    "And that's a relish!"
    "... mustard."
Is some of the best comedic dialogue I've ever heard. Is it bad I can recite this word for word? Please Steve, Armando and Tim: bring this back. I enjoyed the new series of This Time with AP but Mid Morning Matters just goes all in, jokes one after another. Incredible how many they manage to cram into such a simple format: two dudes sitting in a DJ booth in (North*) Norfolk. Just guys being dudes. One of the funniest shows ever made.

You should also include the Gibbons brothers, I think they're the main writers of all 'post-I'm' Partridge. Geniuses all but it really does come down to the enactment at the end of the day, which is 100% Coogan. I don't think there's any comedy that crams as much funny per second as Partridge.

Steves character has never suffered from bad writing in the 25+ years he's been on telly, i'm so glad Alan is still around, what's so bizzare is that I realised Alan hasn't changed in all that time, as i thought over the years he had become more sympathetic, no, its because i'm now closer to him in character now as i approach 45, I see some of myself in Alan, which adds a new fresh comedic layer to his character, im laughing at myself, something i did not relate to when i discovered him in my early 20s. Working with Steve many years ago was great and a pleasure, I never mentioned however, that I admired his work, i wish i had.

Season 1 is peak Partridge. Who else used to have the App on your phone, that shuffled your music, playing the show as if it were the radio in between tracks…?

I'll never forget when this came out. It was first published for free on TH-cam I think. Such high quality comedy - no marketing - it just appeared! Have wanted to re-watch the series ever since. It's hard to say - but this may be my favorite Steve Coogan series.

Wonderful stuff ! The ' From the Oast House' podcasts on Audible have me laughing out loud too and also bare repeated listening . Coogan has an amazingly versatile voice and uses it to great effect on that. Would highly recommend to Patridge fans if you haven't heard it already .👍

I second this, along with the “nomad” and “I, partridge we need to talk about Alan” both are in audiobook form read by the man himself on TH-cam

Love Mr Alan Partridge. Always interesting when he reverts to his Steve Cogan character, I understand he needs to do this occasionally to make loads of money in Hollywood.

the first 3 mins are , if anyone can remember them ... is SO Chris Moyles and "comedy Dave " , complete with the contrived "riffing" banter and dead air ! sure they had them in mind in that scene

@@MamaLinz123 it is ..painfully reminiscent , isnt it ? of that dark period in the history of radio ..where inexplicably , that juvenile, fat , utterly unlikable character Moyles was allowed to indulge in his delusional belief in his own charisma daily on a national station .. it beggars belief ! But then again , we are talking about the same radio station ..that in more recent time saw fit to indulge the odious Nick Grimshaw in the same way , a vacuous , vapid man with no discernable talent and a voice more suited to silent movies , no doubt only getting his position thanks to his (obvious) homosexuality !
