The 4060 Ti should’ve just been a regular 4060 priced at $300 with 12GB of VRAM and a 192 bit memory bus.
facts and the 4070+ added bus with the 16gb for the extra $150
4070 is really the starting point of where you would probably want to upgrade to a 40xx series card. Not great value but anything below is truly last gen performance other than DLSS3 etc
entire RTX 40 and RX 7000 series so far are disappointment
It is until you consider the price point. To me it's more of the max point of upgrade you need to go... 4060 is good enough and 4060 ti 16 gb when >8GB of vram are need are just up to +400% fps and next to 4070. So there is no need to upgrade until software is optimized for larger vram... 3060 12gb is not faster than 4060 8gb in general. You wait for games to be patched and everything works as if you had a better gpu than a RX 6700 /PS5... No need to waste money in 6 times more expensive 4090 eith 6 times more raw performances that only delivers 3 times more fps at 1440p or 4K or +50% at 1080p

Can't believe the 4060ti makes the 4070 look like such a great card, especially for value, Nvidia pretty much killed their 40 series lineup with the 4060ti and 4060 releases

4070 is only $50-$100 more expensive compared to 4060 ti 16gb

@@reytr21 no make sense to buy 4060 and 4060 ti. It`s better to purchase 3060 ti for a better price or used. 40 series ends at 4070.

4060Ti will be good for AI, 16GB vram is amazing, but for gaming, that's redundant, you don't need that much vram with a terrible memory bus.
for 4000 series:
4060: terrible, what's the hell is this
4060 Ti 8GB: quite good, good p/p
4060 Ti 16GB: good for AI and other works

@@EarthIsFlat456 Yeah 60+ fps with fake frames settings enabled😂😂
It seems this generation Nvidia the GPU you purchase average fps is basically the 1% lows of the tier up GPU🤔. They really need to cut the prices of their gpus at least $100-200 on the sub $1k GPU market to start to give incentives to upgrade or buy👍😇. As a long time ITX builder I’m wondering where are all the ITX single-fan 4060Ti and 4070’s with their low power usage and minimal heat output 🤦♀🙈
Now I picked up a 4060ti 16gb for around 400eur. This is my first GPU ever purchased meant for a decent gaming pc mainly for a dota 2 and similar stuff. Wondering if this was a good value for the money as again '- I'm not really upgrading it.. and what would get better choice as i do have 30 days to return it 😅
Don't listen to them 400eur for this is very good
It’s an okay deal but personally, I’d go with an RX 6800 due to the much higher bandwidth, actually faster than the 4060 Ti while still having 16GB of VRAM and yet, it is more on par with the RTX 4070 while costing similar to the RTX 4060 Ti.
But if you do really want the efficiency of the 4060 Ti, then you’ve made a good choice going for it as the RX 6800 consumes 225W-250W while the RTX 4060 Ti only consumes around 140w-165w.
Bro, 400 euro for rtx 4060 ti 16 gb is a really good price. Where I live now the price would be ~660 usd. I wonder how much rtx 4070 or a rtx 4080 is worth in your town. Personaly, I would go for rtx 4070 12 gb. Because I believe it's like more "future proof". But overall, rtx 4060 ti, is not bad at all
That's a very good price for the 16GB version , I looked at a European price comparison site and the cheapest I could find the 8GB version for was 420 euro.
could be a good idea put the games in 4k to see how much vram consume the games right now
You need to lower graphics from ULTRA to High - thats it - Done and 4070 will run it at more frames than 4060 guaranteed
16gb vram om 4060 ti ngridia logic
This card should need 12gb vram
4070 16gb vram
now it became clear to me why nvidia like giving the extra VRAM to the +60 cards instead of +70 cards. The cards won't be powerful enough to make benefit from the extra VRAM and they get to charge you more for them, it's the perfect scam move😂
You only need extra VRAM for 4k, not for a 1080p graphics card.
Interesting compare new GPU with arc 770
They got the VRAM the wrong way around 😂

Rx 6800 is my go-to, for the price of a 8gb 4060, rx 6800 performs slightly weaker than rtx 4070 but performs similarly to rtx 3080
I think the same too. Plus its similar to RTX 4070 power draw as well.
if you keep ray tracing off.
amd gpu double your cost literally
As someone that owned a rx6800 I'd recommend getting the 4070 instead.
Nvidia drivers are still better on windows. The worse thing about owning the rx6800 is a bug in a specific game that took a year to fix.
Only thing I'll probably miss is adrenaline. Thats a bit buggy too.
@@caribbaviator7058 a bug with fortnites performance mode is still there after a long time and thats why im chosing to buy a more expensive rtx 4070 over rx 6700 xt
Dang, even the 4070, which is usually a definite 1440p card only got 42 Fps in Hogwarts.
Developers make games with the idea it will take several years to make a Triple A title.
So they plan ahead for what they think will be largest % of gpu out there for likely around 60 Fps.
So they either were ill advised, or mistaken in their estimates of where the gpu market would be at launch.
So did nvdia deliberately as many suspect, F with the 40 series branding for $ to set new lower high's of expectation. Such has the cut down 4060 128bit, even the 16gb card has same 128bit. Some suggestion that its actually a 4050..
No wonder many opted out of the 40 series, economic conditions just made that an easier outcome.
With RTX ultra enabled in Hogwarts Legacy though..
cause its running 1440p at native. most people use dlss
@@ImperialDiecast
Hi, yeah however youre spending a ton of cash for a gpu alone, where you could just get a console optimised for the title. it might not have the best textures but value proposition...
This is a huge hardware issue. Basically because of mediocre hardware improvements from last gen to this gen from both AMD and Nvidia, they aren't able to keep up with the increasing graphical demands. The only thing that gets a pass is the RTX 4090, which costs around 1600$-2100$ depending on retailer. All the rest AMD and Nvidia GPUs dont have enough improvements and I think if thats the path we're heading in its best if they add 2 extra years to a generation's life span before they release true "next-gen" performing GPUs.
@@mna.author
Agreed, i might suggest they may have also over estimated the performance of the hardware, no doubt thanks to where they thought or were told the hardware would be in future capabilities.
No one wants to bring a title to market that can be bought by few people. its product suicide in the profit loss books.
It may have been a case where the GPU make in particular the massive market leader being NVidia over promised and under delivered. Especially where you throw in all the BS of the the 4080 / 70 / ti
The ridiculous 128 bit bus of a 050 generation series card and not a 060.
Lots of smoke and mirrors in the naming conventions of the 40 series.
See if this new compression method Nvdia had been, or are working on ,ease's some the strain on future titles. Only heard about it recently so no idea if thats actually already been brought to market ,or if its on a release schedule.
Clearly 4070 when prices normalize.
Just go with a 6700 XT and call it done. Wait for the next gen in a year or two. See how that one goes.

because most of those people are lying and just repeating what others say. it is always good to have more vram, but running out doesnt automatically crash a game or make it unplayable framerate. the games that do that are brand new that need to be patched.

I doubt it since the 8gb 4060 is cheaper for the same performance as the Ti.
Basically the 4xxx series starts at 499. NVidia could have made the 4060 a 12gb card at 399 but refused just to screw the midrange market so you either go for an 8gb 299 card or 16gb 499. It sucks

I'd say 4060 ti 16gb is good if you can find it around 400-425 bucks max. In a scenario if 4070 is only little over 50 bucks then it is no brainer to pick it, however if price difference is more than 100-125$ then you're better off saving those for future upgrade.
The Flight Simulator test isn't representative. First of all, you should run it in DX12 which gives you the best performance and graphics fidelity. If you load up in a bespoke airport with a complex airliner, it will eat all of your VRAM for breakfast. Especially if you turn on Frame Generation which doubles your framerate on 4000-cards. My 4080 16GB gets maxed out of VRAM usage, but it's performance is smooth as can be. The 4060 Ti 16GB will likely outperform the 4070 8GB in that situation.
That fps gap is shows how nvidia dont care anymore about their products
I'd pay 400 for an rtx 4070 with 16gb. The rtx 4060 ti 16gb should be 280 max.

1920x1080 seria lo justo estas en 2k y estas forzando mas a la 4060 ti que esta pensada a esa resolucion
It really depends, a lot of people criticize the 16g 4060 Ti, the 4070 has an advantage in games, but when it comes to Artificial Intelligence, the 4060's 16g has an advantage
4060ti 16gb is actually what the basic 4060 should have been. Now as compaired to 4070, the 4060ti is a scam because a user with 400-500 $ card will need RTX performance with 1440P which is lacking in 4060ti.
Game like formal u won't notice the difference. I say 4060 16gb is holding solid. Temps and power usage are alot lower than the 40 70 every game. Any single player game at 60fps is gonna look super smooth
hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby
Over 50 watt additional power draw from the 4070 wtf!
RTX 4060 Ti 16GB если их в пару поставить будет ли работать?
How? 16g vs 12g and 12g better than biggest vram?
It's just stupid! It is logical that the 4070 chip will be more powerful than the 4060ti
@@helifmair21 its just question 😒
@@koszazanafar635Video memory is required for stable operation of games and other tasks, but the video chip is responsible for performance
Meanwhile I just bought a 6800XT for around 510 €.
Runs 4k like a dream, however you may have to optimize the settings a little bit.
@@user-jw2ol3dq2z It will be for a 1440p setup so I'm not too worried.
Not gonna lie, an RTX2080 Ti could do better than a 4060 Ti
The RTX 4070 is the real RTX 4060.
I'll just hold onto my rtx3060 12gb a little while longer... Still plays my games really well. If I had the money though, an rtx4070 would be a no brainer. I think the 4060 is a pass because of the 8gb of vram, but the 4060ti 16gb is just under the price of a 4070 which performs quite a lot better at 1440p
4060ti 16gb is around$400, a 4070 ti 16gb is around $800. Thats not just "under the price". Plus screw what anyone says. Its still a good card. It does what you need it to do. Go with PNY, stay away from any gigabyte card and asus cards.
@@xeakira Yeah I recently did upgrade to a 4070 FE a few months ago from my 3060. It’s been a massive massive upgrade in games but also 3d rendering. But the 3060 12gb was still holding up well
vram its not All
so go with a 4070 id get similar performance cause i have a i9 12900k chipset
Can u do the rx5500xt 8gb vs 4060 ti 16gb pls ❤
Link buy ...
8GB VRAM is more than enough for most of 1080p-Ultra Games.
4070 is actually really good for 4k 60 fps gaming or very high fps on 1440p, while 4060 ti 16 gb is decent for 1440p 60-70 fps. if both were priced 100 dollars less, both would be really good options, now with these prices im still waiting for rx7700 7800 release to compare them to 6800 and xt version and these two, then ill pull trigger
we’ve got Nvidia marketing team over here

Good card for ultra wide qhd too
wow that great comparison between 3070 (2023) vs 3080 (2023)
Is there a logical explanation as to why 4060ti gets 16gb and 4070 and 4070 ti stuck with 12?
Pay another 100$ and ull get it
cause people bashed nvidia when they released the 4060ti with 8gb so they just released this 16gb version for an extra 100 dollars to make people shut up
This way people have more options. Some like this, some don't. Some gamers prefer to have high detail textures which costs almost no compute power, all you need for this is more VRAM. Of course if the memory bus interface can keep up with its transfer speed, that is. Some testers will point out special scenarios in which more than 12GB VRAM are useful today already, helping out a 4060 Ti 16GB. If it ever delivers more FPS than a 4070, I am not yet sure about.
Still waiting for more power consumption values for idle, multi-monitor and video playback in different resolutions, models and refresh rates. We might see an Ada Refresh in 2024, solving some of customer's missing needs with different configurations. Next architecture gets released in 2025. Players allocating low budget for graphics might consider upgrading to an 8GB GPU in 2027, if the entire market is not taken by inexpensive and fast APUs (CPUs with integraded graphics).
Yeah.... it's related to the memory bus configuration. 128-bit, 256-bit, and (rare these days)512-bit cards will have memory configurations of 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB etc.
96-bit, 192-bit, and 384-bit will have memory configurations of 3GB, 6GB, 12GB, 24GB, 48GB, 96GB, etc
Each memory module on the card has a 32-bit bus link. Cards like the 1080ti and 2080ti come with 11 memory modules and have 11Gb of VRAM. Despite that, the 3090 actually comes with 24 modules of VRAM, 12 on the front and 12 on the back, but two modules share a 32-bit link. The 3090ti corrects this problem and uses 2GB single sided modules.
All forms of the 4060ti have four memory modules on the GPU side/frontside. The 8GB model uses 2GB modules and the 16GB model uses 4GB modules. I double-checked a couple 16GB 4060ti tear-downs to make sure they were not using dual sided 2GB modules.
The 4070 and 4070ti have six memory modules on the GPU side/front-side. These are 2GB modules.
@@Alexandrevonf The 16GB version was in the plans from day one.

what a nice rtx 4050ti vs rtx 4060ti video!
So im looking at getting the 4060ti. Im upgrading from a 2060. The reason I think I want the 60 is that I also need to buy a second fpr the partner. The difference in cost when calculating two maxs the most sense for me.
just got a 4070
I have memory FOMO with the 4070, which I probably wouldn't have if the 4060 ti 16gb didn't exist
Way to go NVIDIA!
Bro pair rtx 4060ti with an i5 14 gen for excellent performance
And i9 13900k with 4060 ti gives us a bottleneck of 9%💀
for a 100 bucks more, RTX 4070 for sure.
My bro got a 4070ti for $750
Yes, but here I'll pay 426 euro for a 4060 Ti and 641 euro for a 4070
thats the price for the 8gb version
Lol all they had to do was give the og 4060 ti 12GB Ram and call it a day
This is a real test/hardware????? I dont know feels fake
