Marty Friedman is one of my Guitar Heroes! 🤟
Truly amazing playing Emanuele! 👏👏👏 And indeed a phenomenal solo by Marty Friedman. I have always been a huge fan of his ever since he released Dragon’s Kiss in the late 80’s. I think when Marty played in Megadeth that it was the best line-up and era the band ever had. It was fanrastic to warch him joining them recently again for just a couple of songs in Budokan. Absolutely legendary performance there by Marty, nailing 😊that Tornado of Souls solo and everything he was doing on stage. Phenomenal artist and guitar legend! 🤘😎🤘

The killing road solo. I know dave plays the end but lets just count that in as the solo. The solo is just absolutely amazing. It slowly creeps in, has the climax, and slowly goes out, and then has all the bends at the end.

imo there's a lot of Marty's later works outside Megadeth that are way better than his solos in Megadeth but I feel like they don't talked about a lot
dude wrote this solo in his 30 and now doing japanese kitara mumbo jumbo things .a complete devolution .

Lots of great options to choose from but my favourite Marty solo from his time with Megadeth is definitely Trust off the Cryptic Writings album, it's one of the ones I always like to attempt to play whenever I'm in the mood, honourable mention to Angry Again from Hidden Treasures, that's another one I enjoy.

I don't know everything about Friedman's career but I surely know his popular highlights and this is one of the best solos ( in my opinion ) he made with Megadeth.
It's just my personal opinion.
He also has a lot of facets in his playing if we think about the first recordings with cacophony and his more melodic solo material like "Scenes" and "Introduction".
The real challenge is finding a Friedman's bad performance ahah!
