Ohh you're so so cute! I love how you explained everything! You should have way more subscribers! As a fellow calligrapher I love pen holders and all calligraphy supplies. I've been looking for a new oblique pen holder and this one from Tom's Studio is so gorgeous! I would love to try it, but it's so expensive. Too much for my pocket. Maybe in the future :)

Thank you! It is definitely beautiful, and who knows, maybe you could snag one in the future during a sale!

It's been a couple of months now, I'd love to know how you feel about the Flourish pen, now? I'm interested in buying one, but mostly want to know if you feel the 'nut' consistently keeps the nib tightly in place...? Thank you :)

Hi Juanita! I still love using the Flourish Pen, and personally have not had any issues with nibs slipping out while writing.

Where did you buy the Pumpkin Nib?

I am curious if you have had problems gripping the pen. With the sleek metal design does it slide around in your hands? Sometimes it gets a little hot where I am at, so sweaty hands comes into play. Just wondering if you have had any issues with it. Also, thank you for posting your review, there are not many reviews about his products that are not on his site.

I definitely get sweaty hands sometimes when I write and this pen can certainly slide in your hands. I hold my pen fairly close down to the flange and nib though so I don’t find it to be a huge issue. If you have crazy sweaty hands all the time, a wooden holder might be better? You could also consider wrapping some suede or leather around the holder where you hold it to give yourself extra grip!

You can purchase lead refills on Toms Studio website and it says it is HB lead, 3.15mm diameter!

Because it's a heavier pen, does it tire you out when you need to write for hours, like addressing envelopes and other wedding stuff?

I haven’t found my hand to be more tired than usual with any other nib holder when doing a lot of writing! I think it’s definitely personal preference though, since I know a lot of people would prefer a lighter pen. What really determines how tired or cramped my hand gets is how hard I’m squeezing my pen, so making sure to keep a loose hand while writing is important!
