In this video where we'll be taking a closer look at the DJI OM6 gimbal after 6 months of use. If you're considering buying this gimbal, be sure to watch this video first as we'll be discussing both the pros and cons of this device.
Let's start with the cons. One of the major concerns with the DJI OM6 is the limited tilt range. This can be a problem if you need to shoot from different angles or want to capture more creative shots. Additionally, the small payload limit may be a downside if you plan on using heavier camera setups. Despite these limitations, there are also several positives to the DJI OM6. The setup process is great, making it easy for beginners to get started. The magnets make it easy to attach and detach your phone or camera, and the overall ease of use is excellent.

I have an iphone 15 pro max, should i disable the enhanced stabilization? And also what about the action mode low light? Should it be off or on?

i've just ordered my osmo mobile 6 because my zhiyun smooth q gimbal battery is now failing sadly. it was a tough choice between the se and the 6 but if felt the 6 had some features that i could use.

Does the magnetic clasp attach directly to the magsafe back of the iphone 14pro?
If it does, I wouldn't have to worrk about the clasp. If it doesn't, then I would have to remove my case for ever OM use..which is no good.
No it doesn‘t the clamp is just clamped onto the phone, has no magnetic connection to the iPhone
My friend i always use thin cases and goes perfectly with the gimbal,not all cases thick like yours!

My case fits as well, in fact the 360 rotation ring type gives me the accurate location to clamp the mobile right in the center.
I have SS Galaxy S22 Ultra. I like to use .6 ultra wide for most of my videos. Does the latest Mimo software have ultra wide function?

I just bought late in the game,, using it with samsung s21 ultra, it still has the external hard drive.. and that 100 x zoom, not bad considering the s24 is out now

About the payload problem and not being able to use heavy accessories, you’re using it wrong. You should use a counter weight to help the Osmo 6 balance everything out. You’ll find some counter weights to buy and use it with the provided “hole” the Osmo 6 has in its body to screw counter weights in it.
I have tried it with the counter weights, has not been a great workflow for me.. But it's just my opinion

To tilt better operate upside down. It works great.
I don’t use a case so the OM6 works good. I like to have it at full charge and it can handle the DJI Mic attached. Great review.

Is this small enough to fit in pocket to film at festivals where people bump into you and ruin every handheld shot you take? Also is there smaller stabilizers? just need horizontal mode and good stabilization and I like the extension on this one too to get phone high enough so no one can ruin the shot in front of me.

I agree totally... Been using it for around 5-6 months also. Overall I really love it to bring OM6 on my trip. It's very convenient and works well. One thing about the limited tilt range though....you could use the extension pole and adjust the angle a bit to help with the tilting. For the clamp, I tried using it with Rhino Shield NS before for my Japan trip and it works well. The phone did not drop a single time during my 10 day trip so I think you will be fine with bigger case.

Just bought and used the OM6 for a live stream expecting the est battery life - lasted exactly 2hr and 39 mins with 14pro Max - had I known this beforehand (expected maybe 5hrs coz a lil heavy) I would have made a dash for the bigger cousins - not bad for PNS situations but will be looking into the Smooth and Scorp mini.

I agree on all the negatives except for the extension, which I like. The only reason I kept mine is for travel as it's compact and light enough to carry easily. For more dedicated work I prefer the Zhiyun Smooth 5S.

A similar deep review from an Android user would be nice. The DJI Mimo software is kinda limited on Android OS, but it looks like everyone uses iPhone...

Great piece of kit id dabbling into video making in my opinion
Why does no one mention the fact that the DJI OM3, 4, 5 and 6 all have a jitter and you can only use them with phones with really good electronic or optical video stabilization. This is not a stable phone gimbal and no one is saying anything.
I just sold mine because my A52 has awesome video quality but no IS in 4k.
TH-cam reviewers just lost my trust.
I have OSMO Mobile 6. I have a Samsung s22 and don't like it, because do not work with Samsung many functions.

Miy Dji Mic kept making the phone fall to the side. Said unbalanced. Motor is week. And Battery life is horrible. I stick to my osmos 4
Yea, the DJI gimbals are not really meant to be used with any kind of mics unfortunately

Eu tinha uns 4.4gb de memória livre, estava filmando mais de 10 minutos em 4k e acabou a memória, e o aplicativo em vez de salvar meu vídeo, simplesmente apagou tudo que tinha gravado, isso é um absurdo, inaceitável, qualquer câmera de celular salva o vídeo quando enche a memória. e outra diminuí o brilho da tela pra economizar bateria, e o aplicativo dji mimo, ficou normal, com o brilho quase no máximo, esses 2 pontos negativos ninguém fala, só quando as pessoas usam que se decepcionam, quando já é tarde demais, testar o om6 e deixar de falar isso pras pessoas é sacanagem.

Hey Julian. My friend uses an iPhone 14 pro max to record videos for his TH-cam channel. He tells me that his phone gave him the overheating warning a couple of times while shooting videos outdoors. It gets really hot in the summers here in India as well. Do you come across such issues and if yes what do you do?
I also have the same problem with the balance - I don't like removing my case and not being able to have add ons. The title range is also an issue for me. Interesting I thought I was just doing something wrong glad to know that others were having the same experience

I bought a zhiyun smooth 5s after hoping the on om5 was good but It just can’t handle certain shots and I always found it to shake. For practicality and size the OM series are good but I feel they lack motor strength.

@@ayyooKenny 100% love it if you want a decent phone gimbal for your phone you don’t mind a little few mins setting up and then shooting, does full 360’s. Osmo mobile 6 for like quick snap and film shots
This is a very fair and unbiased review. While gimbals are amazing pieces of technology, the fact that many gimbal makers think folks want to use a naked smartphone without filters and lenses shows a lack of imagination on their part. I tried the OM5 and personally found it just wasn’t up to my expectations.

@@sebastiannowakowski5084 more customisation mainly. the clipboard is a big one for me; the awkwardness of going into a particular app's setting in the actual settings and not through the app itself like on android; i also love my call screening on my pixel because i get a lot of dodgy calls almost daily, etc. Lastly, there's the aestethic as well - iphones look cheap and that notch makes me flaccid, dat some 2015 shite. don't get me started on the apple watches - they look like chinese casios from the 90s that you have to charge twice a day. I'm ok with their computers tho. but i get it; if the IQ is lower, iphones definitely help.
It's a cheap device, for a smart phone. No professional will use a smart phone for the end product they will sell to a Client. They will use it for proofs. So you want to put a physical filter on your phone. Well if you need to you need to get a more expensive gimbol thing is cheap. What can you buy for £135. You couldn't even get a decent camera bag for that price. I think your review is complete ballocks mate.
