we don't ban commercials (or anything really)
I haven’t seen any of these advertisements ever, except for the last one. In fact the insurance company (in the last commercial) always came with winners.
Nothing is baned over here we are free in alot of things
Used to love these commercials as a kid, and it was even more hilarious when relatives from the States came to visit. Who laughed about them to, but initially were shocked. And yes in todays western woke world, Dutch commercials (and shows) have become pretty safe & boring.
these commercials are old, 90's and 80 's The dutch doe not bother nude or swearing on tv. We do not like censured stuff
they were just normal commercials
Commercial number 2: "Hou het leuk. Hou het rookvrij". Means; "keep it nice. keep it smoke free"
Commercial number 3: Wim asked Els to come to his house to do some exercising(wink face) and she walks away without giving him an answer.
Sorry we Dutchies are very open about things.
the expressions seemed taken from a children's book. In each case, (small) daily annoyances were highlighted and denounced. The aim was to make it clear to the public that you can actively contribute every day to making society more pleasant.
my personal favorite was "de plas" or the pee

Hou or houden means love or loving but also keep/keeping or hold/holding whatver, and leuk is like nice or fun i guess. keep it fun/nice keep it smoke free.
I want this back on TV ! Screw the woke bullshit.
The 2 that are your favorites are also mine 2 favorites
Number one actually never aired, despite winning a prize.
Imagine the first commercial on national TV in the USA.
I reacted to quick.
I always like it creamy! 😋👌🏼✌🏼
There not bannend.. there not as bad in dutch as they are translated.... there all intended to be funny.. as a funny commercial sticks better in the mind then a boring one. But some comercials should just stay in there thought out country as translating makes it worse. But then again.. all these are old and i mean old..
It says houd het leuk. Keep it cool dont smoke
the first commercial..swearing???.. i didn't hear any swearwords
it's in English, listen closely
@DACHBenelux I know it's in English, I I fully understand what they are singing.. It's just a normal sentance. Fuck is just another word for sex.. Since when is that a swearword
Oh boy...
hou het leuk. hou het rookvrij. meaning in dutch is. keep it fun. keep it smokefree
Dutch commercials where so good in the past! Nowadays its so boring and politicly correct because of the snowflakes. What I could remember about the last one with Clinton, is that the white house contacted te company to get it of the tv. Don't know its the truth though
keep it nice also whit not smoke like sour84 say keep it smoke free
reaction video's can be insightfull or fun.
Especially if the YTer has any idea of the meaning, point or flow of what he is viewing.
If not, they are utterly useless.
Like: why is there swearing in the first one? To illustrate that the kids have more knowledge of English then the parents. And suggesting to all adults that you'd better teach yourself, or you'll loose credibility for your kids.
So: no, this is not about if you can or can't swear in Dutch commercials. it is about the fact that quite some kids are ahead in things like proficiency of English.
if you don't get that layer, you could just as well react on a page of Korean or Afghan poetry: quite some white on the page, and a bunch of intriguing black lines. Must be good!
Wt dude ...are you woke??? ..no waayyy..dude grow up...that mentality is exactly what's wrong with this world now a days...
what does that even mean?
@@DACHBenelux Right??
stop these "reactions" it poisons the internet
I am Dutch, and I hate these commercials.
Hou/Keep - het/it - leuk/nice. Hou/Hold - het/it - rookvrij/smokefree.

With most off these commercials you have to read between the lines.
So you have to think to understand the real message.
@Zerocool-kb4ej It is not about swearing.
Its to learn Enlish Would you sing that song in front off your 5 year old knowing the meaning ??
