It was so swanky; I apologized to the Maitre D' for befouling their gorgeous restaurant with my Blue-Jeaned-and-Hawaiian-Shirted Tourist self. My first Cobb Salad. What really stood out to me, though, was the fact that I had noted, when making our reservations, 6 months prior, that my wife had food allergies; a gentleman from the kitchen came out to our table and knelt down next to her as they discussed what she would like and how different items could be prepared to accommodate. Needless to say, I love this place.

We love HBD, it's our go to place at HS, we eat there every trip - either the lounge or the restaurant. It has changed over the years. Back in the MGM days there was a lounge upstairs that overlooked the restaurant. It was the perfect place to go get a before dinner drink. They have changed the menu over the years as well, I miss that appetizer Cobb Salad and the small Cobb Salad they used to serve at lunch at the lounge. The entre is just too big for me to eat all my myself. If I'm eating inside I like to try different things every time, we have never been disappointed there. I always get the grapefruit cake, I love grapefruit but because of medication I take I can't eat it or drink grapefruit juice. While there is grapefruit in the cake, it's not enough to mess with my medication and even if it was, I'd risk it.
Hi Deni! Loved the video. My wife and I did the "dine with an Imagineer" at the Brown Derby. It was so much fun and very informative. Not sure if that program has (or will ever) come back. Cobb salad, Tomato Soup, Chicken and Grapefruit cake! So Good. One quick constructive criticism, you are a great presenter, you don't need to edit so much. I think your videos are much more authentic if you don't edit.

I ate there a week ago for lunch and we also had Jedediah! He was so kind to toss my Cobb salad, which was delicious! I also ate a couple of those rolls with the yummy butter!
Great review Deni! We have never tried Brown Derby because we are both on the fussy side but mostly due to the price point. But your dinner looked delicious! We might just need to give it a try!
I love the Cobb Salad. I got it as my entree last time I visited and was very full. I had shrimp added to it but that was unnecessary in the end. One of my favourite restaurants on property. Thank you for the review Deni. My favourite meal there was Lunch with an Imagineer. Soup, Cobb Salad and Filet with a trio of desserts but the Imagineer was the highlight

Deni, Since I started this journey my waste line keeps expanding. I'm starting to blow up like a Mickey Mouse balloon including the ears. When the studio's first opened The Hollywood Brown Derby served a number of signature meals from the original restaurant. When the very first recipe book of WDW meals was sold in the parks. The Cobb Salard and the Grapefruit Cake made it inside the book. From the sparkle in your eyes I can tell the next time you eat there all you'll order is a entree sized portion of chocolate cake with caramel sauce. Bliss. Cheers, Chris Perry.

Our trip last September was really a trip for exploring the parks and rides since we had only been once before over a decade ago. The one thing we noted after is that next trip will be dedicated to food lol so HBD is definitely going on the list. The salad looked so good and that sort rib so flavorful (I know what I’m eating tonight lol).
Brown derby was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had at Disney. Inedible. Only place that was as bad was Sanaa. Both are incredibly overrated
