Great build Jabber, it has a pirates of Tortuga vibe.
I am not sure what Tortuga is, I am going to look that up! Thanks for the suggestion. 😂
This could genuinely be base-game, you're hella talented bro
Thanks Dominic!
Love it!! Getting some good ideas from your builds.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
damn bro's making an entire world here
Ayy great build, real waterworld vibes
Interesting insights into your thought processes watching the build progress "in action" like this. For me an important part of learning to do something is the "why" it's done that way and not just the "do it like this'. That goes a long way to helping me to understand the concepts and then how I might apply it somewhere else for a different build. The challenge of building in tiny confined spaces is one that I am coming quickly to love. My first tour at Starlight (in final detailing now) will show off some pieces I have done where I have condensed homes and the like down to bare minimum because they fit the vibe I am going for. Great work as always my friend. A really cool looking build!
I hope my intentions came across. I think the biggest issue with a lot of builds I see is that many look like they all came from the same person. By that I mean that there is a basic design philosophy that many seem to adhere to which is, put down a box (shack) and fill it with stuff. I try my hardest not to do that haha. You can only do that a couple of times and it becomes boring. Appreciate your kind words and following along. 🙏
Yea you can sometimes see a definite "signature" of a particular builder coming through in others' builds. I take ideas I see from a wide variety of builders (your good self included); and then rather than trying to copy that, I try to put my own spin on an idea so that my builds hopefully don't look too much like someone else's work. Keep up the great work my friend, and i think that this style of showing a little of your build process in action is a good approach going forward. But that's just my humble opinion.
Love this build! I get so much inspiration from watching your videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
Cool I remember another one but he’s only scraping everything not really interesting in Construction or restoration 🤷🏽🥺what a Cham because sow many interesting and cool locations with good ideas 💡
With only cleaning it’s looks batter than before but with some fix : reformed oh man I will feel like I got back in time or in oasis like new Vegas or London were you still have good and old life classic only some dirt and chaby but still it’s perfect!!!
And I will live there if I have a chance 😌🧐🤨😉👍✨
Yeah it's a little frustrating when people don't make the most of a location's potential.
if ur gonna add bathrooms, some of the houses are very small.. probably would be better to have communal bathrooms in such a small settlement, and a cool thing to do when youre over water and at a height is to have a precarious looking toilet block on an overhang with the toilets just having holes down to the water
one thing you could have done as an extra, is put some farm plots on the top of roofs, with other vegetation like moss or something.. and then in all the rocky nooks under the buildings where the low path is, you could have put wire fences around it with animals living there.. like small ones.. chickens, rabbits etc.. and put a bunch of seaweed all around the rocks
Great idea
Those extra snapping points from workshop rearranged can be a real pain sometimes. I can only imagine the amount of finagling done off screen.
Haha. A lot of finagling!!
this is great, man
I recently made some space in my hdd so I might be reinstalling fo4.. all these building videos are making me wanna go back so bad 😅
Do it!!!! 😄
18:51 theres a mod that lets you put down floating barrels... and various other things like floating bridges made of boats etc.. its cool.. wish i could remember which one it was... i used it when i was doing a water only playthru where i could only loot and scavenge in the rivers & sea & coast areas and on the islands etc.. if i ever find out which mod it was i will let you know
ps i wonder if theres a mod that lets you add seagulls? when i was in Mexico i noticed they love to sit on the top of wooden poles in the water
Ooooh, that might be good actually
@@JabberGames just had a quick look in nexus.. ive got a feeling its G2M and G2M fish farm stuff
what annoys me about some locations is they have radiation that doesnt go away even when u remove the barrels
24:05 what side do the settlers get on the bed? the problem ive found often is if you put beds too close to walls you will later find the settlers stood on the roof of the building and they cant go to bed...
If you skip time, often that'll fix the issue
i forgot how annoying it is to place things in f04.. i really hope they improve the building in f05.. even with place everywhere f04 is a complete nightmare to build.. its so much easier in 7 days to die with everything being blocks where u can only put a block in one block space.. although doesnt look as good maybe.. how come in fallout 4 it always wants to snap everywhere but where you want it to snap? like if you put a floor or roof down and then the wall always snaps the wrong way around or you have foundations and then instead of it snapping to go around the corner it instead goes straight again etc
if youre gonna call your settlement ROKK, you could instead name it RED ONE.. and make it really badly & with a Christmas theme
Since I started watching your channel, I realized I was trying to be too perfect in My builds. They were all boring to look at, with no visual appeal.
I find it useful to sketch out settlement layouts before I start. It helps create more unique layouts instead of coming up with it on the fly.
