    Actually back in 1970 myself and a friend had a big disagreement and we both stood a stace with fists clenched and raised for a fight.
    I could not believe it, my friend that was more slight than me came forward bent down and lifted my feet off of the ground, he carried out this move so fast I did not see it coming, I was winded and the fight was over!
    I always thought after that he fought unfair, but looking back he was the clever one.
    And by the way, we shook hands and carried on being friends, although I was wary of what other moves he knew lol

    oh there are a lot of problems:
    1. The attacker is not cooperative at all !!
    2.He is not disabling the attacker as he gets on the ground, always we are told to crumble the man parts after taking the attacker down just like a human should
    -_- (sarcastic)

    THAT is why I love carrying my cane-- a quick snap right between the legs-- 1- often "rakes" the inside of the leg and shin- with lots of pain before hitting the target- nuts 2- bone on bone hurts- but WOOD on bone- at speed-- damages!!(and they will NOT resist it) 3- is quick--too quick for them to stop or block especially if you're talking to them and they're mind is on your face or whatever.. it's just EASIER with cane-- and FASTER..

    The only person this technique will work on is probably an invalid or senior citizen. Do not try it on a tough street fighter if you want to walk away in one piece.

      indeed, luckily we dont have any street fighters here where i live. can you please answer this question truth fully?. i have been working out (cardio, resistenc training, basic militairy training and more) for 1 and a half year would i be able to use aikido and my basic training to defeat a normal human wih little experience of fighting?

      @@positivebird0004 Ask an Aikido expert. If you are serious and want to be able to defend yourself and even beat someone join a Martial Arts school teaching a recognised style ran by a known legitimate Organisation / Federation. Do not attend 2-week crash courses given by charlatan self-appointed "masters" who have questionable qualifications themselves.

    Man am in Africa so when a Nigerian talks about village, man Aku to crazy! I miss village didn't know that West Africans also called rural Africa village and then you have to go off about trapped, man back in the day that was a hit song in Africa bro you make me wanna break dance, do a back spin on something, that song used to play a lot when my mom picked me up from school ( tear in my eye paps died this year ), ( can't you see am so trapped and I don't know what to do, damn! ) Anyway like Ahmed said in the song "Back in the day" I need to stop reminiscing, so question , but wait by the way rural Africa is disappearing, soon you will not be able to get that freedom and fresh air but I digress what if instead of a fancy knee pull I just went all savage and just run through my attacker? And hell how do I contact that inner animal?

    As a little kid I backed into the corner of a brick wall as a tactic against a kick boxer. worked really well first he trued another shin kick hit the wall, then elbows same thing grazed the skin of those, then with tears in his eyes he tryed punching my face and lost the skin on his nuckles. after that I moved on him and he went straight down.

    While I follow this idea the attacker, in this case, is rather passive. If he is attacking you in some way which is likely grabbing or striking, his commitment makes him vulnerable to other forms of defence which do not make a strike, especially with a blade or other weapon, so likely. Even in a corner you can move offline and somethineg like Katagatame and variants of iriminage or tenchi are quite usable and also get you out of the corner in the event of multiple attackers. Better yet, don't get cornered. I have tested some of these possibilities myself and you have to be pretty closely trapped not to have the option of sideways movement.

    Deer sirs, you take a valid concept of double leg take down or morote-gari, mix it with sukui-nage and execute it all terribly. In addition in the real world an aggressor is often much heavier than the victim and attacking the legs often means them sprawling with their body on you. It's more demanding and harder to execute than it seems. And surely someone who is struggling with a proper form, shouldn't teach it

  • @toddellner5283
    @toddellner5283 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do you have to modify this if your attacker isn't starting off at a polite boxing distance? If he's up closer the drop and forward momentum you're using to make this work might not be there. Would you switch to something else at that point?

    His shoulder is not even on the “belly”
    It’s beneath the arm pit
    This shit won’t work in real life.

      @anhkhoi2358 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s why they mentioned the ‘distraction’ on the upper body and perform the move ‘quickly and without pauses’, this move works similar to the double leg takedown- you cannot shoot the takedown effectively without creating distractions first

      My first impulse while charging the trapper would be to drive the elbow of my leading arm into his throat. That way my upper arm would give some cover from strikes to my head. My body would be open to attack but if my elbow hits his throat I'm not worried about it.
