May I just comment on how refreshing this video is? In the first place, it's really nice to see a good player such as yourself who's not really gone through such a process before be as engaged and enthusiastic as you were. Like you, I really do enjoy numbers and data (maybe too much, sometimes 😅) and it's really nice to be able to see your data, both before and after the changes. Jake really seems to know his stuff and I appreciate his analysis of the data. Furthermore, he took the time to help you with your stroke and to teach you about what happens during it and all the variables that are at play in putting. He through in a special for your viewers and he even threw in a reference to TXG (l do like their videos). Hats off to him! This video is evidence that the pathway to good golf involves both improvements to your technique and to your equipment (and not just one or the other). Perhaps most importantly though, it's truly refreshing to see someone not just pick a club (off the rack, no less) based on how well they hit it at the PGA Superstore. You seemed to be a good sport throughout the process and I applaud you for that. It's not always easy to hear that you could be doing something wrong, let alone actually change what you're doing to make it better and you took on both very well. It also seems that you're doing well with making your videos your own and differentiating yourself from the rest of the Good Good squad. Just one thing, if I may be so bold: shorts when it's 34 degrees outside seems a bit questionable. I certainly hope they weren't your go-to over the last few days of snow and ice! Keep up the good work and God bless mate!

At ping fitting they said many great putters actually have a tendency to aim a bit left or right but the key is they hit there start line very consistently. If that means they naturally close or leave the club a bit open in combo with where they aim to hit that start line ...that is working with their natural stroke instead of trying to get everything zeroed out

It's almost like your driver fade had bled over into your putting. My putter fitting said your stroke is fine, your putter is fine; walked out with the same putter I walked in with. Conclusion for me: Practice more. So, bought an indoor putting matt (5 holes), make a ton of putts every day in the 3 to 10 ft. range, and changed my grip & alignment process as a result of the practice. For some it's the arrow, for some it's the Indian, sometimes it's a blend of the two.
I have a putter with toe hang. Did he say you should putt a little bit more on the inside of the middle line on your toe hang putter? Or should you line it up directly with your toe hang putter? (Just wanna become a better putter myself!)
His point was that the line is often not painted on true center. Line a ball up with the center of your putter face and then compare that with the line on the back of the putter. That's how you'll know if you need to adjust.
Remember your eyes are vertically Inside the Vertical Line that would rise directly above the Alignment Stripe. Get a Friend to hold your Putter steady as you center the Ball in Front of the Stripe. Then move yourself into your Putting Stance while your friend keeps the Putter locked in the same position. Does the Ball Position look the same, relatively to your "Normal Setup"? Probably NOT.

Hey Micah I reall appreciate you asking immediately what a putter fitting consists of because as soon as you walked in i asked that question to myself lol
Reduced the Putter's Loft because Plumbers Neck Putters have more built in Forward Shaft Lean. Designed for those who use a Forward Hand Position at Setup to induce F S L, or those that use a pronounced Forward Press to initiate their Stroke, which also sets F S L. Micah has a more Vertical Shaft setup, so it would have been nice to see him test a Newport 2.5, or Something that's a MORE Toe Flow style Non Plumbers Neck Putter.

Hey Micah I reall appreciate you asking immediately what a putter fitting consists of because as soon as you walked in i asked that question to myself lol
Mention of the TXG guys, that would be a cool collaboration, if you love data .. Ian and the guys would provide that and more.
Never had a thought about putter fitting. I would go for this rather than the driver fitting
How is he not at 100k yet
Drive for show! Putt for dough$$👍👍✌✨
I've noticed you swing your like your putter.a little outside to in..maybe you prefer to fade your drives...✌💖👍👍
Swing your driver..doh🤣
Reduced the Putter's Loft because Plumbers Neck Putters have more built in Forward Shaft Lean.
Designed for those who use a Forward Hand Position at Setup to induce F S L, or those that use a pronounced Forward Press to initiate their Stroke, which also sets F S L.
Micah has a more Vertical Shaft setup, so it would have been nice to see him test a Newport 2.5, or Something that's a MORE Toe Flow style Non Plumbers Neck Putter.
Interesting stuff.
Y’all need to play pinnacle peak golf and country club in Scottsdale Arizona very reasonable and very hard and very nice prestige golf link
Great video. So if I set up a putter fitting at this place, does Jake fit you or is it like TXG where you don't get Ian, you end up with one of the flunkies?
You can get Ian you just have to pay more. I’m going to get a fitting from him once the restrictions are lifted.
Man, I thought I was subscribed to your channel this whole time but wasn’t. New subscriber, been following for a while though
Thanks bro!!
At last mate!!
I'm a 60 year old man and you young man can smack the snot off a golf ball. Great videos of you and your boys playing rounds. You should hook up with Golf Test Dummy and have a match. You're a scratch golfer he's more like a 15 so some strokes you'd have to give him👍😀
Just waiting for the driver video
I bought a odyssey o-tank #7 and one odyssey o-tank #17 2-ball yesterday and I’m giving one of them to my brother on his birthday but haven’t decided which one yet. Have you tested any of those putters Tig? Great and interesting video✊
I went from the Nike method blade to the Nike method core drone for that reason I was too inconsistent with the blade
This is so impressive, I had no idea they had taken putting to such a scientific level.
What’s your order at dunkin?
Medium black coffee and two chocolate glazed donuts
Hey tig!!!!
my putter fitting is going to golf town, hitting 3 putts and if they all go in then it's in my bag the next day
But you have a (BGT) stability shaft? Did you not get fit for that?
What grip is on your putter?
Who is doing the putter fitting? Where are they located?
Did you see some pretty steady improvements in your putting game, post fitting!? I want to get fitted! Wondering what I should expect results wise!?
That shaft walk got my shaft ha....
Damn bro
Jake vs Tig?
I’ll do it! Perhaps it will happen one day
Sorry if this has been asked but he kind of glossed over ball position. Did he suggest a ball position based on your eye dominance?
I’m Rt handed and right eye dominant and was told to play it just in front of center vs up in my stance
Thanks
