This is my favorite fighter build (has been for a few months now). Made some slight changes, such as using the stiletto for increased armor pen making it pretty much completely counter other PDR fighters using a typical falchion or arming sword. The reason I dropped buckler is because they nerfed the movement speed and the extra armor doesn't feel as impactful as it used to due to the huge amount of armor pen and magic damage in solos. I don't think fighter is "meta" right now, but I do think you can play well using this build! Good luck if you decide to give it a try
26:41. Jump, dont crouch. The Ranger multishot gets a tighter grouping the more they look down. If you look straight down with multishot and jump all your arrows will hit dead cwnter. So if you crouch they get a tighter group on you and you expose your head. Plus crouching slows you down qhich makes it even easier for them. Without a shield the besst thing you can do is jump + lean back + maybe keep swinging to get arms in the way. I'd have to test again, but im pretty sure the cone of multi shot spreads more the more you look up. So looking up is bad with multishot, looking down is good.
@@nicholassichau7582 it use to have 50% scaling or whatever because rangers use to have +100 weapon damage. I lost a good set when it first got buffed and thought it was op but nah it's easy to dodge.
In terms of effective HP, the biggest gains from armor come from 175 to 230 armor, which is 0.3% PDR per point. After that it goes to 0.2% PDR per point. In terms of effective HP, this is closer than it looks, because each % of PDR is more valuable than the last, but it is still less effective HP per point of armor.

I swear I had Deja vu because Y4mi had the exact same ranger do the exact same thing to him in the exact same spot! Full health and dogging the ranger and he got close and just 1 hit him with the shotgun perk
I feel like this game needs do more with the gear score brackets first bracket: all white gear. rewards green gear and jewelry second bracket: all green gear, cape and jewelry. rewards blue gear third bracket: all blue gear. rewards purple gear fourth bracket: all purple gear. rewards legendary gear fifth bracket: all legendary gear. rewards ??? Maybe it is higher drop rates in the brackets that they have, and I just haven't noticed. However if not, this could really bring some purpose to putting on better gear. Wearing good gear simply to fight better players is starting to bore me.

@@Firebox720 just shows the current state of the game. It’s bunny hop kiting with bows, outside of cleric and rogues ganking, it’s all ranged. It’s not like back in the first and second alphas when people were melee fighting constantly and having good foot movement and spacing. Now it’s just poke poke poke poke, 1 melee hit when you know they die off the trade.
@@stealthyturtles I mean I agree, but it currently is what it is. It's been like this for a long time. It's why daggers are so important as well, because it allows instant swapping from your bow
also my suggestion for cloak is cloak of darkness you can get 5 move speed cloaks pretty easily and even with good rolls like armor and true. best cloak for a lot of classes actually.
unsure on all of skills, but for every playtest i can remember past recoverable health being introduced you can recover second wind through camping, id imagine its the same with other limited skills, but i havent tested/experienced that first hand
@@gronkistI’m not sure, look underneath the skill though. There would be a small little black bar that fills up white when you camp fire and when it’s full you get the skill back. You can see it under 2nd wind but not sprint in this video 2nd wind used to take 2 grey/white campfires but now it’s just 1 grey.
You mentioned, at 52s of the video, that with the nerf with the true damage right now, combo attack is a lot better. Im kinda new to the game, what were the nerfs to true damage? Isnt it added at the end of all damage?
are cobalt loose trousers not that good? i always thought the pen could be useful but no one uses them. also there REALLY needs to be more options than loose trousers. i dunno how iron mace hasnt buffed other stuff and nerfed trousers. barbuta also is massively irrelevant and i wish it wasnt
Obviously very skilled play. It completely turns me off from the game though. D&D inspired setting but the bunny hopping and quick scope arrows and ability baiting and running is a snooze fest. Hope they make some improvements with things like massive movement reductions after jumping and turn speeds so you don’t have these Tourette’s fits to try and force shots into limbs for damage reduction. Respect the skill though.
Eh bunny hop is part of the mechanics, keeps your momentum when you draw an arrow or cast a spell. They’d have to make it where jumping cancels all actions, which just lowers the skill ceiling for no reason. The thing I dislike is how ranged heavy it is, the bow type he’s using makes the game boring, fighters/rangers/bards constantly spam it. It’s just run away or chase while poking with a low dmg weapon but it’s so much pressure you can really do anything about it unless the bow user completely fucks up
I’m confused and maybe I’m the only one but how is this fair to rogue?? You have 40-50 more hp than the avg rogue, able to wield double dagger, and you gain a lot of MS with active abilities. If you play rogue is this even contestable?

It isn’t. Stealth doesn’t do shit against 60% PDR on top of a 40% instant heal button so you just out trade and out dps by holding mouse 1. Of course you’ll have some bozo call that a skill issue though
What is the best fighter build for squire gear? Man i thibk you should do a guide series for under 25 gear score with all classes! Edit: there is a shit ton of theorycrafting in this game just like wow and its a pain, i for one enjoy under 25 gear score because is pure skill
Slayer 100% with one random green armor piece. Either run falcion with stiletto or arming and short sword. For range use surv bow or recurve. Use slayer,sword mastery,duel Weald,weapon mastery. If your using falcion you can opt for combo attack and use a crossbow and Castilian instead of weapon mastery but I don’t prefer it
No, he can probably win the majority of these fights just by unga bungaing in. The problem is consistency and tempo with threat of third party. Why go in melee which will force you to heal and be a close fight when you can just be full health by spamming down with bow? Especially with the threat of third party right after.
Daggers have the highest dps aside from maybe felling axe. They definitely are top tier fighter weapon right now. A lot of the 2 handed weapons are dog shit if you get in their face too because they do drastically less damage when hitting with the hilt. Plus your guaranteed to be slower than the fighter with daggers so they will just get in your face and out dps you.
He kites with his bow because the objective in fighting people is to kill your opponent while taking the least amount of damage possible because there’s always a chance of a 3rd party showing up when your hp is lower. Also because survival bow now is good for keeping people from running from you with it’s on hit slow.
he mentioned this briefly in the video, he's just using it as a "stat stick" meaning he only has it equipped to gain the stats on it, pretend it's a third ring :)

why not use short sword with sword mastery instead of combo attack?

I think loose trousers might need some kinda nerf/change. They are too universally good and literally go on any class or any build.

I think the agility stat and movespeed stat as a whole need a slight rework. not really a nerf but a change.

thats why i only play duos Ice Brother. just sprint onto them, pull dagger and do it.

crusador helm gives more stats and has good pdr no mdr reduction. must run imo for this build.

it used to stack higher before the wipe. +2 on rings for example. Now you can't get as much per slot

Stiletto does more dps but he might just be more use to rondel. It’s also a bit easier animation to hit people consistently.
