Girl! we just moved 3 weeks ago, and we rented a giant dumpster... like the ones they use on construction sites, lol. We had so much... just junk that I had held onto for some reason. Then MULTIPLE carloads to Goodwill. I felt this video in my soul!
We moved from Vermont to North Carolina in May. We lived in the same home for 20 years and I could not believe how much we collected over the years. I thought I could get through it without crying but even though moving was what we had wanted to do for years, it was still the house we raised our family in. 🥰

But we have been in for just under 2 years and I started crafting so over time my storage is a It's limit, so after New Years I need to do some reorganisation 😳. You are such a trooper. I moved last year and I was so exhausted but not pregnant. I cried so much because I had so much to do but I am in my 50's and it was hard on my body. Also we moved in the heat of the Texas summer. I can't imagine doing this and being pregnant.

I can relate to decluttering and getting rid of things. Today I started to get the Christmas decorations out, the tree is up, but not decorated. I went through all the decorations and got rid of things I no longer used or were just old and worn out. I threw out two big garbage bags of items so I felt really good. about what I accomplished. Tomorrow I can relax and decorate the tree. I may be pitching ornaments as I decorate the tree. I am planning a move in the future and like you, a new house deserves new things. No point in moving things I no longer want to a new space.
Feeling those packing emotions right along with you. I thought moving only 500 ft to our new house would be easy one car load at a time but I put off each car load bc my house is so clean without all the stuff we still have to move! Makes me pickier at what I want to donate and keep tho bc if it doesn’t have a place to go in the new house it is not going in our storage room in the basement 😜 My girls are 10 & 15 and have totally different tastes in clothes so I really don’t keep much for the youngest anymore and I just use my old navy rewards to buy her new stuff👏 u look so cute with your baby bump😘
Can’t imagine doing this all while pregnant Lynn! We just built & moved states but wow, you go Mama! I will never give up my cordless. Although our new house doesn’t have any carpet so it works for me.
I moved out a couple months ago. We de cluttered months before moving and used a pods storage unit. The moving part was still dreadful. I cried it was overwhelming. So glad it’s over 😣😣

This moving series has kept me motivated. Our closing is tomorrow for both houses, which was a terrible idea! 😳 need our current house empty and clean at 9am, but can't go to the new house until tomorrow afternoon 😬 there's still so much to do!

I decluttering on a yearly bases. I have a rule, before something new can come in, something old has to go out. I recently got the new Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven. It air fries, bakes, broiled, dehydrates, and cooks nice size sheet pan meals. This oven also holds a 12 inch frozen pizza. It replaced three other countertop appliances, the NuWave Oven, the old Toaster Oven, and the Egg shaped Air Fryer. The best part is it flips up on it%’s side so not to take up space.. I love a Dyson Vacuum. Mine just died and I had to buy a Bissell. I wasn’t in the position to get another Dyson, but when I can I am getting the Dyson Animal Cordless Vacuum. QVC is the best place to get it, check for the TSV for the best price and the easy pay makes it more affordable. I can’t wait o see your new house!

We've lived here 15 yrs longest ever. We plan to move next year we think I'm purging and decluttering now. I'm starting in the bath tomorrow but everything else after the holidays.
Has your mind set changed regarding stuff ? What are your thoughts going forward with purchasing for the new home! How much will you replace! Or will you minimize! We moved 7 months before our house sold and we found we didn’t need all we had and it was very easy to let go ! Our house is smaller and it helps with my new purchase s ! I only replace!

We lived with all our stuff packed up for 1and a half years when we bought our house . I started packing as soon as i knew what house we were going to buy . Our house got tied up in a old trust . It was a night mare !
I went cordless with a brand new DYSON, BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY EVER!! I used it maybe 8 times and every time there was an issue... I bought a CORDED SHARK AND LOVE IT. The cord is t an issue perhaps bc if how I hold it.. I never step or trip in it and I'm able to release slack when needed without issue...
Not sure if this is the right place to say this but I would be interested in your Shark Apex UpLight vacuum. Please let me know if you have gotten rid of it yet or not. Thank you!!

Working so hard, but it will be worth it, down the road. Lynn, I’m old😂 and I have had good corded and cordless vacuums and I have to say that, while the cord is a pain, in my opinion the cordless vacs don’t have as much sucking power. I have Maine Coon cats and deeper pile rugs and my corded vac does a better job. I love my cordless for my hardwood floors.
I used to be a house cleaner that was my first job ever. And the lady I worked for would vacuum everything. Like I mean anything that had dust she would vacuum before wiping it down, and she would vacuum hard floors. Is there any particular reason you don’t? Does it just spread the dust?
I not moving but I started de clutter since April 2019 went I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child we live in a small house, my son it’s about to turn a year old and i still think we need to declutter, I wish we could move to a bigger house but Denver, Co it’s getting so expensive so I guess I’ll continue to get rid of stuff...lol
Our elf arrived early also... by youngest already swears he knows the truth about elf, Santa, tooth fairy and Easter bunny... but he says “don’t worry mom, I won’t tell (older brother) and spoil it for him”... he said his elf is a girl named “cupcake”

Before you get that green garbage bag thing make sure your trash company picks them up and the cost . People have paid for them only to find out that their trash company doesn't pick them up and others find out it is so expensive.

Ahh no way!! My 18 month old’s name is also Emma Lynn! So crazy!! Emma is such a beautiful name, and we love calling her Em and Emmy. 😌😌
Gotta love moving (not really) but at least it’s a good time to get rid of stuff we don’t need. Excited for your new house next year in March 😁
