Hi! I use double pionted knitting needles, for the sun ray weave, they come in lots of gages. I find lots of them at thrift stores, or you can get them at craft stores. the DP knitting needles are very stable, making very even weaves.
Ty so much and easy when I can teach my granddaughters so that they get interested they’ve been into it for about a year but they’re still young. I hoping one day one of them have some skills or at least have fun❣️💞Love your videos
I have a question. I have pudgy fingers but very small knuckles. I am concerned about the thickness of wire rings. Some rings are too thick to be comfortable on my fingers. What is a good shank for my fingers?
Hi! You could try using a thick gauged low dome or half-round wire? Maybe 16-12 gauge? That way it sits more comfortably on your finger. Hope that makes sense. :)
I love this design! I've seen some earrings from Cleft of the Rock Creations and pendants, but not a ring design. And with craft show season in swing, I thought why not make it adjustable?
Sorry for the late reply... The pliers I'm using are Swanstrom pliers from RioGrande. Here's the link: www.riogrande.com/product/swanstrom-pliers-set/111703GP/?code=111703 They are a bit of an investment, so if you're looking for a plier set that works well but a little easier on the wallet, I recommend these: amzn.to/3TMt9Q1 Hope that helps!

That is such a great idea!! I’m pretty sure I have some of those laying around somewhere, too… lol. Thanks so much for the tip!

Aww, that's so sweet! I started young, but didn't have any guidance. So neat that they get to learn from their Grandma!

Suas joias são lindas . Como você faz pra dar s cor enegrecida nas peças?
Thanks so much! I use a liver of sulfur solution to darken the metal and then use a rotary tool or fine steel wool to polish it up. I hope that helps!
I really like this ring, but I'm wondering how you prevent the end of the wire on top of the bead from catching on things?
You can file/sand it down or even use a cup bur to help soften the end. I also try and tuck in the wire as close as I can to the bead.
Very good, thanks so much@@ellieshandcrafted

Multiple versions on this concept. Lanhahn uses fine wire. I used 18g
