Colorado River Low Flow Event at Bullhead City/Laughlin **READ DESCRIPTION**
มุมมอง 78K2 ปีที่แล้ว
*THIS IS NOT DROUGHT RELATED* Colorado River low flow event on July 19, 2022. The reason for the low flow South of Davis Dam was to control the Caddisfly population in and around Laughlin and Bullhead City. The flow was reduced to 0.5 units for 7 hours, in which exposes larvae to the hot desert heat, effectively destroying them. The river flow fluctuates hourly. It has been back to normal since...

Were you worried about birds attacking the drone? I have seen a lot of youtube videos of that happening to people.

Thanks brother!
Will they ever make it bigger?
Great video. Thank you for capturing this!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🎉
What an awesome time lapse. Look forward to more of these.
Very beautiful mountains 😊
Thank you very much!
I lived in the Bullhead City area for 27 years. The water level fluctuates throughout the day, but this is incredibly low for summer. During holidays, the river is crammed with boats, jet skis, and wave-runners many operated by folks who are intoxicated. It’s downright dangerous. Clearly, this footage was taken during a weekday. If this river becomes a trickle, the western border of AZ, the cities of Bullhead, Lake Havasu City, Parker, and Yuma will all but die. Play is the major work in Laughlin/Bullhead. While it may be growing now, who wants to live where summer temps periodically exceed 120, or 112+ regularly May through September, if there isn’t water in which to cool off? Brutally hot area running out of water, yet they continue building homes throughout AZ and southern NV.
This was a planned low flow event. Please read the description. Would have saved you a ton of time in commenting. Has zero to do with the drought.
Would have saved you time for reading and responding, too. Gee, tough that we both have so much idle time. 🙄
@@paulbowers5995 it’s my video. Of course I read the comments. 🤣 just wish people would actually read before they judge. That’s what wrong with this country. Headline warriors everywhere.
@@visualeyescreative, especially in Bullhead City. If you don’t want comments, don’t post. Talk about thinned skin.
@@paulbowers5995 nobody said comments weren’t welcome. The comments here however, are akin to talking about cars when the subject is about cooking. See what I’m saying?! It just shows me how many people don’t read and take things at face value without any research!
Amazing how many people don’t bother to read the description where you said it was done purposely to destroy an insect population. Damn doomers, no it’s not Climate Change caused.
RIGHT!?! Thank you! I don't know how to be any more clear.
you aint seen nothin yet kids
Low flow because they are building a new bridge down river , The river is like max flow at night!! I don’t understand how they dump so much and then claim the reservoirs are at emergency levels?
Read the description.
I lived in Huntington Beach for a year. I liken it to Palm Springs with a beach:-) I collected a lot of shells there:-)
I can see how much the river has receded and how shallow it is. We are in a global warming crisis. It's affecting rivers around the world. I'm a BHC resident and I'm very concerned.
They slowed down the flow of water from the dam on purpose it's already back to normal.
@@Astronot7007 I'm glad to hear it but Lake Mead is still receding.
@@Astronot7007 Actually, the Colorado River is rapidly drying up if you check the net. They may have slowed it down for this event but in general we are in a drought and have been for over 20 years.
"Read Description" Where is it?
Right under the title.
Thanks for pointing out the description .
Excellent vlog! My wife and I vacationed in Laughlin for years, and enjoyed it very much. I was just in Bullhead City in March for a few days, it was as I remembered so fondly.
Anybody who is familiar with the area knows that the water is that low every morning. It will rise several feet by the end of the day. You leave your boat in knee deep water at sunset it will be 50 feet from the water by sunrise.
HARDLY ANY PPL THER ANYMORE. . SO THER LEAV WATER IN GROUNDS.. AN NOT PULLING IT UP
Can't wait to die of thirst.
Please would you do a video of the river near Willow Valley and Topock? 😥 OG River Rat.
Would love to! Used to camp at Five Mile Landing. Remember that place? Wasn’t far from Catfish Paradise. I’ll see what we can do.
I live here how did I not know this existed
Follow the Bullhead City Instagram account!
That is my happy place and has been for 40 years. If anything happens you'll see plenty of grown men cry !
Do you need permission to fly a drone on Bora Bora?
Blame Geoengineering for this problem and it will continue until the Government stops this EVIL PROGRAM!!
99.9% is waisted on watering lawns
Wrong!
The rain is coming... Don't worry
Nice video… new subscriber here..
Many thanks!! 🙏🙏
The low water level is what you'd expect following a twenty-two year mega drought. This being true, why oh why are they still building numerous new houses throughout Southwest US?
Same reason the band continued to play as the Titanic sank
Descriptions have details you may want to read about. This has zero to do with the drought. Read people.
@@visualeyescreative 🤣One mans Caddisfly is another mans Delta Smelt
We used to take the boat they ran across the river to the 2 casinos they had built there. Looks like a lot more people living there than back then. Gets hot enough there to fry an egg literally on the sidewalk. 🤷🏼♀️
Nice video, Beautiful view! Just watched your low flow video. Big difference in the water level! I'm watching this from Hawaii!
Colorado River way over allocated…

I find it amazing that no one will admit that Almighty God is removing his blessings from this once great nation do to our sinful ways.
What a crappy way to go about your miserable existence, punishment and torture. I'm glad I'm not you.
No water to put out the fire the Bible must be true... repent, love is the only way
Increase in population, decrease in groundwater, grounds for disaster.. good luck everyone.
Cool video... So I guess the price of a home on the river just went down.
Read the description. Prices are high! There’s a reason and this video is not why.
Cool video... So I guess the price of a home on the river just went down.
Nope ,not yet. This flow is temporary for now. It already back up.
What happened to all the water

I assume if you live in Bullhead City this had some meaning. Otherwise ??????
It’s all in the description! People need to read and stop being headline warriors!
Scrap the Evs and move to Hvs NOW
These drone footages are not always authentic. Timelines for what you see don’t always make sense.
Ours do. We don’t manipulate the footage aside from color grades and transitions.
Honest to God... I used to go camping at Bullhead City when it was a trailer park...with one General Store ...they had a huge bug zapper that would fry knats all night long....
Keep voting republikkkns in and soon the water won't even be good to get in!
I live in Bullhead 300 yards from the river. I am afraid that this, as a non scheduled event, or even worse will be the future if we don't get a handle on our water usage. It is nice to see things being maintained.
Hey Kurt...a lot has to do with Utah's gross negligence...Too many Golf courses and new Soccer Fields... I remember in the early 70s when Bullhead City was a trailer park! Yeah! With one General Store...went camping there every year ...and Havasu twice a year....yep...a trailer park...wish I had Sense enough to have bought some acreage there at around 3-500 bucks an acre! Yeah! ✌️ Eric Underwood Class of 81 Downey High school CA ✌️❤️🇺🇸
Everyone can thank NASA for the weather control..... BAM!
Great drone video!
Thank you!
