      Hi Jeremy, i wondering what your thoughts are on the ctk 2000 compared to the ctk 3500. I was noticing the 2000 has 110 built in songs compared to the 50 offered on the ctk3500 although its a bit of an older model in comparison, I am uncertain as a beginner if i should opt with the 2000 both are used and I was just hoping for a professional opinion and also curious if you can add different songs to the keyboard or if it only works with the preinstalled songs?

    I have just started studing to learn playing the piano, after watching videos about learning to play the piano for many years, because of this locking down period, and suddenly I discovered something that no video said: to learn to play the piano you need to learn to play it without watching the keys, simply because the piano is played by two hands and if you watch to one hand you cannot watch to the other one!

    Based almost entirely on your videos (along with the manual, some sound/rhythm demos), I ordered my Casio CT-X700. I understand your concerns about the convenience of the UI, but the AiX sound quality, price, and feature set just won me over.

    I have the Casio SA-76, which I have used to play music at religious services at assisted living facilities, and it comes in handy. (It would be nice if Casio would release a 49-key keyboard with mini keys; I think they did a long time ago, but it was not released in the United States.

    I own an almost fully working Casio Casiotone MT-800 keyboard, there are just a couple of effect buttons that need to be fixed. It is almost fourty years old, my father bought it. The keys are smaller than the standard size and they are not touch sensitive, but, connected to an Hi-Fi amplifier, with Hi-Fi headphones, it sounds good.

    The CT-S100 is the only one that doesn’t seem to have inflated in price like crazy at least where I live. The X700 you liked is almost 3x the price at 270 bucks. I think I’ll either have to settle for the 100 or find some used one. I’m sure either will be better than the 35 dollar keyboard my daughter has now from a toy store.

    Hey my friend. I am a subscriber and fellow "Jeremian".
    Interesting note, I haven't owned a keyboard in over 20 years & YET I STILL ENJOY WATCHING your keyboard videos and i enjoyed your "living in Singapore" videos. Keep up the great work!!!!
    One question...from here on. can you please mention in your keyboard videos - whether or not the model has "OCTAVE SHIFT".
    I know you can get around that by using a keyboards transpose feature (as long as it can up or down 12 semitones/1 octave) but it's not really the same thing.
    I love Casio keyboards. Because of your reviews, i have my eye on the CS300. I want to turn it into a keytar!!!
    lmao...
    I am harmonica player by trade and never really learned piano before, so this will be interesting!!!!
    Thank you again for your excellent videos!!!!

    Hi Jeremy, if I wanted to buy the CT-X700, I think I would give some more money and buy the CT-X800. The USB connector is really a great addition. Among other things, it makes it possible to upload new rhythms and new songs easily to the keyboard.
    There is also the possibility to convert a MRF song recorded with the 6-tracks recorder to a standard MIDI file and save it to an USB stick for later edition in a DAW. Actually, it is very easy to produce a standard MIDI file on the CT-X800, which is quite a non-documented feature unfortunately.

    • @JeremySee
      @JeremySee  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Vinciane, yes the CT-X800 is better than the CT-X700, however, in isn't readily available in many markets. Hope France is managing the situation well.

      Jeremy See Hi Jeremy, the things are more or less under control, the only issue is that we don’t know at this stage how long the quarantine will last yet and it is depressing to be stuck at home without any contact with family and friends excepted by phone or Skype, FaceTime etc.

    Tomorrow I am going out to buy a CTS300 or a CTX700.. I've been wracking my brain for days trying to decide which one. I love the CTS size, but love the CTX sound. The CTX has so many more functions, but most I'll never use, but no tone wheel, which the CTS has and I will use. It's driving me nuts.

    Really enjoying your videos and advice! Thank You! I am having somewhat of a hard time in choosing. I'm a beginner. Wanting to start with online lessons. Lessons that have the piano/keyboard attached to the computer so my progress can be tracked and graded for rhythm and pitch, etc. I know I'll need a metronome, would like headphone and sustain pedal and I'm guessing touch sensitive would be helpful for a beginner. I question how necessary different voices and accompaniments and a few other features are necessary and helpful for a beginner. I just want to learn how to play first. Portability would be nice as well but still would like full size keys for touch and muscle memory.

    WOW, here in EU a lot of the keyboards are overpriced such as the CTS300 and CTX700 and more. I am planning to buy my first keyboard because I am inspired these days to learn instruments and also got my MIDI controller and ukulele already but it's disappointing that the price is stopping me from getting an ideal keyboard that would help me improve my skills. I guess I'll just go with CTK3500 coz the price here is just right and it has a MIDI USB where I can easily connect it to any DAWs I use.

      @@JeremySee Hello! Can you recommend which is better CTS300 or CTK3500? I am a beginner with keyboards and I really want to learn, I had an interest in keyboards since I was young but never really got the opportunity and resources back then to learn it. I have watched several of your reviews so I know that both have a MIDI USB Connection, which is something I am looking for a keyboard and both seem to play well and just right for beginners and has the price range I am looking for at 100-150 euros (although I hate the prices here in EU are too much) but which would you honestly think is better between the two coz I am still not sure which to get even though I have watched a lot of reviews?
      I was considering the PSS A50 coz I saw it first because of its feature and price and it has a MIDI USB connection but I am not sure if it is ideal for someone who would like to really learn to play a keyboard. Also, it's not readily available here, I had to wait at least 14 weeks to get it. Please help, sorry I am very novice about things like this.

    Jeremy, I just watched your newest video today(which is not popping up here)...anyhow as teacher I like the idea of your computer program that changes the sounds on the cheaper keyboards(yay!)...I was not sure about the key pressure and terrible touch of those...does it actually change that? I was now not recommending those to my students....but if the touch can be improved, I would be willing to try that!!! Did you invent this? I actually need more training in electronic keyboards...I have played acoustic all my life. Short story..looking for a keyboard for a student, I had a guy come over w a nice 400$ used keyboard...it all sounded great...then I realized I could not even TRY out the piano without an amplifier!!!!

    I am looking to start playing the keyboard and have been watching your videos. I know you recommend the PSR-E363 for your students. Would the PSR-EW300 be a good starting keyboard as well? I wanted to start with 76 keys instead of 61, everything else seems to be about the same from what I could tell.

      - a 76-key version of a CT-X keyboard.
      - a key-lighting AiX keyboard in English.
      I don't think they're ever gonna release any of them.

    Hi Jeremy, I understand you like the tones of the Yamaha E363 a lot. But for beginners, I think that could be just a luxury-to-have. Meanwhile the CTX700 offers many more basic and useful features that are useful to users. Can I say the CTX700 is a better choice between these two entry level keyboards with very similar prices, for beginners? What do you think? Thanks!

    • @GabrielRocha-po9fz
      @GabrielRocha-po9fz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you will use Dual and Split functions, one day you may want to adjust the volume of the sounds. The PSR E363 can adjust the volumes, and the CT-X700 can't.
      If you need more registration banks, the CT-X700 offer 8 banks of 4 registrations each (32 in total). The PSR E363 have only 1 bank of 10.
      If the piano tones are your main concern, my preference is the CT-X700. The piano sound on the PSR E363 is okay, but it sounds dated.
      If you will use the keyboard as a MIDI controller A LOT, go for the PSR E363. It has a built-in interface, so the sound of the computer will go through the PSR E363 speakers.
