The easiest way to do this: 1) identify all the flowers, and 2) make sure you have all of them in each area before moving on. 147 before the ones around the tree, 350 before leaving the tree, etc.
It may be better to boost a lot less than I did or perhaps not at all. I've seen videos in which the players did exactly that and had more time left than I did. I don't think the routes being used were vastly superior. I just think boosting can cause missed items, after which a lot of wasteful backtracking is required.
Thanks to @swimminginoblivion5186 for reminding me about the little yellow dandelions around the stump and some other flowers that are hard to see in the last area before dropping down.

Thank you for this video, my mom has literally been trying to beat this level 100% since the day the game came out. I was even raised watching her try to beat it for hours every day. Eventually we wondered if it was even possible and I'm so glad to see it is and I can show this to my mom instead of having to either watch her continuously try and fail for the rest of our lives or crush her dreams. She hasn't beaten it yet but hopefully she will soon.

@ShadeSlugcat I wish her the best of luck! My basic strategy is in the description of this video. Also, she should be aware that several items count as 3 flowers.
These games can be very addictive! I tried this same level for 2 hours on a livestream last year. It's not always as easy as a single video of a successful run can make it seem.
