I remember going up with a pilot in an old Stearman airplane out of Chino airport to do aerobatics over lake Matthews back in the late 1980s, my how things have changed.

Did the lake end up fuller than when it started in 2014?

The lake is fed via the Colorado Aqueduct. The levels of lake fluctuate based on water deliveries throughout MWDs supply demands and agency agreements! If Lake Mathews ever goes dry, we have a problem.

The Desert is north and East of this Region GET YOUR GEOGRAPHY Right this is a Mediterranean climate which means wet in the winners dry in the summer. Not a DESERT!

Your understanding of "desert" is limited and no doubt influanced by and urban upbringing...

Only as long as there is water available to purchase from the Colorado. Better tell your corporate farms their years are numbered.

It's currently 73% full, or about 85% historical average. Relax

Imagine building cities in the desert and having to worry about water. If you live in a desert you cannot have green lines swimming pools and all the fancy things that people have that live in areas with more rainfall you chose to live in the desert so you’re gonna have to deal with it and conserve water even if it means letting your grass die your swimming pool dry up. You can’t have your cake and eat it too you’re either going to have water for necessities or you gonna have no water at all you pick and choose which one you want I would choose just to have water for necessities than have no water at all. I see pictures of all these hotels in Las Vegas that have these big elaborate water fountains no telling how many gallons of water evaporated out of this thing a day or even a minute I’m like Yep these people live in a desert to hear they are wasting water like it’s free

Turning desert into farmland is the problem not cities.

@@justsomeguy6474 Farms out in California Nevada are actually very efficient many of them used drip irrigation for crops as far as farming goes the real problem is almonds almonds should not be grown out there those trees use an outstanding amount of water but the population out there is growing too large for the land to handle but when it comes to people in California people and rest the areas the country just do not want them migrating to their area because they bring the same troubles that they have out in California to their new home.

@@jeffreyburney6161 It's takes over 250 Gallons of water to make 1 liter of almond milk. California is the largest exporter of almond milk in the world. You have no clue what you're talking about.

      Yet another urban sooth sayer...
this is the west Jeffry, where dorught starts when the rain stops and ends when the rains return, and they do.
