Small fenders hooked to the spindles would look cool so the fronts turn with the tires. Maybe cut designs in the rims and match it to ur truck. Awesome work 2 thumbs up!!

lol. i dont have any kids to push around in it though. just giving my take on it. i build steering components for drift cars so this kind of interested me. the way i described it is similar to the way a Nissan S chassi or Toyota Corolla works. ether way. enjoy your project and im sure your kids will adore it. :)
there is enough room for the square tubbing under it. if you work at it you can make the steering linkage fit and not hand any lower than that. you would need to make the steering behind the "axle" instead of in front. you could probably just switch your spindles from left to right so you dont need to redesign them and that will put the steering arms from them on the back side. then if you fit the steering under the wagon it could come up and attach.

For fenders go to a muffler shop and ask if they have scrap muffler bent pieces that you can make fenders out of then you can make running board's
