    Love my CSX, have over 800 miles on it just riding around the neighborhood. Have the 750 watt Befang mid-drive and this works great for this 77 year old, usually have it on pedal assist 1-3 and sometimes 4 for the hills. And with all the options Utah Trikes offers you can set it up just about any way you like. And it fits in the back of a Toyota Sienna van with the center seat of the second row removed and the rear wheel is just at the front of the second row seats.

    Gunna give y'all my 2 cents worth on this Kewl Sumbich ! I went with the Rear rack, fenders and roller bearing upgrade. Hunting in walk in only areas with this trike brings me great pleasure. I will be installing a Rohloff because of the Sprockett noise scaring wildlife. I should not have invested in the fenders. This is great fun and great exercise at the same time. Zero upper body fatigue and laid back indeed. This cutie pie gets a lot of attention

    The SunSeeker FatTad can drift around paved hair pen turns. The trike is easy on my back. Fits in the back of the truck. We have to lean it on the side to get the trike through the door. Going to make a few up grades later. When I have more miles under the tiers i'll share more. I Love it!

    Great breakdown of the trike and what available accessories are out there from Utah strikes. Nice to know that you can get into an 'entry level' off road trike for a reasonable price and upgrade as you get the cash.

    I got one of these in August last year and fitted it with a Tong Sheng mid drive and overvolted the motor and smoked it. Lesson learned. I will be fitting it with a CYC Photon in the next couple weeks and will also upgrade the steering head bearings and the Ackerman steering upgrade too. Love the trike but the front suspension is pretty clunky. Smooth surfaces good, rough ones, not so much😢. Blessings to all my fellow trikers❤😊

    Love my Fat Tad. I got it after an injury in Feb '22 and bought it to help my recovery. Love it and plan to get my special needs son one when he's older. Right now I pull him in a bike trailer behind my Fat Tad. I added the 1000W motor, head set, ackerman arms, rack with fender, aluminum idler with longer chain, 26" rear tire with arm extensions, headlight and tail light, bags, and hydration bladder behind the seat. I just ordered a rear brake and dual brake lever for the front brakes. Love this machine.

    Sun entered the recumbent industry before 2007! The original EZ TAD (called the Sun EZ Tadpole) began life in 2005. The predecessor to the EZ-Tri Classic (introduced in 2008), the EZ-3 SX, was introduced around 2002.

    I am looking for a fat trike, that I can put a rear rack on, and a Burley style trailer hitch. And maybe those side mounts for handle bar bags. Plus, can you put a rear brake on that Fat Cat? I am looking for a commuter trike with fat tires for winter time use. I am unable to drive.

    I like the trike but, not the handlebars. Should be like a catrike. Is it called direct steering?
    I'm 5'4 can boom be cut? Last question is handlebars. Can the tilt back ?

    • @garyseckel295
      @garyseckel295 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Under-seat steering with upper arms vertical is most natural.
      Direct steering has arms extended both forward and outward. More tiring, with much more vibration.

    • @smallnuts2
      @smallnuts2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gary Seckel maybe. I haven't done a long distance ride. I test rode a catrike 559.
      To me the handlebars look like your arms will tire because you have nothing to rest your arms or forearms on. So your arms are halfway up the whole time. I feel they need arm rest built in into frame to rest arms like the catrike does.

    • @garyseckel295
      @garyseckel295 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@smallnuts2 I put wrist rests on my Hase brand trikes. They work. Upper arms are naturally vertical at rider's sides, with tiny push/pull movement to steer. No steering vibration from the road with under-seat steering. Swinging both extended, widely spaced arms sideways is tiring and totally unnatural. Indirect steering is both power steering AND it is vibration free!
