I was watching Sparks perform recently and thinking about their longevity but seeing this makes me realise although it’s a totally different style of music these guys are still making great music also having started at about the same time. This Town was released in 1974 and Chanson D’Amour was no.1 in the UK in 1975.
I love Manhattan Transfer, so glad to see them doing their gig, love it. Timeless. Change is always evident in our life, how we move forward will define us - Manhattan Transfer, keep singing - you make this world a better place.
I must be the only number one fan that believe that TMT has not reached their pinnacle of achievement,I will see them tonight from stage right of orchestra pit of Zankel music center at Skidmore college in Sarasota Springs,Ny
How 'bout that? I saw them at Skidmore in the early 70s. I think it was outside. They pulled a bigger audience than The Allman Brothers, who played there in, I think, '71 or '72. And they still had Duane then!
I believe Trist Curless has replaced the late, lamented Tim Hauser at Tim's request that the group continue on beyond him. I think Trist can do bass vocals, so just needs to rehearse with them as the blending of voices and learning of the back catalogue are not immediate.
Such artistry! Love this pianist!!
Isn't he superb!
@@promerops He just is!
Manhattan : my favorite vocalise group !!!!!!!!!!!!! just magic .
I love this song. And the way Manhattan Transfer sings it. 🙏 A nightingale sang in Barkley square is legendary as well.
Glad to see Cheryl back. That's my girl.

I Love this. Always have. What a gift to humanity. 🙏👊👍🌞
Love them since i was young, the sound is still unchanged and full of rythm and experience...will enjoy listening for hours!!❤
I am over the moon happy to see them continuing beyond the passing of Tim Hauser. They are my vocal heroes!!!
Rest peacefully, Tim Hauser. The Transfer is in good hand.

I agree. I think Trist is a good choice. Didn't Trist have some connection with them earlier; a little arranging, some composing?
+1
scommetto che al piano c'era mio padre...
Not real! Covered by!
The new soloist is not the topic. Tim Hauser had style, could sing very low and velvet tone. The group lost its face. It's pathetic...
Лев Гуров - That's a bit harsh - give 'em a break !
Now...I have a very good sleep 😊
Can YOU sing better, than him?
@@davewollenberg1518 Оh my god damn, yes of course! I sing in the church choir! Like an angel!
