  • Custom Radio Super Wagon. Here' is my latest project that I built for my kids. A rat rod inspired vintage wagon build. I wanted to do something that was in the style, but my own. This took quite a bit longer than I originally thought. Instead of the 2-3 hours I initially thought, it turned into 25-30 hours of work. This video is a summary of all the work done.

    I really like the way you dropped the front end and it was adjustable to whatever height you decided to weld it at. That was very clever IMO. And the way you redid the handle was about as close to stock looking as it could easily be done. A new paint job with flames would really be cool too. Everyone knows flames will make it go faster. 😉 Maybe you better wait until the kids are older.

    Cool! That's a keeper. Take a good picture with your kids in it and your kids will be taking another picture with their kids in it in 20-30 years. and so on and so on and so on.

      Precision Machine Shed that’s a lot of work ; but I know how you feel when your kids enjoy that nice wagon 😎

    My first reaction was, what in the world is he doing to that nice wagon. Your kids will love that wagon for years to come. You better get a patent on it before someone across the pond starts mass producing them. Great job, and fun video to watch.......Ken, Marina CA

      Thanks Ken, not sure I'm going to patent it, but I do like the look. There are a bunch of other custom wagon builds online, this is just how I wanted it done.

      It was work, but it was fun to see how excited my son was when he saw it!

      Oh I'm sure. They looked really happy when the RC was pulling them. Wish my baby was that age again. They grow up way too fast. Enjoy them every minute. I spent way too much time working instead of playing with my kids.

      I'm fairly fortunate to be able to spend more time with them than the average working guy at this point in my life. They can be a huge PITA sometimes, but wouldn't trade it for anything!

    Cool and fun!
    Next step will be when the kids get a bit older to mount an engine to that rat rod.
    Start with an electrical motor and a few years later step up to a gasoline engine.
    Then the real fun begins... ;D

      Maybe an electric motor, but then I'll just build a go-kart.

    Where's your guard on your angle grinder???? In the box like mine???

    • @precisionmachineshed
      @precisionmachineshed  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I still have it somewhere. I have been using this grinder with flap wheels and they don't fit under the guard. Guess I need to buy another or two....

      @precisionmachineshed  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can weld, just not too good with Harbor freight junk. I also cut out too much material when I cut it so that didn't help.

    Hi mate. Sorry, but I can't help it thinking that you have ruined a nice antique cart. but I must be the only one.

    • @precisionmachineshed
      @precisionmachineshed  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand that thought! These wagons are fairly numerous and not worth a whole lot $$ wise. I paid $15 for this one and passed on a similar Radio Flyer cause I committed to this one first. If it was something rare or unique I was usually don't mess with them.
