I noticed that the Lake Shore Limited remains one of the few Amtrak trains that uses only P42DC.
On most routes they either alternate with ALC-42 or are replaced completely by them.
I really don’t want them to become a thing of the past.
But alas! Nothing lasts forever in this world...

@@AndreyNikolsky2004 They were supposed to replace th P42s by November but they keep going! Recently the midwest Amtrak ALCs are breaking down in the cold.
