Though it's a shame Joker doesn't have a Showtime with the others. And you gotta admit, those Showtimes can be OP so having less of them as possible is quite good actually.

That would be a bit much mechanic wise. Also giving that much showtime would only frustrate the player since Showtime can also if one member is backup. Also Showtime can be overpowered.

I feel the same. In Dragon Quest XI everyone has a pair up attack with the Hero, sometimes three or four characters. They kinda drop the ball with the amount of Showtimes we have.
My favorite things about these showtime attacks is that all of them are justified in-universe as one phantom thief coming up to another and going "hey wouldn't it be sick if we did this?". This means that Ryuji canonically came up to Yusuke one day and suggested a super attack that included him making Ryuji a beef bowl in a shop named "Fox's Beef Bowl". Then, being interrupted from eating said beef bowl, and then shooting the person interrupting his beef bowl, before finishing the beef bowl while the enemy evaporates. Yusuke, hearing all this, immediately agrees to do it, implying he absolutely wants to make Ryuji the perfect beef bowl as a super attack. And that's just Yusuke and Ryuji. Don't even get me started on the other ones.

If you want to think about it Joker can be kind of cold I'm almost surprised he didn't level a gun to Shido's head during the cutscene

Joker and Violet's Showtime attack is definitely my favorite! I think they have excellent chemistry as a potential couple. Although I do wonder how you trigger a Showtime Attack. Guess I'll find out when the English version comes out next year.

I feel the same. In Dragon Quest XI everyone has a pair up attack with the Hero, sometimes three or four characters. They kinda drop the ball with the amount of Showtimes we have.

My favorite things about these showtime attacks is that all of them are justified in-universe as one phantom thief coming up to another and going "hey wouldn't it be sick if we did this?". This means that Ryuji canonically came up to Yusuke one day and suggested a super attack that included him making Ryuji a beef bowl in a shop named "Fox's Beef Bowl". Then, being interrupted from eating said beef bowl, and then shooting the person interrupting his beef bowl, before finishing the beef bowl while the enemy evaporates. Yusuke, hearing all this, immediately agrees to do it, implying he absolutely wants to make Ryuji the perfect beef bowl as a super attack.
And that's just Yusuke and Ryuji. Don't even get me started on the other ones.
