    I used an inch or so of plastic, flexible piping to hide the wire when doing this to my ‘17. Looks great.

    Such a beautiful and expensive bike. I seriously thought about getting one. I really wanted ohlins semi active. But I ended up getting the 2019 Honda cbr1000rr Sp1. And when I'm riding underneath my leathers I have on my "do you even wheelie!" shirt.

      Thanks man. Ya I almost bought the 2019 last year but the all black just didn’t fell like Aprilia’s style. Lol. So happy with the colors of this one. In person looks like flou red/orange and green!!

      Don’t like the Akra passenger peg mount. Graves mounts off the rearsets. Tail looks way cleaner.

      Not lowered. The red comes stock for the ohlins.

      I think with some clip ons and rearsets you’d be fine. Little smaller package is easier to throw around. Simple track setup is sub 400lbs

      Did it myself. Got a new tail light with inter grated blinkers. Then screwed the plate to plastic under the tail.

      So my 2016 has over 34,000 miles. Just broke a exhaust vavle spring that I fixed myself and got it running again last month. Other than that the reliability has been great!!!!! No problems what so ever besides oil changes and chains/sprockets and brake pads. Actually has never left me on side of highway!!!! Now my buddies Ducati 1299s has been nothing but problems for him. So I’m happy sticking with aprilia!!

    Frame sliders are nooooo bueno bro. They may save your fairings, bit in my time as a motorcycle salvage guy I cannot tell you how many bikes I saw with broken motor mounts on one side and a frame slider on the other side. Id rather fuck my plastics than the frame

      Depends upon the slider and the accident.
      Unfortunately some use brackets, spacers and weak points to save cutting a hole in fairings or use cheap spacers instead of machined nylon that will compress and deform, absorbing some of the impact force in the process.
      Besides, any accident that will rip a high tensile m8 bolt & nylon slider out or cause it to damage a frame is probably going to send your pride and joy to the breakers yard anyway.
      I'd rather not admit to how much 'ptactical' experience I have with R&G sliders!

    Hey bro I have the same bike. I was wondering where you got your domino handgrips? i bought a pair from Motomillion but the clutch side didn’t cover the APRC bracket. Much appreciate it!

      So I actually cut the inside of the grip with a razor blade so it would fit over and go all the on like factory.

      Use hair spray. It’ll help them slide on then when dry the next day they won’t ever move.

    First thing I did was ditch the factory pegs for a set of racing GiaMotos, silver black and titanium. Aprilia should make it illegal to fit anything other than😉

    how did you install the carbon front tank cover? I just got mine in but not sure what the heck to do once that front little bolt is out

      Not sure. Bike came with the carbon. But I’m sure u have to remove the rear tank bolts and actually lift it up little to get to bolts/clips underneath.

      I keep everything off. Track mode. And went + 2 teeth in rear sprocket. But stock gearing it still should wheelie no problem 2nd clutch up sitting down and little bounce in 3rd standing up.

    Im between a new 19 1100 & an 18 RF LE. Like the looks of the RF LE much more and its 3grand less. Not sure which to get. Would be happy with power of either bike so for me the real benefit of the 1100 is the updated chassis

      I would spend the extra few bucks and get the 19 1100. U can def tell a difference in how hard the motor pulls and the stiffer chassis. Also resale will be better I think.

      Not much noticeable diff. It changes the air fuel so the engine doesn’t run lean with a after market exhaust

      @@sivvinod3187 apart from the ever increasing MSRP from older generation motorcycles (the '14 R1 price was around 14k when it first launched), Indonesia also increased their import tax for luxury items back in 2015. The 2015 r1 costs around 75k when it first launched in Indonesia (compared to US MSRP is only around 16-17k). The 2020 r1m price is insane in Indonesia. The 2020 r1m will cost you around 100k. It is simply out of reach for now
