Staff is incredibly slow and this build sacrifices move speed. He is locked in once he engages melee and tanker classes with a good pilot can fight him. I think it's pretty fair.

No matter which weapon you choose, the other major benefit of using staff or crystal sword over rondel ball is that you get true magical damage on both your melee hit and ignite.

@@snowywhistle2114so you are telling me the true magic damage procs on both ignite once and then on the staffs „magic damage“ twice?

@ kind of. short answer is yes true magical damage procs twice, once for the hit and once for ignite. the long answer is that ignite has 50% scaling, so you get 1.5 times true damage, instead of 0.5 times true damage with only ignite. the math is like this if you have 8 true magical damage: ignite will hit for 4 true magical damage, because 8 x 0.5 is 4. crystal sword or staff mastery with ignite will hit for 12 true magical damage, because 8 x 1 + 8 x 0.5 is 12.

Glad you enjoy the breakdowns, pvp just depends on how much I see for the day since I swap builds alot. I think this pvp was from less than 2 hours on stream so I was a bit limited. Next video should have more 100%

Exactly, with rondel + 27 physical power i out DPS any build. Im running similar build at 150 hp With shields. If i dodge 1 hit from a barb i kill him everytime. Nice character but its hard to play without meditate.

@sib8608 not sure why it's hard without meditate, I run spell overload and bring a campfire. Insta cast allows you to win just about any fight.

@ i need to try this,cause during a camp fire its easy to get gank and With spell Overload your casting time suck, imo you need at least 70% Casting speed to be efficient

@sib8608 cast speed is super slow for me but it's kind of irrelevant. Insta cast a fire ball, ignite, haste and invis and you 3-4 tap just about anyone. Make sure you have melt.

that build would be infinitely better without plate lock. but yeah spell predation and curse of weakness are really good.

@kevinlafranchise3841 grims are super cheap, I think like 400 gold. If you need money go kill spiders for 20% chance at 2k gold in the big room in goblin caves you'll easily get what you need there

@@beasterbunnny Crystal sword does not have +6 magic damage and staff mastery which double dips in scaling. I think it is a strictly worse option

@@Firebox720 staff mastery is 2. 2 + 6 is 8. 8 isn't 18. ignite scales at 50%, so adding in ignite would be 8 + (5 + 3) which is 16. 16 is less then 23. if you want to get super technical, the burn also scales at 50%, so that would be 4 burn damage over one second. 20 is still less then 23. on top of that, the extra perk slot has the potential to add more damage depending on what you use. of course you do less physical damage. 19 is far less then 42. if your goal is to do as much magical damage as possible, crystal sword is strictly better. otherwise it's up for debate.

@roymain36 the problem I have is there are no weapons I want to use on warlock. If we had Kris I would consider that

@@Firebox720 Totally fair, I miss the kris a lot too. Been alternating between falchion+crystal ball and magic staff and both are fine but they just don't him the same.

There was no below 125 high roller last patch. 25-124 was still a normals match and the mobs were the same strength as below 25. Nothing has changed for you in this patch other than running into people with a tiny bit of gear in the 0-124 lobby

nothing changed, 124 is still 124 the only things removed are under 25 and 125-224 both of which dont change anything you said "glass cannon build" doesnt make sense, if you mean hr its just called a mid build, if you mean 124 "glass cannon" is just more dmg than surv. what you said makes 0 sense overall. even if you look at it from a loot perspective 124 is mostly bad loot, if you are in 125+ loot will be the same as joining any other random bracket before changes. the only thing that changed is the fact low skilled players are in with high skilled players. 0-24 is the only thing that changes anything what you said is nothing to do with the changes.

Interesting because that is exactly what the effect of removing the brackets is. Guess who used to play in the lower brackets, less experienced players, now pitted against more experienced/geared players. Guess who also generally bring worse gear? Less experienced players. What you said makes 0 sense. Or were you trying to play semantics despite the ingame names? That fine as well, still what you claim is the opposite of what happened, namely brackets were merged affecting which gearscores you come across entering HR ingame. Meaning that my relatively low gear score and low cost build can now come across higher gear score and higher cost builds than previously. That is the direct result of merging brackets. How is this not plainly obvious to you? Or were you just trying to argue in bad faith or get into an argument for the sake of arguing? That's fine as well if it makes you feel better, but at least try to come up with arguments that make half sense.
