wow - - - you can get 70% below > the 'US average' (!) in the Philippines -&- they speak English. Quite a few Japanese live & work in the Philippines too. The country is heavily invested there. --- Thinking of retiring there myself - after - more than a years worth of world wide research ! Some 400,000 US expats are scattered on their 7,000 islands but there is plenty of room for more. It really is an up and coming place and can accomodate any budget - rich to poor. Famous in many areas for a damn decent life on an average SS check.
@@frankkluz9787 True. I do have a house in Batangas. Bought it in 2010 and we use it as the free lodging for us and all other family members visiting. Have not moved permanently there yet because Wife and I are on a retirement tour. Did a year in Napa, a year in Destin, now a year or 2 in Japan. We are each retired military and in our 40s, so work is in the past. Philippines will eventually be our final destination.
@@Dangic23 Well done young man ! -- Tagaytay (climate) is my pick - it suits me & my style. I'm alone now retired and really did most all of what I wanted when I was young enough to enjoy it. 'Comfortable' and more frugal now relaxed and good food are enough. Reasonably close to Manila for a fun trip shopping or quality health care. -- Have some friends retired near Lipa City & in Dumaguete. -- All the best !!!
@@frankkluz9787 Tagaytay is my dream. I want to live in those high rise condos overlooking Taal. Have been trying to convince the Wife for about 10 years now, lol.
They can have Bali - and - '''all the other''' - hot sweaty and torturously humid locations ! More comfortable climatic conditions are to my liking. Some higher elevations are available - cities with quite nice climates are far and few between. --- Baguio Tagaytay Malaybalay are 3 in the Philippines I am aware of. Cost of living is very low too. Locals speak English are friendly welcoming and extremely helpful ! --- The Philippines has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - Hawaiian like only better for perhaps 10% of the cost can be visited easily.
I hope our govt get at least 1 way ticket from tourists to send them back home if they break the local law and order. Nowadays so many tourists break the law, fight with local police.
