Papa Petherick has found all of the cool stuff out in the garden with that digger! Steve getting to hold the dog is kind of funny. I’m sure it would have been down that hole in a split second
You have to love Jack Russells always having to be involved in EVERYTHING. Mine is in my lap right now interfering with me watching this on my Ipad! Haha
Wow that’s such an interesting unearthing! You never know what you’ll discover. Thanks to Mick and his dexterity with that digger… genius. I hope you’ll leave the newly revealed steps uncovered Billy. We’ll see where the water comes from. Stan will have to find some old railings again too.
The entrance hall is going to be stunning ❤ can’t wait till the chandelier goes up! Really enjoyed the discovery of the steps. Your dad and Steve are a fabulous duo! 😍 big love to you all xx
as electrician i want to give some praise to simon for keeping the electrical boxes so clean i havent seen a clean one after plaster in like 8years normally they full off plaster our completly plastered over lol
The mark of an old school master of plastering. Simon takes his time to do the job right and does not "slap" and go. You can tell he has tought this to Yanis also.
If I would ever get to start life over, I would love to learn how to be a heavy machinery operator! Women are rarely attracted to this vocation, but I love watching it being done and thing I’d love it! Go Mick!
Finding the steps in the garden was a terrific addition to its features. I hope you can reintegrate the feature as it was or for something more modern.
Mick makes that machine dance! You should use the metal railing around the new well. You’ll need a water source for the greenhouse, so you should leave it accessible.
Wooden railing and balusters with a matching door to keep visitors from falling in the hole. It will be lovely. Are you ever going to revive the greenhouse? It’s amazing how much your dad has done to clear the garden. It was incredibly overgrown when you arrived. He gets a big thumbs up from me. What a wonderful father and grandfather you all have.
Mick is the hardest worker of the lot... I bet he has such fun each day just pottering about digging things up and getting on with whatever job he fancies.
Always anticipation of Mick’s next big discovery. I wouldn’t be surprised if Charlemagne showed up somewhere on convent grounds. Would be nice if you could replicate look of existing staircase in the small one to basement.
Jack Russell Dogs are very smart- all he wanted to do is help dig whatever you are digging for. A wonderful Discovery Mick- way to go Sir ! Catch you guys tomorrow. :D
Not a day goes by that I don't watch your videos. They are always so very interesting. Everyone is so creative and industrious and the renovations are beautiful. Simon I find very interesting and like his demeanor❤. Looking forward to many more of your videos.
Billy, love how you respect the integrity and period consistently as you bing this incredible building back. Loved the way your Father persisted getting that well dug out! You all are just an incredible Crew!👍😊
Well done guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💙💙💙💙💙 The Hallway is really coming together and I think you are right to add the oak balustrade especially as it is the Hallway!
Besides Mike being a master operator of the digger, he is a master treasure finder! Lovely to see Gwen….she is so beautiful! Steve’s little dog really got into the digging game! Simon and Yanis are doing a mighty fine job on the hallway! It looks great! Billy, as usual, your video is top notch! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
Mick just keeps making discoveries! Starting with the hidden room. Keep looking Mick there might be treasures at the convent. Great to see Steve and no Simon we aren’t tired of you and Yanis plastering.
Simon practices old world craftsmanship; plus mentoring Yanis shows that he is generous with his time and willing to pass on his skills. He cares about and should take pride in his work. Job well done. He's not even gone yet, but I'm missing him already. When's he coming back?
I can see that it was mainly small offcuts and shouldn't be much of a problem, but in the furture I don't suggest doubling the insulation if it has paper backing on the deeper layer left on it. The paper works as a form of vapor protection, less effectively than modern applications but still somewhat effective, and can cause moisture to build up between the layers and cause dampness in the further layer since it is unable to "breath." This can cause mold and mildew to build up later on. I am not saying rip the walls down and start over, but in the future I would suggest tearing the paper off the back of the deeper portion of insulation to allow proper airflow thus allowing any moisture to be dried out or adding the scrap pieces without backing in the deeper part of the wall then covered by the larger piece of insulation but without smashing the insulation because you want it fully expanded to allow the insulation to do its job properly. Sorry for the tangent, just something I noticed and thought I would share from my experience. Other then that geat works lads, that plaster job looks peak mate!

Thank you Billy, Mick, Rick Simon, and Yanis for always bringing such amazing content, inspiration, and joy to so many people! Take care, you're always in our prayers🙏
Gwen and Billy… Love the idea of an oak railing for the basement stairway! Another place to recycle the remaining bridge railing would be around those newly discovered exterior stairs. Also, you might be able to put in a submersible pump and have a free water source for the greenhouse. When is Michael going to do the greenhouse? Yah, I know…. right after the chapel ceiling🤣
@@PatrickConnolly-l7v Today, Billy said he is not going to use that metal railing, but rather is going to have the the carpenter build one out of oak since the theme in the room (mainly doors) is oak.
@@jennieaddison7847 Yes, Billy said that they used the bridge railing for the chateau basement steps…but he didn’t say they used it all. In fact if you’ll go to 17:45 on Michael’s bridge vlog.
