after three or four years of trying, sending a new version of my game every year (Toziuha Night) I finally appeared in a godot showcase, that made me very happy, thank you Godot Engine :3 And the other games are looking better and better, I have put several on wishlist! I'm very happy to appear in the video and be part of the Godot engine community.
Immediately paused the video to go wishlist this. Love me a good Metroidvania, and this one looks like it's taking some inspiration from OoE, one of my favorites. Good luck!
@@saveborg1091They just take time to learn. DAWs aren’t the hardest part of composition. That said, I’d like to know what power composer is. There doesn’t seem to be anything about it on TH-cam.
@@saveborg1091 The capabilities of Power Composer are much less than that of a full DAW but it uses the lack of features to streamline the workflow for MIDI editing (meaning drawing notes on a grid instead of working with audio files.) The simplified interface and included instruments will hopefully make the program overall approachable for musicians of any skill level.
Really need some good built in way to handle IK, it's such a basic and expected functionality in most 3D game now a days to make things like slopes or stairs look more natural in 3rd person. But your only choice with Godot is "write it yourself".
@@Geskawary234 you don't need Unreal like lighting to make a great looking game. its all about aesthetics and less about tech. looks at all the current AAA games with super realistic visuals but shallow and boring gameplay. I would buy a fun game with visuals from the 90's rather then boring game with next gen visuals.
@@Geskawary234i think it isn't sucks, just godot doesn't give a complete lighting system as default like unreal does, but with work you can make lighting similar to unreal engine. Except ss reflection, because that is really sucks from godot3, but it will remade in godot4 maybe soon.
This is giving me some big appreciation for this engine, it's not like 'oh hey uh we can do photorealism' it's more like 'we can do what these games needed us to do'. Also now i have to check out that pixel dinsosaur game...
I've been looking for a combat racing game with power ups like some of the old ones on the PS2 / Xbox and IMMEDIATELY wishlisted your game when I saw it. Would be a total blast to play with friends, really looking forward to it!!
@@soyunbonus I don't think the average StS player would care about the art since even the first game isn't exactly a major advancement in graphics, the gameplay will be expanded as seen in the trailer and I'm very excited to see what they do besides the first game isn't going anywhere
I mean, it's a roguelike game. It's popular because it has a unique idea and fun gameplay loop. That's kinda the most important part of a roguelike game.

Unity has showreels every year since like forever. Unreal uploaded a student showreel three months ago. You don't have to compare with other engines. Can't we just celebrate what people have made instead of trying to one up this or that engine? Just make games. That's all it should be about
@@ultimaxkom8728 Well you _can_ have fun and be creative _while_ making it, but you *don't* get to have a say on _wether you can keep it_ in the end. Or even before finishing it, ToS and EULAs can kick you overnight, you have almost no power except basic customer rights. I don't think you'll have much fun then. That's the "can still be fun *without corporate bs* " part I'm talking about. No one can take away Godot from you.

Godot is an underrated game engine, it has high potential. If it is used correctly, it can make games which will seem like it was made in unreal engine.
@stickguy9109 If I remember correctly, there was a testing shooter game which actually looked like that it was made in unreal engine but it was made in godot
@@ferdinandkasangati5089 tried to force all the devs to pay per game install on every PC if they used Unity to develop their game. This included all the gamers that bought the game, imagine being charged for millions of times for some games and it is every time they installed even if they deleted and installed the game again. I think they backed out of that shitty decision though but the damage was done and now almost no game dev uses Unity.

I didn't know that Parking Garage Rally Circuit was made in Godot! That's awesome! Also, I wanted to add another of the games to my wishlist … Turned out it already was on my wishlist. Im very much a beginner, but im proud to be using godot. Did my first game jam (my first game!!) this year, and it was in Godot. Slowly working on a small little party game, the sort I'd love to play with friends. Godot is great.
This is stunning. Seeing Godot's potential delivered with such brilliant ideas and amazing graphics empowers anyone who's currently investing and believing in this tool. Thank you all. Our game about mental health “On Constant Delay” didn't make it to the video (it's our first game in Godot) but we're so happy that it won the Mental Health Game Dev Champions this year. To have done so by taking part in this beautiful community makes it all the more special.
Someday I hope Godot can be used as a full stack software development engine as well. I wish there were tutorials on how to make software like all the react tutorials.
OMG I so so much needed something like Block Coding, that was in part reason I was trying some simpler game engines before going all out on Godot, this is fantastic

Godot is a good engine, but it pisses me off that any game made on it can be decompiled in 1 click. And also that they openly support lgbt
