For the Etihad example, the same thing happened to me with Qantas. It proceeded with the booking but I only had one out of two people actually ticketed so I had to transfer the remaining 400 pts (supposed to be just 16k, but ended up being 16.4k) and call Qantas to apply it as AA said I had outstanding payment. So odd.
quick question, I have the Amex business platinum card now. And I wanted to get the Amex trifector. Of personal platinum, gold, and blue business, in which order should i get them?
You'll want to go in order of annual fee, so Green first (if you want to get it), then Gold, then Platinum. The Blue Business Plus doesn't affect eligibility for any other cards, so you can grab that anytime along the way.
I doubt that the US Open is influencing room rates a couple of weeks after the event will have ended, which is when the stay would be. I said I was looking this week, not that I was staying this week. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of event -- though NYC room rates in general have gotten awfully high, event or no event. -Nick
Another card worth considering, perhaps instead of U.S. Bank's Smartly, is the AOD Federal Credit Union's Signature Visa. The 3% for everything is pretty great even with what I think is relatively reasonable $1,500 per month spending cap. FEES No annual fees No foreign transaction fees BENEFITS 3% cash back earned on the first $1,500.00 spent per cycle, 1% cash back earned on amounts over $1,500.00 Rewards Automatically Posted
Just a note 08:49 mentioned no foreign transaction fees which I believe is incorrect for the Chase Ink Unlimited
Was going to comment on this as well. Only the Ink Preferred has no foreign transaction fees.
Thanks again for taking my question!

This was very good and very informative!
Thanks for the podcast
I was able to register for the Marriot elite offer and seriously considering the SA booking for 20 days. How would I check in without being there?
I’m currently at gold and 33 nights

Hello, my name is Regina and I have made the mistake of getting the premier instead of the preferred. Don’t be like Regina! 😂😂😂
Thank you
Used my elite American status to get upgrade on Alaska

No. They will nerf it again, some more.
@@newagain9964 Maybe, but, as Greg pointed out, we should jump on opportunities like this while they last.
