JT just rules! He's the goat , one of the best out there . Everything he explains is so natural and easy to understand! Transforms your mind from technically confused to technically enlightened
The 30 day challenge is one thing, but this video is by far the best. Everyone knows Micah struggles around the greens with his stab action but this is what he needs and I need around the green.
Just had my first short game lesson this month and we went over this same thing! When I'm too far to pitch, but too close to putt, I've always struggled. These strategies/techniques worked for me the last 3 rounds I played! Great information, here. Thank you!
The great thing is how good of an athlete Micah is.. Within a couple of shots(ofcourse this is edited) his body understands what is needed and he produces it.. Great lesson, I'll be showing this to a lot of golfing buddies
One thing I found really helpful was to make a chipping chart waist ribs and shoulder with 8 iron down to 60 degree wedge carry and total, then there’s no indecision just check the chart and go 👍.
Second time I’m watching this video but this time I’m at the range and wow is all I can say! It feel so right with my left arm glued to my chest! Love it man!!
Man, this is some good stuff! I've been trying all sorts of things with my chipping, with very mixed results. I really like the simplicity of this approach and can't wait to start working this into my practice routine!
Excellent, well explained and demonstrated. Been to highly ranked schools and never experienced this perspective, mostly angle of attack, set up and bounce usage and of course “clock positions for varied distance…. Sooo 👍 good
Love to see this. This is how I try to pitch/chip and wasn’t sure if I’m was on the right track because I sometimes chunk it or thinning it, but is probably then I getting to hansy. Great video
Took this lesson to the practice green today. From 45 yards to 5 yards off the green I used my SW and 50° wedge with outstanding results. I had being hitting 12 and 13 of 14 fairways. Hitting average of 11 greens in regulation. But losing a bunch of strokes to thinning and having the ball run up the club face. Hit 200 chips. Had 4 thinned and a couple maybe 8 shorties. 90+ percent shots inside 15’. Unbelievable how well this works. Best golf tip of the year.
Watched the video yesterday and today was a magical practice session…. Chipped in 6 times and the consistency was like never before😊.. Fantastic video ! Thank You❤
Jt’s method of teaching makes me really want to pursue a career in teaching golf. I may be 34 and a 15 handicap seeing videos featuring him, makes me want to grind in my game and get enrolled in school. It’s good to see the game is going to be in good hands when the older generation starts to phase out.
Good instructional video, I know this style of chipping has helped my game a lot. It took a lot of getting use to because it seemed counter to what my head was telling me. But JT is right, it creates consistency which is what is required on all golf strokes. The key is to think about the process, and take a practice swing before committing.
This technique is a cheat code. Just worked on it for 15 minutes in my garage hitting bay and it absolutely works. Will put a lot of practice in with this approach. Thanks Micah and J.T.!
Great training video Tig. I was glued to your last video w/JT. In this video not much if any discussion was said about ball position. Maybe I missed that. Just curious. Keep up the great content.
Good video. I’d recommend Dan grieve as a supplement to this video. Goes more in depth into how to hit different shots around the green and is a very clear instructor.
As someone who hits the ball far too, this was extremely helpful. The first lesson is exactly my problem. Putting that club too far forward. Most of my misses are long.
Wow, great instructions! 45yrs of playing and I never heard of these drills. Right now, I'm REALLY struggling with my pitching/chipping...I'm almost at the point where I want to quit the game. Do you use the same technique if you have a poor lie? Thanks.
Is he not there? Didn’t he pass it end of 2022 like predicted? Wasn’t he the best that good good had to offer? I mean sure Grant is now well beyond that and his content draws in 500k + every week but Micah was the GOAT of good good
At 13:50 When Micah turns to the camera with a look of pleasure at having something make sense and work, it demonstrates how much he is enjoying the journey.
This is sooo good. I have had the chipping yeps for years. Watched before lunch. Hit some chip during lunch and it felt amazing, so connected. Can't wait to practice this thought concept later today and and play and tomorrow.
OK, had a chance to work this concept over the weekend and I will say the results were pretty solid especially considering where I have been. While my on curse results were somewhat mixed (thinned one over the green) I definitely felt more confident with much of the panic removed. I am back today watching for a second time to see what nuances I may have overlooked.
Thank you Tig! This was a valuable lesson. JT is one of the best instructors I've seen on YT and I've watched a lot! His lessons are so simple and makes more sense. Loving the content! 🔥
One of the weakest part of my game are those short chips from off the green. I get so nervous I'm gonna blade it over the green, or chunk it and not even make the green. I think using the body and not the arms/hands will help. Gonna try what I saw here.
I cannot more strongly recommend you look up Dan grieve chipping lessons. He’s helped me tremendously. Rick shiels even had a lesson so u could get in contact with him

Honestly the tips here have finally given me the chipping control and confidence I have been looking for. Great communication. Thank you

JT is just one of those guys that you gotta love. such a likeable guy
Finally Micha building the short game. Nice to see the grind man
Great instructional vid! Thanks for the content.
Love seeing JT again, dude is awesome
JT Thomas is a wizard! Bring more content with him!

This has been a great chipping lesson super simple and effective thanks

I absolutely love JT!! I hit subscribe because i love watching him so much!
JT, I used this method to pitch in from about 15 yards off the green today. Thanks for the video!
Great video ! Thank ya
Amazing. Great to have actual educational content mixed in with the entertainment. Super cool big M!
Watched the video yesterday and today was a magical practice session…. Chipped in 6 times and the consistency was like never before😊.. Fantastic video ! Thank You❤

It helped me immediately. Thx a lot!
Really nice to see Micah get a good coach. This guy is spot on with his instruction.
great lesson tig
Dam this is a super helpful video! Love the simple explanations

JT is the man great video
Helps to know other low handicappers struggle with chipping from time to time. Thanks for the video.
Great lesson , thanks JT ❤
Good stuff. Keep the videos coming.
Very enlightening to me.. JT is definitely teaching me something just by watching...
Very informative. Can’t wait to put this into my practice.
This technique is a cheat code. Just worked on it for 15 minutes in my garage hitting bay and it absolutely works. Will put a lot of practice in with this approach. Thanks Micah and J.T.!
This is one of the best chipping videos out there. Nice job 👍
So knowledgeable video, thanks

This was awesome Micah! I practiced in the yard and the feel is amazing.
Great vid!!
Top top coach I’ve seen. He gets it. Self talk players are great coaches. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank you. that was awesome info. ❤🎉
Great control tips
this is "by God" and hands down THE BEST chipping lesson I have seen on line!!!! Thanks @Micah for sharing!!!!!
Good video. I’d recommend Dan grieve as a supplement to this video. Goes more in depth into how to hit different shots around the green and is a very clear instructor.
I will definitely practice this drill!
As someone who hits the ball far too, this was extremely helpful. The first lesson is exactly my problem. Putting that club too far forward. Most of my misses are long.
Listen to 13:48 til 14:13 whilst your eyes closed
Love the JT videos
great lesson Jt.. does anyone know where this was filmed in Fla..?
Oh yeah man that's a great chipping tutorial!!!
Great video!! 💪🏻💪🏻⛳️🏌🏼♂️😎
I am trying this tomorrow!!
Very good video bro!
More more JT 👍

Copping this for Tuesday golf
JT you are the man
Love JT man, let’s get Micah to 500k boyz💪

Bro, the first person I would go to is Wesley Soft Mits Bryan.
Fantastic, I almost gave myself the yips a few months ago. This video has turned it around
At 13:50 When Micah turns to the camera with a look of pleasure at having something make sense and work, it demonstrates how much he is enjoying the journey.
Fantastic video! Would love to see you take him for an on course play! Would be epic
Best mechanical advice I’ve seen so far. Had to stop the video half way to see if it helps. Totally different feeling! Thanks JT!
Great video, but nothing was mentioned about ball positioning or what club is best!
Excellent technique, this should help everyone watching. “By George he’s got it”.
VIDEO IDEA: Record yourself playing 9 or 18 holes no commentary just pure golf sound! Would love to hear you pure that 2 iron
Taco Golf did that very well. One has music, in that video there is a link without the music.
I chip like a muppett........ cant wait to try these drills
Just damn fine instruction. Thanks

These tips have really helped my chipping but you know what would really take my game over the top is that taylormade bag 😉
This had to make practicing short-game so much more fun
JT’s rocking the Rickie Fowler blades? Respect
Thank you Tig! This was a valuable lesson. JT is one of the best instructors I've seen on YT and I've watched a lot! His lessons are so simple and makes more sense. Loving the content! 🔥
What club were you using, Micah?
Does this arm unloading apply to all swings/shots? Is that for example why I push my drives? I tend to unlock the lead arm pretty hard I think.
One of the weakest part of my game are those short chips from off the green. I get so nervous I'm gonna blade it over the green, or chunk it and not even make the green. I think using the body and not the arms/hands will help. Gonna try what I saw here.
Dead hands. Literally a game changer when you learn it. Works for every shot pretty much inside 100, just club selection like he said.
Love JT
The soundtrack at the beginning makes me think I’m watching PBS as a kid lol
What degree wedge was Micah using?
what club is ideal for these chips?
What clubs were you using ?
"The one and only"?? 🤣 Nobody's ever heard of this dude before!!
What club are you using? 60 degree?
Where was this filmed?
How can I get a lesson from JT? This dude is THE guy
This seems like the fundamentals that would be helpful with full swings as well
This works for real
Very nice
W tips from JT ngl
Dan Grieve's three releases completely changed my short game. Highly recommend checking that out!
What club were you hitting?
Is that a mustached Scharff?
I cannot more strongly recommend you look up Dan grieve chipping lessons. He’s helped me tremendously. Rick shiels even had a lesson so u could get in contact with him
This stuff is gold. Thanks Micah. Man you’re going to another level with your new short game
“ … then you start to have weird thoughts.” Amen.
