
@@DYVNbeats yeah dude same here. I'd figured it out like an hour before i stumbled across your vid and thought it was worth sharing 🤗
OMG🙆🏽♂️ Genius!
Absolutely bro. Thanks.
Will this technique record the FX onto the recording?
You guys are goals as F,keep it up
Thx so much for this!!!
Can you do melodyne in Maschine ?

Hi, maybe you could edit the video afterwards and replace the audio of the video with the finished performance.
Hey dude, glad to hear you're inspired! That's always my goal : ) Would love to help if you could be a bit more specific about your question. Do you mean you would like to know how to export your beat into one complete wave-track?
how can you listen to the beat while you record your voice??
Hey, you did not show us how you made the vocal chop into a midi note. you also changed it from purple to yellow?
Please explain as I am stuck
Jordan Run yeah me too
I'm pretty sure the midi note is just triggering the sample of the vocal.

How do you properly gain stage the vocal coming into maschine so that it's not coming in too hot?
That’s awsome that man thanks so much
you’re very welcome!
lemme know if u got any questions
how do you record longer then one scene without it looping im stuck on that like free record and itmakes two patterns longer then one scene
How do I control samples in Maschine with a MIDI keyboard?
Amira Marshall Hi! Not sure if that’s what you mean by “control” but if you just mean how do you play melodies and chords with midi notes - you just plug in your midi controller and play. Does that answer your question?

Naw I wouldn’t trade a daw like logic for recording vocals for a sampler recorder. I like maschine for making instrumentals.
I oftentimes use Logic, too. But it’s a nice option imo.
Once the audio clipping comes in it will be easier on the next upgrade
Any1 ever tell u that u look like andrew schulz
Maschine MK3 would make you maschine experience 5 million times better.
