    But Tifo's pick is the Ethiopian Defensive Midfielder playing in Uzbekistan Zala Abiombe

    • @Burpingtogheter
      @Burpingtogheter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +265

      He might need some time to adapt to the premier league, but his 2.4 aerial duels won per game show that he would be capable of playing in the team's defence in the future

    • @Rollerbear712
      @Rollerbear712 4 ปีที่แล้ว +102

      m8 he's not screening material in any sense. He's played in the right of a back 3, on the left of a double pivot, and occasionally used as a tall fullback. The Uzbekistani Promier Lagi 1 is home to tall midfielders but short attackers. You can see that his aerial duel win percentage dropped to 10% when he was used as a central midfielder. He has notable stamina, good strength (although not to keep the ball) and has the ability to carry the ball forwards, but City have Gundogan. He's the captain of Athroticas Deportivi Ambla Babala CSF and a one-club man thus obviously a fan favorite despite being overrated and probably overpriced, especially for a rotational player. If he's coming to the Prem, the only realistic destination would be Arsenal.

    Hate to say it as a West Ham fan but despite the analytics community's aversion to him, Declan Rice would be pretty good in that DM role.
    He's imposing, deceptively quick, can carry the ball out himself, has an elite passing range when compared to those that play in his position and has bags of experience and leadership skills too.
    Though statistically I agree that he doesn't jump out as a name to remember, watching his game-by-game development since his first involvement at centre-half tells a different story. He has taken two role changes in his stride while developing his abilities remarkably quickly along that journey.
    West Ham fans would disagree with me here but there are games where his influence fades and that wouldn't be tolerated at Man City... But he's responded well to the questions asked of him thus far in his career and I'd back him to do the same wherever he does end up next.

    I think for the most part city has great players that are yet to hit their prime. In that respect, I agree with most of the options said in the video. Erling Haaland would be a great signing, also his dad played for the club. Imagine De Bruyne curling balls into a striker with the speed, athletism, and height of Haaland. For midfield, City currently has an option in yangel Herrara whos good but hasn't impressed as others have in the last few years. Douglas Luiz is another option city still have a buy-back clause on him with increments each year rising to 45 million. The attacking midfield is a hard position to replace with De Bruyne producing the stats that he is and not relying on his pace, he could hopefully play for another few years. Bernardo and Gundogan have shouldered the attacking duties in his absence.
