Interestingly, in the 17th century, the Mongols were allies of the Manchus, and their alliance invaded and occupied all of China. The Mongols were friends of the Manchus and kind of second-class rulers throughout the Qing Dynasty, and the Han Chinese were actually the oppressed people. When Western invaders arrived in the late Qing Dynasty, Mongolian cavalry and Han soldiers fought together, leaving behind many famous heroic deeds. In the past, the Mongolian tribes were divided into three parts, namely today's Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and (Outer) Mongolia. When the Qing Dynasty fell, Outer Mongolia became independent with the support of the Soviet Union, and the Republic of China (now they have long retreated to Taiwan) recognized it. So the country Mongolia nowadays is actually just part of the whole Mongolia. I think Mongolian friends are not clear about these historical facts perhaps because of education and government propaganda. After all, the Mongolian government is very eager to draw a clear line with China, but in fact the Mongolian population in China (they mainly live in autonomous regions or provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Liaoning) has reached about 5.8 million, while the total population of Mongolia is only about 3.3 million. Also there are a few Mongolian people in Russia. They share the same cultural foundation. What’s more interesting is that the Mongolian language used by the Mongolians in China is written in traditional Mongolian letters, while the Mongolian language in Mongolia is spelled in Cyrillic letters.
After the Manchus conquered Beijing, they allied with the mongols after subduing them, then continued to conquer the rest of what was left of the Ming.
It was Mongolia who invaded China that created Yuan Dynasty. And it was Manchu who invaded Mongolia and China that created Qing Dynasty. Han Chinese never sought dominance nor invade Mongolian and Manchu land historically.
It was not China that colonized Mongolia for 200 years, it was Manchuria (Qing Dynasty) which colonized China and Mongolia for over 200 years. But during Qing Dynasty, Mongolians were ruling class, enjoying a much higher social status / better treatment than Han people. That is why the banner by the founding fathers of the Republic of China ( ROC ) was : " to drive away the Manchu invaders, restore the Chinese sovereignty, ......"

The Mongolian government had actually abandoned their own traditional writing system in favor of a Latinic system while in China, traditional Mongolian writing system has been well preserved among the ethnic Mongolian communities.
This is not entirely correct. In order to consolidate their rule, the Manchu upper class intermarried with the Mongols and used the Mongolian nobles to rule all Mongolians. In order to rule the Han people, they also favored the Han nobles and landlords in various parts of China, and used the Han nobles and landlords to rule ordinary Han people. The ones who suffered were ordinary Mongolian and Han civilians, as well as other ethnic minorities. This was a common tactic used by feudal regimes

Some interviewed above mentioned being ruled by China but never mentioned that they, the Mongols also ruled China in the past. Mongolia and China has a long history that is intertwined.
As far as I understand East Asia history, wasn't Mongolian Empire invad East Asia, central Asia, West Asia and even Europe? Wasn't Mongolian tribes invaded and harassed the Chinese so they had to build great wall to defend themselves? Or in Mongolia they are being taught different history? Just confused. But East Asian history in general fascinate me a lot.
Obviously, they have been told different version of history lol. When the world know Mongols were the invaders, yet they think they were the victims and proud of what their ancestors done.
Countries tend to hide their back history from young generations. They probably don't teach much of Mongolian empire's killings and instead presenting more Manchu rules to play victims. And most of the people don't even know Manchus are not Han Chinese.
History is a little girl who can be dressed up by anyone. As long as lies are repeated every day, people will believe them. If Mongolians want to hate China, let them do it. Anyway, the Chinese don't care what Mongolians think.
For those who feel hatred because of being oppressed by Manchu and Chinese in the past, i suggest they should find out how the Mongol had done badly to the places where they invaded during Mongol empire times. The Mongol empire’s troops didn’t spare civilian lives and had killed countless of innocent civilians. A town’s population can be reduced more than half once the Mongol arrived. I believe no empire in this world had killed so much people like the Mongol did.
Funny thing about this guy is he would only ask what Mongolians think about Russia and USA. But for the question on China, he would ask why people hate China instead of what people think of. He should also ask why Mongolians can't read/write in Mongolian script.

Especially the 3 million in Outer Mongolia can't even write in the traditional Mongolian script 😂, but they claim to uphold the true Mongolian tradition.
Out of all the interviews I've seen, this is the most reasonable one. They actually gave specific reasons (historical or cultural). In other videos, 95% of Mongolians that were interviewed could never explain why they hate Chinese people! It's almost like they were born to naturally hate Chinese people. From an outsider's perspective, it should be the Chinese that should hate the Mongolians, because the Mongols and their ancestors (the Xiongnus) have tried to invade China for almost 3,000 years, and succeeded once with Genghis/Kublai Khan.
Mongolians hate China because Chinese are easily hateable and it's socially encouraged. This can be due to a lot of reasons, but for Mongolians who take pride in their Empire, of course it tastes like shit if they were colonised by the Chinese.
In addition, most generations from the golden family (their family) currently live in inner mongolia which is in China🤣 This video makes me very confused as a mongolian having some direct link to those who ruled China in Yuan Dynasty. 😧

There is a misunderstanding, as the West often portrays, that Mongolians, Tibetans, Uyghurs, and others are considered foreigners in China. This is completely wrong-they are all Chinese. Not only Han Chinese are Chinese; we have 56 ethnic groups, and every one of them is Chinese. The goal of the 1911 Xinhai Revolution was to 'form a harmonious union among Han, Hui (Muslims in China, including Uyghurs), Mongolians, Manchus, and Tibetans.' This is why the national flag of the Republic of China was originally a five-color flag, until the Kuomintang changed it

From the perspective of Chinese history, we do not consider the Yuan and Qing dynasties as colonizers. Although they were outsiders, their use of our system and culture was an integration into us. China built the Great Wall to defend the Mongols in the past and even the Yuan Dynasty was founded by the Mongols on Chinese soil, so it really astonishes me how can Mongols think Mongolia was invaded by China?? On the contrary, most Han Chinese don't have a negative view of Mongols or rather they have a moderate view because of less exposure to Mongols in real life. We also have Mongol Chinese in Inner Mongolia, who is an ethinic minority but given preferential treatment, e.g. college entrance exam etc. I think media is to blame for the distorted impression.
The Mongols and Manchus are nomadic peoples. The Han nationality is an agricultural civilization. Their history is that of Mongols and Manchus invading the Han. But it was eventually conquered by Han culture. All 52 ethnic groups merge into the Chinese nation.
All the nations of East and Central Asia have been attacking and controlling each other since ancient times. So it's strange that currently someone feels hurt because of the past.
Very divided. Older generations generally like the Soviet Union (due to factories providing jobs and Soviet allies joining the Mongol military to protect the Mongol homeland against potential Japanese and Chinese occupation), have good/neutral sentiments about modern Russia (because of our people there) while the youth doesn't think much about Russia nor the Soviet Union. USA sentiments vary but Mongolia wants to work with USA just like China worked with the USA to become billionaires and millionaires. Mongolia views USA as a third neighbor with lots of avenues for trade and military cooperation. Thousands of Mongolians allied with the West to protect Afghanistan before, even gaining a reputation for being fierce and alert soldiers amongst their international soldiers and peers.
The fact is that Kublai Khan admitted that he was a Chinese dynasty, and only then did he have Yuan. And then led the Han Chinese to kill other Mongolians
Stop playing victims. People with brains can easily understand that China's attacks on the grasslands are a passive defense. The population that farmland can support is far greater than that of the grasslands. Who needs to invade each other more? Who has to raid and plunder when they are hungry? All grassland nations dream of ruling the Central Plains. The grassland nations, as long as they have the opportunity, will move their capitals to the heart of the Central Plains. The Han dynasty destroyed the Xiongnu, the Tang dynasty destroyed the Turks, the Northern Wei dynasty destroyed the Rouran, and the Ming dynasty destroyed the Yuan dynasty. Although China has eliminated grassland regimes many times, it has never been willing to move its capital to the grasslands. So, who covets whose land is already very clear.

If most Chinese is not trustworthy. No country in the world want to trade with them. But China is the largest trading partner for most countries in the world.
It's funny the Mongolians think that the Chinese dominated them for 200 years but they seem to forget that the Mongolians also dominated China for almost 200 years. Additionally, it wasn't the Chinese who dominated the Mongolians, it was Manchus. The Manchus and Mongols are related people. So much so that the Manchus adopted the Mongolian script to write their own language, both being Altaic languages, and they often inter married with Mongolians, and even their traditional costumes are very similar. So hating Manchus is like hating your cousin. As for modern history, the former Soviet Union killed and removed many pro China cultural leaders in Monglia who knew the truth so that their public would misunderstand and distance themselves from China. Lastly, China never forced the Mongolians to abandon their own script, it's still being taught and use today; unlike the Russians made the Mongolians to start using Cyrillic.

Seeing some of the malicious remarks from Mongolians in the comments section, I have to speak out.The Mongols destroyed the Southern Song Dynasty, and the emperors of the Yuan Dynasty condoned Mongol nobles and Semu people. Some Tibetan monks in Han territory engaged in corruption and extortion, emptying the wealth of the entire Southern Song Dynasty. Combined with various natural disasters and misguided governance, the land of the entire Southern Song Dynasty became a land of death during the decades of Mongol rule. The people of southern China harbored extreme hatred towards the Mongols. How do Mongols who clamor about the evil of the Han people in the comments section view this? At that time, the Mongol army slaughtered a million people in Sichuan in order to coerce the Song state to surrender. What do the Mongols think about this? Not to mention that the Mongols directly caused a discontinuation in Chinese history, leading to a great regression in civilization. How many Chinese people today seriously hold you accountable for this unprecedented loss? If you truly feel that we have wronged you, remember that historically it was you who repeatedly initiated aggression against the Chinese, and you have always taken pride in it, causing countless injuries to the Chinese, almost several times more than Japan. Yet how many Han people seriously hold onto past hatred, regarding you Mongols as true enemies? You yourselves allied with the Manchus for your own interests, wanting to jointly rule China like the Manchus did, thinking you could still be as glorious as before, but you were ultimately manipulated by Manchu emperors using Buddhism and Shanxi merchants, leading to a sharp decline in population and loss of combat capability. Aren't these all the evil consequences you brought upon yourselves? Did Han people force you to hand over Inner Mongolia to the Manchus so you could attack the Ming Dynasty smoothly? And don't you realize that your experiences in the late Qing Dynasty are almost identical to those of the Chinese throughout the entire Yuan Dynasty? It's truly ironic.

Let me explain this: to see where a country's, such as China or US, interests lie, one must observe where this country's money goes. Southeast Asia has more favorable weather, sufficient water supply, workable days year round, nearly 700 million people, it is where the Chinese money goes.It is now the No 1 trade partner of China, surpassing US and EU. This is how important South east Asia to China. Comparing to this, China probably only has a small fraction of money goes to Mongolia due to its mines, but those can be bought from somewhere else if there is no good deal. After all, Mongolia's total GDP is only comparable to the smallest district of my hometown city, where it has 10 districts and two counties, and my hometown ranks 20th or 19th in China.
Eventually, the weight of China's cultural and economic influence will absorb them and probably many of the surrounding countries....as in the past. Sigh westerners see China as a country, but everyone who is a neighbor to China see them as the fount of civilization in Asia. That's why nobody really mind them re-emerging, China has always been and will always be. The nearest comparison is if the Roman or Persian empires lasted to the present day.

China is a country of cultural tolerance. In history, Genghis Khan used to brutally exploit and oppress China. Here I would like to point out that the Manchus once ruled China, but in the early days of their conquest, they adopted cruel means of repression, but gradually, they managed China with the idea of governance, that is, they regarded China as their own territory and ruled it for the purpose of long-term governance, and they had a certain vision of development. However, during the reign of Genghis Khan, the Mongols were always treated by China as the object of exploitation. That is to say, during the Yuan Empire, the Mongols never regarded China as their own territory and people, they only ruthlessly exploited and robbed China, without considering how to govern it for a long time and make the local people live a stable life, so the Yuan Empire did not exist for a long time. But as time went by, the Chinese never hated the Mongols or the Manchus. Instead, we set aside hatred and prejudice to live in harmony with our people. But I know people in Mongolia are very biased and hateful towards Chinese people, I don't know why. From my personal point of view, it may be because the Mongols have conquered many countries and nations in history, so they are immersed in the past pride. As soon as others develop better than they do, their fragile self-esteem turns into jealousy and hatred, attempting to achieve the self-comforting effect of inner balance through psychological contempt for the other person.

In Qing Dynasty, the Mongolians had fared much better than the majority Han Chinese. Being of the same normadic tribes called Tartars in north Asia, the ruling Manchu treated Mongolian as first tier race while the poor majority agricultural Han Chinese were down at the bottom of the racial hierarchy.
This is ignorant nonsense, the Manchu and Mongolian ethnic groups are sworn enemies. The birth of Genghis Khan was due to the Manchu people raising Mongolians like livestock for hundreds of years, regularly killing Mongolians, controlling their numbers, and leading to Mongol uprisings. After the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, the Manchu people only started their old profession. Before the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, there were several million Mongolians, but after the end of the Qing Dynasty, only a few hundred thousand Mongolians remained. And the Han population has increased several times, and most of the Manchu people have also become Han themselves. It was the Han people who ended the Qing Dynasty and saved the Mongols, otherwise the Mongols would have gone extinct like the Native Americans

Are you kidding me about that? Without Manchuren , MOngolia would be take over by other nomades , Manurean people took over Mongolian region many times in the history .
The Great Wall of China, built by the ancient Chinese, was expanded over thousands of years to prevent invasions by northern nomadic peoples (Manchurians, Jurchens, Mongols, and Koreans). This means that the ancient Chinese perceived the peoples of Manchuria, Liaodong, and the Korean Peninsula as other ethnic groups, barbarians, and enemies. Of course, this means that ancient China had no control over this land until it was conquered by the peoples of Manchuria and Liaodong outside the Great Wall of China.

Though not Mongolian nationally, I am Buyat Mongol, and I think it is very stupid for anyone to be against China, especially Mongols. Most "Northern Chinese" are very likely genetically Mongol whether they like that or not, so being against them, is like being against your distant cousin. Manchus didn't "colonise" Mongolia, they conquered it and they held such honour and love for Chinghis that only Mongol and Manchu Princesses were allowed to marry the Qing Emperors and Nobility, until centuries later, they allowed Han Chinese to marry too. Many Mongol traditions were practiced by the Qing as well, they even held the Ger as their ceremony house when welcoming guests outside of a palace. Regardless, we should not be against Chinese, they are not like Europeans, who, if anyone bothered to study world history, were responsible for flooding the entire Qing Empire with narcotics to destroy it's vast wealth, cultural, technological and military power. They colonised most of the world and committed the worst genocides. Would you take such a pack of hyenas as a friend? or the dragon and the bear, who has already had their fill.
Mongolia's anti-China stance is politically correct. Caused by state guidance. We start with the Mongol Empire and see who hurt whom more. Today, they do not recognize the Qing Dynasty as a Chinese dynasty, but they use China's invasion of them during the Qing Dynasty as an excuse to hate China.
Genetic evidence indicates very little overlap between Han Chinese and Mongolian. Non-existent Mongol Y-DNA in the Han Chinese population, some Han Chinese have Mongol mitochondrial (maternal) DNA because during the Ming Dynasty, most of the Mongols got captured, and all Mongol women were forced to marry Han Chinese men, and Mongol men were legally forbidden from marrying Han Chinese women. Han Chinese have very homogeneous Y-chromosomal (paternal) DNA, regardless of North Chinese or Southern Chinese, so what you're saying is actually incorrect.
No offense, but the Mongol Empire invaded and conquered many countries. My country was also ruled by Mongolia. Korea was under Mongolian rule for 45 years and Korea's Jeju Special Self-Governing Province was under Mongolian rule for almost 100 years

Mongolia uses cyrillic script which is Russian, while Inner Mongolia still uses the traditional Mongolian writing system. Mongols were one of the many ethnic groups in China, they killed many people and took over to form the Yuan kingdom. After that they formed their own country, Mongolia.
Not really, although we dont use mongolian script as our official Language anymore, it is still taught in high school as a part of our curriculum to be able to read and write. And although the government has been trying to re introduce it as our official written language, due to almost 100 years of history of Cyrillic writing system in Mongolia, we cannot do it that in matter weeks or months or years. And no, inner Mongolians no longer uses the old Mongolian script, as it was abolished to adapt to only mandarin, and almost all books related to Mongolian history or Mongolian publications have been abolished. But due to censorship in your country I am not sure if u find the same sources.
No. Yuan dynasty (Mongolian overlords who owned Mongolia, China and Tibet) were assimilated into China. Hence China's ownership of both inner and outer Mongolia. The Soviet Union forced China to give up outer mongolia. Given their historic support for China's communist party, they really had no choice in the matter. Today, Mongolia is more like one of the central asia stans, heavy Soviet influence. Lately they have begun toying with US relations (Victoria Nuland visited). I hear the US NGOs are all over the place over there, probably readying a color revolution when the time comes. US is actively spreading anti-Chinese hate and hence why you have this video. From the historical perspective, Mongolian is one of nomadic tribes in the north of China, just like Turkish , Hungarian,Manchu etc, eventually they vanished in Chinese history book

Not half, the whole world. Europe was spared only because some peasants in Sichuan China killed the Mongolian Khan. The combined European army had just been wiped out by Mongolian cavalry but they turned back on hearing China killed their Khan.
The gold family in Inner Mongolia expressed dissatisfaction with the slaves in outer Mongolia.

Most Chinese think Mongolia is a neglectable country, it just too small, too insignificant. So whatever Mongolians think doesn;t matter at all.

In the history , Nomades invaded China TEN times more than China took over Mongolian region . We never say anything about it , becuase we understand that's the life style of nomades(Not only Mongolian tribes) . But, What's the Mongolian people claimed Manchuren invaded MOngol ? Are you kidding me about that? Without Manchuren , MOngolia would be take over by other nomades , Manurean people took over Mongolian region many times in the history .
他们就是恨自己弱小,加上一整个国家受教育程度太低。
The Great Wall of China, built by the ancient Chinese, was expanded over thousands of years to prevent invasions by northern nomadic peoples (Manchurians, Jurchens, Mongols, and Koreans).
This means that the ancient Chinese perceived the peoples of Manchuria, Liaodong, and the Korean Peninsula as other ethnic groups, barbarians, and enemies.
Of course, this means that ancient China had no control over this land until it was conquered by the peoples of Manchuria and Liaodong outside the Great Wall of China.
It's civil war of China! China is not belong to Han people only. It's belong to all race live in this land.
有没有一种可能,汉人在两千年前就出现了,蒙古人反而是几千年汉人逃往草原和游牧民混居的?匈奴是印欧游牧民族,不是东亚人种
Mongolia's anti-China stance is politically correct. Caused by state guidance. We start with the Mongol Empire and see who hurt whom more. Today, they do not recognize the Qing Dynasty as a Chinese dynasty, but they use China's invasion of them during the Qing Dynasty as an excuse to hate China.
Love you, bro.
From a Chinese.
actually mongolia government is not anti-china, many cooperation@@资拉拉

The great wall to prevent attacks from the Huns ,Huns and Mongolians are different group
The Huns finally move to the west Asia
@@leeyoyo948 The Great Wall was not built in one day or one century, the Chinese people of all dynasties did not face the same enemy. Different nomadic peoples lived on the same land for thousands of years, including the Huns, Rouran, Turks, Khitan, andMongols, Mongols were the last people to arrive in that land.
But I truly hope Mongolia take a look at the map and don't go the route of Ukraine, that way leads to destruction.
@@ZayaBatbaatar-xz4ed Not true that inner mongolia banned Mongol script or that mongolian publications abolished (you've been brainwashed). You can see at 4:48 in this travel log to inner mongolia. The shops have writing in both chinese and mongolian: th-cam.com/video/_QMCEUmBRWw/w-d-xo.html
