Join my virtual academy www.alexanderarguelles.com/academy/ and meet with me every week to get a systematic theoretical framework for long-term language learning in Principles of Polyliteracy. Join also to read and discuss French, German, Italian, and/or Spanish literature, to learn sacred languages such as Arabic, Sanskrit, Greek, or Old Norse, to develop conversational abilities in Latin, and/or to read and discuss Great Books of Western Civilization in English. And subscribe to my monthly newsletter at: www.alexanderarguelles.com/newsletter/

When i found the best way to learn for me i have been able to learn a lot of languages .but it took me a while to figure it out since i was just copying what other people did at first but everyone has different interests. when i try to explain my techniques to others they don't want to use them because they think its boring or wont work .maybe the ability to discover techniques that work for you is a type of talent itself that not everyone has .

Would you mind sharing your study method? It would be a great help, because I'm still trying to find the best method for me

A Pedra do Reino, de Ariano Suassuna, ali no cantinho. O que o sr. acha do livro? E o que mais o sr. aprecia na literatura brasileira?

I wonder if talent even plays a large role. I struggled with languages until one day it just clicked. Only after struggling for a while I became good at learning languages.

"Polyglot" is just "multilingual" from Greek roots instead of Latin.
    You're welcome.

Pilots learn a foreign language easier, maybe the brain works better with altitude and a little stress, responsibility to others and a good positive community.

Where did you get this fact that pilots learn foreign languages faster?

@@Hithere-dl2cx Objectively, it is difficult to meet a pilot who does not speak English, even if it is not their first language.

pilots who can't speak english at all can't really be commercial pilots because air traffic control is done in english. there's heavy selection bias at play
