I don’t want to be mean but honestly it seems like Demi is just obnoxiously jealous of Taylor. The fact that she keeps Taylor’s name in her mouth yet Taylor hasn’t mentioned Demi in years. Also the comments Demi made about Taylors body saying it’s unrealistic. Taylor revealed in her miss Americana documentary that she was heavily struggling with an eating disorder during the 1989 era. (when those comments by Demi were said) Demi should know better then anyone else that you never know what someone else is going through. And commenting on someone else’s body especially in such a blatantly negative way is never okay. Telling Taylor that her body type is unrealistic, imagine how Demi would’ve reacted if someone said that to her. Also isn’t Demi publicly supporting Kim during her takedown of Taylor Demi supporting the takedown of another woman? Just like she previously criticized Taylor of doing. Demi’s a hypocrite.

I think, Demi is seriously jealous of Taylor. There is absolutely nothing wrong with how Taylor uses her breakups to write her songs. Music writers and poets gets inspiration from emotions and one of the strongest emotion is pain from a broken heart, so it is normal that Taylor gets inspired to write songs after a break up, that being said, I do hope that she finally finds a man that she will be with for the rest of their lives.
She has been with the same guy for 6 years and has written so many happy songs and 2 whole albums based on fictional characters and their lives and some really deep songs about mental health and growing up but people choose to paint her out as a crazy over emotional woman who just writes breakup songs :/

Honestly, it's really upsetting hearing about Demi's attitude over the past years. When I was younger, I heard about her story and struggle with eating disorders and then followed her throughout her struggle with her drug addiction. She became a huge idol for me, and I looked up to her a lot because I could relate. I still respect and commend her for her journey and look up to her for it, but it just feels like she consistently puts herself first and everyone around her second. Honestly, I just hope that if she isn't currently , she does get help for her mental health. She's come a long way, but she still has a long journey ahead of her.
Edit: By saying she was my idol growing up, I'm saying that as a kid, I looked up to her. I'm grown now, and I see her mistakes. Clearly, my opinion and how I look at her is different now.
ive been both severely anorexic and way overweight. both EDs, for about 15y now, im in treatment fir 3 mental disorders (not severe but still) and im still not a complete douchebag to ppl and blaming it on that. she just has a horrendous attitude and massive ego, point blank. Like I said, I looked up to her because I can relate. I've been through similar things and that's just not an excuse. Your mental health and trauma is not an excuse to behave shitty. I am someone who likes Taylor Swift and I do think Demi gets mad for no reason I do believe she is jealous but Demi is famous herself don't hate other women instead keep doing what you're doing you the person in power so take hold of it. That being said I can see how sometimes Taylor's songs can hurt I get it relationships are complicated but idk if always writing or mostly writing about it is the best.
Every song writer writes about their life experiences including romance. I don't know why people are so stuck on that.

Demi and the Jonas Brothers are not longer friends nor closed, Demi and Nick were having kind of a thing, since she wrote "Ruin the friendship" about them both when they used to tour together, but things went south after the od she had happened and Demi stopped talking to anyone who made comments about it to the media, including Iggy Azalea who she was really close with. Anyhow, Nick really did dodged a bullet.

I've always wanted to like Demi and I even was close to stanning her years and years ago, but then she started her one-sided feud with Taylor (and making comments about things that weren't really her problem) and I decided I was better off without that kind of negativity. And it's so annoying, because she's crazy talented and has amazing songs like Skyscraper, Cool For The Summer, My Love's Like a Star, Two Worlds Collide, Anyone 🥺
In my opinion, her problem with Taylor is not about feminism - it's because she doesn't like her and that's it. I didn't see her supporting Taylor back when Tay was fighting against that ridiculous lawsuit by that man who GROPED her. I didn't see her defending Taylor against those sexist comments: she was actually part of the narrative.
She went and gave her support to Scooter after HE bought Taylor's catalogue without her knowledge and then she didn't say a thing when it was revealed Taylor never lied about the phone call with Kanye, because the real and full phone call was leaked.
I think it all started because Selena became really close with Taylor and she was jealous - which isn't a bad thing, jealousy is a common feeling, you just shouldn't let it dominate you. - and that's why everything Taylor does is wrong in her eyes.
The only thing I'll give Demi is that she was right about the a*s kissing in Taylor's "squad". Many of those "friends" didn't stand by Taylor back in 2016. Not even Karlie.
Her real friends from that squad turned out to be Selena, obvi, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Martha Hunt. ☺️

The Taylor Swift squad isn't really a thing anymore. Apparently, someone in the group was spilling private information about Taylor around, so she told each friend a different fake story and when one of the stories started spreading, she knew who it was. Then there was the whole Kanye, Kim, Taylor feud, and she basically hid from the public eye for a long time. Now the only person she really hangs out with from the squad is Selena, and she has posted things online with friends, like at her birthday party, but she isn't that public with them like she was with the squad, which I think is a good thing. I think very public Hollywood friendships don't really work well. Imagine every time you fought with a friend or became petty, it was shown to the world. Also, how can you ever know that someone actually wants to be your friend, and doesn't just want more publicity and fame. Anyways, the Demi and Taylor feud has been quiet for years, and we now know that Demi has gone through some terrible things due to the industry, and is getting past them, and Taylor has improved her friend circle. There's no reason the internet should keep this feud alive when they have clearly moved on.

Everyone of them has done those types of songs or rap about it. The only difference is some of them will add curse words and others won’t depending on the genre.

I'm glad this whole thing is from that looks of it over because it would just be rinse and repeat for years, Taylor doing something, that something would annoy Demi enough that should would go take her frustrations to the press or social media, Taylor would never respond and the cycle would just continue for years. "The squad" hasn't been a thing since late 2016, in the sense that they don't go to award shows together anymore and Taylor lives a very private life now but she's still either friends or on good terms with not all but most of them, so idk I just think the squad discourse was always rather overblown. Sure this was all petty behaviour if we look at it from the outside, but we must not forget that Demi has struggled a lot due to drug addiction and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Although this doesn’t redeem her from the consequences of her actions, it gives us a better understanding of the situation. And looking at the events we see a young girl, probably already struggling on her own, who experienced the hurt of seeing her childhood friend become closer and closer with someone else and the feelings got so strong that the hurt turned in resentment towards everything Taylor represented, keeping in mind that maybe she really didn’t know how to to deal with those feelings and at the time there were other events that pushed her to the edge.
Now we see it all amplified because they are all in the spotlight. I hope Demi steps out of it for a while, just to reset a little.
