    after three or four years of trying, sending a new version of my game every year (Toziuha Night) I finally appeared in a godot showcase, that made me very happy, thank you Godot Engine :3 And the other games are looking better and better, I have put several on wishlist! Unity has showreels every year since like forever. Unreal uploaded a student showreel three months ago. You don't have to compare with other engines. Can't we just celebrate what people have made instead of trying to one up this or that engine? Just make games. That's all it should be about

    • @ultimaxkom8728
      @ultimaxkom8728 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ultimaxkom8728 Well you _can_ have fun and be creative _while_ making it, but you *don't* get to have a say on _wether you can keep it_ in the end. Or even before finishing it, ToS and EULAs can kick you overnight, you have almost no power except basic customer rights. I don't think you'll have much fun then.

    I didn't know that Parking Garage Rally Circuit was made in Godot! That's awesome!
    Also, I wanted to add another of the games to my wishlist … Turned out it already was on my wishlist. I am too active on Reddit, I suppose. 😅
    Great showreel, great games, great engine, great people behind everything! A pleasure to be part of it! 😘👍

    Despite being an Unreal user for more than 10 years, I really appreciate the approach of Godot team and the way how engine looks and progress. Amazing job from all the devs. Merry Christmas

    Someday I hope Godot can be used as a full stack software development engine as well. I wish there were tutorials on how to make software like all the react tutorials.

    Wohoo, what an honor to open this amazing showcase! So many cool games around, some from our friends, but also some i've never seen before. Artic Eggs looks amazingly wild, and coincidentally i just got The Rise of the Golden Idol yesterday and sunk quite some hours into that. In any case it is fantastic to see what is made with Godot, and how each year gets progressively more impressive.
    So, thank you for everyone making Godot a thing

    Im very much a beginner, but im proud to be using godot. Did my first game jam (my first game!!) this year, and it was in Godot. Slowly working on a small little party game, the sort I'd love to play with friends. Godot is great.

    It is crazy what open source can achieve. Godot is without a doubt my favorite Game Engine out there. If I get a game done soon, I will donate on a monthly basis!
    This project really deserves it ❤
