As a top 10 trios bard, I don’t agree that people go into HR for the pve experience. It’s because players are more geared so the reward aspect is much more common than it is in norms. Why fight one actually geared team every 5 games when you can fight 1-4 geared teams every game of HR. Of course, solos is completely different from trios and duos so I can’t speak on that but as for trios, HR is where the gear is at.
"richer pve experience" oh my god bro what copium are you injecting in your vein, as if its so hecking funny and entertaining to kill nightmare mob for 200th time, just to loot from him 10 gold. Jesus
Here's a few reasons normals have more geared at least in solos compared to group. 1. Barrier to enter HR - 100g isn't a lot of gold by itself, but when you factor in heals, ammo, campfires, traps, other utility. It feels bad trying to make up an additional 100 gold cost. (It's also kinda a lot of gold for newer players that don't make a lot of gold) 2. Easier to boss for solo g-caves, and the most consistent way to make money is by killing troll and getting pelt, then farming gold if double bossing. 3. Easier to clear mobs as solo. In HR they increased the number of nightmare mobs to "increase the difficulty" what this has really done is made it so people with gear don't enjoy clearing HR mobs as much, because it usually takes another minute+ now to clear an entire room if you're just trying to loot and scoot compared to old HR clear times, and g-caves already has a low timer. 4. It's a QOL being able to see deaths in the top right. Knowing how many players/teams can be left. Oh someone died to skeleton champion, I know where both of those are, let me go check them see if they have any loot. 5. F2p players can't sell their gear only buy gear...so they will almost always run geared into normals, which is where I've found some "timmies" running insane kits but not playing great, not understanding spacing, getting smacked by mobs left and right. 6. A lot of solo HR currently from my own experience is landmine rogues, and most people don't wanna deal with that, so load in naked, grab 500 gold worth of sellables profit 400gold within a few minutes, rinse repeat.
I’ve only done F2P normals so far and I’ve stashed all my gear, which is only green at most. Is it more profitable to sell certain tiers of gear on the market instead of selling to merchants? I’m running out of space
@@bobbywhite5319 its not worth it at all to keep greens. if your going to go geared into a lobby u want at least blues and they are only slightly more expensive then greens. only use greens have is you can bring in one into an under 25 lobby but you'll only really want upgraded boots for that tbh. sell all your greens that arent boots and consumables like potions unless ur just doing a random scuicide run in hr for loot and don't care.
guys I spent 6k to remake this kit exactly and died in 2 hits by a magic staff cleric; don't use this kit if you 1. don't main cleric (barb main) 2. can't use the morning star for shy*t 😭😭😭( prices may have gone up insanely high because of the videos) if you do use this kit make sure you avoid wizards, warlocks, and other clerics (spell variety) as stated in this video 👍 no hate
Its not like a 6k cleric kit will suddenly make you a god at playing cleric. You need to start with cheaper kits to practice cleric, then once you are used to playing cleric; then you go for a 6k kit.
SparkyKawa suggested a solution and it is to add a purchased tag for gear gotten in the marketplace and not letting people enter to normals with that. That way people can use the gear they get.
Noobs far outnumber veterans. Noobs are the majority in Normal-low, normal-high, and HR all at the same time. The quality of PvP is down across the board.
Really liking your videos and have learned a lot and while i enjoy the compilations of your victories I am wanting to request a complication of times things haven't worked out for you so i can feel better about the times i have flubbed it up following your advice haha.
I'm relatively new (like 60 hrs now) and I'm going to start dipping into HR, I just wanna work towards the Season rewards thing. You also inspire me as a Cleric, it's my most played class by far and I love it. I can't wait to try something like this once I get used to spending gold on gear and not being attached to it.
Theres 3 big reasons HR is all base kit and the PVP players are in normals. First Hr is a really great place for noobs to make money because drops are better and pve isn't to bad if u know what ur doing and its more consistent then bossing. Second pvp isn't really encouraged in HR if ur goal is grinding ap the best path is just grabbing treasures u don't get much return for risking ur run in PVP. Third players who want to pvp don't want to deal with ap requirments that punishes them for being murder hobos and only looking for kills. So they go to normals and the noobs go to HR.
I do not bring my gear in HR because i got spawn rushed by people with nearly full legendaries, losing both money and AP on the way. So i get in grays and i gear myself on the way, selling out the good gear for classes which i do not play and store the rest for myself. As a new player is frustrating to lose your gear in pvp when you are trying to learn the mechanics or just experience the game. There are a lot of zones which I barely touched. Currently i’m learning inferno zone, next on the list being abyss.
imo the loot in highroller is aweful when they had high roller being cheaper than the 100 gold cost high roller was bussin but the loot for me has been terrible i find better shit in norms than i do in high roller so why keep going high roller
Honestly, I have been loving the game as is. I use to be really upset with gear diff, but the sub 25 thing is really working out. I hope whatever changes they make, its more along the lines of making HR feel more rewarding rather than balancing the two different modes. If they ONLY make high roller more rewarding while leaving the normal mode untouched, I would have nothing to complain about, go crazy Ironmace.
They cant, the game doesnt have the population to fill lobbies with that many different brackets. And worst case scenario is people getting full maps to themself.
@@mikebasketball11 It's still completely stup.. if you go in with 30gs and have to fight against people who has 300+gs it makes no sense because you cant win this fights

As a newish player myself to add to the HR stuff, I only go into HR for quests (killing elite monsters etc..) If I want to take gear I will just go 25+ in normal so I dont have to deal with harder mobs. My Recommendation to balance HR is make it just one queue. >25 is the normal lobbies, 26 - 299 is some middle ground with some harder mobs but not full HR and 300+ is HR as is. I think this would balance out queues SO much.
I get what you say but after some time HR mobs will feel easy too. I go into HR when I need money but I mainly play normals for the pvp lately. Trios HR is a different beast tho, the pvp there is top tier
I agree! Remove high roller all together and make each high tier of normals have hard monsters and better gear.. figure out a better AP leader board option and they would be golden
so you're the reason im running into all these clerics. its been amazing 90% of these no spell clerics fold like a lawn chair against rupture weakpoint rogues
HR idea could be to put 1 boss in the central of the map on a pile of coin that every entre would be under his feet that so people would have no choice to do bosses to get the loot and would be interesting to put it in a kind of arena that once you in front the boss you can't back away like a pvp zone so if someone rat who ever is there to do the boss have no choice to kill the boss to get away with the loot . I don't see much utlity for HR right now im a very new player and I found maybe like 2-3 purple MAX on like 10 runs and spawn are supert rough sometime ... Anyway love your content man I learn few things pretty much every video.
as for the highroller loot situation, the re ddition into steam brought a lot of people that didnt play or pay attention to anything and are new af into or back into the game so they're even more timmy than timmies honestly, and it explains the density because their thought is likely hoarding and low loot payin entry to hopefully get better loot
They just need to remove the ante from HR.... the incentive is much smaller for new players when it costs 100g and you lose AP if you die. Just make it free again and that would help draw more people to play it.
the highroller bit was hilarious. i see people getting so salty in your stream sometimes about it but you're right. i run into a lot of geared people in 25+ and i do the same
yooo fire build was rocking it last wipe and was slamming some nerds glad to hear its still smacking nerds down in both HR and normals! I also despise the flanged mace so morning star is my go to on cleric. Also normals has the JUICE for some reason!
I've left this as a reply but I think it's important to leave as a regular comment as well. Not everyone plays this 8 hours per day. I've been trying to run HR with some friends that are new to the game with the Steam release so they can get purple gear organically and not have to grind
I feel like 90% of people you ran into had less than 5 hrs of game time I think the remedy is to add levels of geard lobbies like below 25 gs 75gs 150 etc
Just watched your video after getting steam rolled by geared rogues (I'm talking lvl 100+ and 300+ fame) in normal and now I feel avenged. It was great watching them crumble.
I support the statement that HR is not the place to find good kitted people. I have 100% been going HR to avoid people that are absolutely busting lobbies apart in normals. It is safer to try for blues/epics in there with mediocre gear and slow clear the PvE than it is to break the 125 gear score and deal with sweatlords that are just cleaning up people who have moderately decent kits that can't compete with this level of number crunching. "An informed minority will always beat an uninformed majority." That is all that is happening in normal lobbies now.
I think HR should be the hardcore gameplay, you should lose your kit in both games, but I think only in HR you should be able to loot your opponents equipped items. (not their inventory) It's really the only way to get them out in my opinion
ive been also running this build (as a barb main) used to run the same perks and skills in norms for fun (its not fast but still funny) and yeah destroyed warlocks and barbs that said im terrified of wizard and rangers (especially when they have knockback)
loving the "have 310 MS and range or get folded instantly". thanos class was added when plate suddenly had no downsides and its mainstream now. gotta just put the game down till the class is gutted i guess?
I think there is something to be said for the shit bags just rolling people in norms…but I would also venture to say, most people can’t play this game all day everyday especially like you, who’s job it is. I play more than most people probably have time and I haven’t gone into HR solely based on the difficulty to reward ratio just isn’t there. It’s annoying and pointless to just fight 30 mobs for a purple. I do think it’s a problem though that normals is like this. Not sure a good solution
@@mikebasketball11 Explain why you think this? To me that is the exact reason for brackets to keep the game fun but have a reason to get better gear. I would also want more incentives to go high roller say Normals is capped at 300 gear score but the best loot you can find in Normals is Rare. This would then let new players have fun in lower geared lobbies without being bent over by people with 400 gear score. Allow for a medium tier where people can use and gather better loot to be able to have a chance in high roller. And finally, the no holds barred HR where your able to get the best loot but also fight the best geared players.
HR is as dumb as it is usually is. Got to green rank and immediately got put into a game with the #4 warlock in full legendaries with grimsmiles. Both queues are the wild west.
Instead of limiting entry to Normals, I imagine buffing High Roller loot would help get more geared players in there fighting over it. Ice Abyss loot in particular is super underwhelming.
Damn my build got taken I ran this build like 4 months ago when I was only playing barb and I died to a no spell cleric back when it was 50% protection but the 30% now is a huge need especially against barbs who have 200plus hp and can out live the 4 seconds of divine protection
Just had to try this build leveled up a cleric and played last nite and can confirm this is almost broken and better then any type of fighter u can create
@gafgarion9420 Yes he is looking at chat. I don't even see anything suspicious in the time stamp you posted. There was no super fast flick. He was just correcting his aim after thinking the guy would strafe right.
Is there a reason for you using the morningstar instead of the war hammer ? From my personal preference i kinda like the warhammer more cause its attack pattern is better against shields and it attacks faster
Does faithfulness trigger on smite hits? Smite doesn't specify holy damage on it's description, so I figured it doesn't work, since all other spells and skills take the time to say divine magical damage.
Bro this shit is so op, I've run into it with MS action speed barb multiple times and I've never one ONCE and hit them so many times. I then go to spectate mode and see they're still at 3/4 hp T.T
New player here. I think the problem is the 25 gear score threshold. I either have to go full grey or spend gold in trade. There is no middle ground. If I go with one green weapon that I got from my last game I'll get put in the same lobby as some dude with full purple gear.
Im pretty sure it depends on server, as in europe i get constant full epic-legendary ppl on high roller, which made me go there naked and snatch whatever i can get
yea but how are new palyers supposed to get geared and learn HR if they cant even go into norms+ without getting pooped on by skilled geared palyers , the preogression needs to be worked on
if your new and want to learn mechanics just play below 25. Theres no real reason to go higher and you can fight all the mobs with base gear. Ive played the game a long time and I have been enjoying it much more since they started experimenting with white lobbies wich lead to now the pre 25 gs lobbies. Gives you a chance at fair fights and learning the classes strengths and weaknesses.
New players need to understand that is absolutely not needed to go into HR with a full kit or even a good kit. It may cost 100g to enter but the loot there is WAY better and thus sells better even to merchants. Think of how many times you play norms and escape without even having to pvp. This happens in HR too. HR is not some mystical dimension where you are forced to PVP every 2 minutes every dungeon. Getting 500 or so worth of gold from loot is normal in HR. Easy even. Escaping is only slightly harder due to the mobs being more difficult. Rate of pvp encounters is roughly the same. New players need to stop thinking they need at least all purples to go into HR. You dont. Its not as big of a deal as most seem to think. play it regularly and WILL come out ahead just like you do in norms. The only real key point is to make sure you build up a few blue or so kits and some gold BEFORE you start your HR adventures. This way some bad luck in your first couple dungeons doesnt leave you gearless and broke. Give yourself enough to work with so that a few bad early runs wont slap you back to norms.
@@Maibuwolf that is great and all but not everyone plays this 8 hours per day. I've been trying to run HR with some friends that are new to the game with the Steam release so they can get purple gear organically and not have to grind

I looted 2 goddamn RMT full legy kits in a row in GC normals what the hell is happening down at boss loot room every night
My guess is that it has to do with the huge increase of new players since the steam release. The game is currently overflowing with new players still learning the game. A game that has no tutorial or built in help of any kind. A lot of these people probably just panic when they come into contact with a player that clearly knows what they are doing.
Even though teaming is prohibited, neutrality or mutual avoidance aren’t against the rules. At least that’s what I’ve seen, I’m pretty new. Since teaming is two or more players collaborating to gain an unfair advantage against another player(s). So in high-rollers, hypothetically can’t people just mutually agree not to kill eachother?
Apparently nobody cares about High Roller, so what Ironmace needs to do about it is absolutely nothing, people are still playing and having fun, and as long as Ironmace continues to add more maps, monsters, gear and content in general, that won't change, because fun is all that really matters
my expericane so far is that as of right now people dont want to pvp in high roller so that they cant just farm ap with loot and gear upgrades and people in norms +25 are just people looking to pvp
I mean, maybe we don't need high roller. Just keep adding options to delve deeper for harder content. I guess that could drag on the time, but the time itself is an investment.
As someone who plays a lot of both there are more geared players in HR and most the time they are a lot better at the game. I try to stay away from normals because I simply feel bad and want the game to grow. I feel streamers should do the same.
I mean, most classes 2-shot rogues. That's why the rogue's whole skillset is focused around letting them get the first turn, because on even footing rogues will always get stat checked in stand-still melee fights.
Maybe once arena comes out PvP sweats will just go there. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the PvP of this game, but people that just spawn rush for fights annoy me. I’d like to actually experience the entire dungeon crawl
The only reason you're seeing more geared people in normals is because you're playing solos, in duos or trios there is barely ever geared people in normals

(It's also kinda a lot of gold for newer players that don't make a lot of gold)
That Cleric Build is INSANE dude! love these videos! Cheers from Salta, Argentina
i think a good rule to follow is the 25 gearscore and under lobbies are the noobs, the normal lobbies are for pvp and the high roller is for PVE.
I hope they make several more gradations in the gearscore like
0-25 26-100 101-200 201-300 etc
They cant, the game doesnt have the population to fill lobbies with that many different brackets. And worst case scenario is people getting full maps to themself.
Terrible idea for multiple reasons in my opinion. Everyone says this, nobody really justifies it or thinks it through imo.
@@mikebasketball11 It's still completely stup.. if you go in with 30gs and have to fight against people who has 300+gs
it makes no sense because you cant win this fights
@@adrianmichael9863 you say that but they already have 1's 2's & 3's NORMS and HIGHROLLER and 8 different server regions so that alone is 32+ DIFFERENT QUES
Anyway love your content man I learn few things pretty much every video.
as for the highroller loot situation, the re ddition into steam brought a lot of people that didnt play or pay attention to anything and are new af into or back into the game
so they're even more timmy than timmies honestly, and it explains the density because their thought is likely hoarding and low loot payin entry to hopefully get better loot
Gets a door closed on him “Oh that’s annoying”, proceeds to 2-3 tap every player in existence.
What does Faithfulness do in this build? I read that it does not stack with Smite, is that true?
No it increases the damage and slows on hit- people cannot disengage once you’ve tagged them with smite
I played a duos with my mate, we intended to go into
This right HERE is what people need to read. I kill legendary players with grey ranger kits every now and then in HR. You can always outplay gear.
@@mikebasketball11 yeah man it really came down to the wire, had I been in anything more than white and it was gg gimme those legendary pieces 😂
They gotta make the season rewards so enticing this season to get people to run high roller
what stats and attributes would you prioritize for this build
I think HR should be the hardcore gameplay, you should lose your kit in both games, but I think only in HR you should be able to loot your opponents equipped items. (not their inventory)
It's really the only way to get them out in my opinion
Firebox: "What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss?"
ive been also running this build (as a barb main) used to run the same perks and skills in norms for fun (its not fast but still funny) and yeah destroyed warlocks and barbs
that said im terrified of wizard and rangers (especially when they have knockback)
loving the "have 310 MS and range or get folded instantly". thanos class was added when plate suddenly had no downsides and its mainstream now. gotta just put the game down till the class is gutted i guess?
Does smite scale with faithfulness?
I think there is something to be said for the shit bags just rolling people in norms…but I would also venture to say, most people can’t play this game all day everyday especially like you, who’s job it is. I play more than most people probably have time and I haven’t gone into HR solely based on the difficulty to reward ratio just isn’t there. It’s annoying and pointless to just fight 30 mobs for a purple. I do think it’s a problem though that normals is like this. Not sure a good solution
Dont know if the game has the player base for it but I'd say we need more Gear score bands.
0-25
26-100
100-299
300+
Or something like this
@@SushiSwordthat would kill the game. What’s the point of gear if it’s all relatively the same strength (since you will just be bracketed?)
@@mikebasketball11 The point of gear is that it focuses on different things. Squire lobbies (
HR is as dumb as it is usually is.
Tried this last night and its Bonking Brilliant. Boop them in the soft spots✊️
This build has single handedly changed my view of no spell cleric...
Glad you’re enjoying and optimizing my favorite build❤ also the war maul is really fun and useful in trios as a melee cleric
Just had to try this build leveled up a cleric and played last nite and can confirm this is almost broken and better then any type of fighter u can create
@@mastersword131 it rocks so hard with judgement slow and by taking no spells you can still bring a shield and mace for certain nasty mobs!
@gafgarion9420 Yes he is looking at chat. I don't even see anything suspicious in the time stamp you posted. There was no super fast flick. He was just correcting his aim after thinking the guy would strafe right.
schizo
Firebox is ready to spread the good word!
I'm going out on a limb here (I'm new to the game). Maybe you bring "bad" gear into HR to be able to change out your gear to get more AP?
Ong I'm doing this build I'm up +30K keep up with the BIS VIDS
Im pretty sure it depends on server, as in europe i get constant full epic-legendary ppl on high roller, which made me go there naked and snatch whatever i can get
I go to high rollers because I am a Timmy.
Please come back to DaD Firebox, we miss you, best solo cleric on YT
yea but how are new palyers supposed to get geared and learn HR if they cant even go into norms+ without getting pooped on by skilled geared palyers , the preogression needs to be worked on
they can also run gear lol. or play the 25 gs lobbies. it’s not that hard to get gear and get gold.
Sounds like a skill issue.
if your new and want to learn mechanics just play below 25.
I've been trying to run HR with some friends that are new to the game with the Steam release so they can get purple gear organically and not have to grind
whats the best perk to start with?
So heres how it went after seeing what the hell is going on far away from highroller in the hardcore normals: Im your everyday longsword main kinda guy and built a kit of leftover blues and purples. I looted 2 goddamn RMT full legy kits in a row in GC normals what the hell is happening down at boss loot room every night
Hi, just curious why you use the knowledge chest piece for this build
That's champion armor i believe str 3 vigor 3 not the crusader armor
HR is more about PVE and dungeon exploration nowadays
Is this build viable with only grey/white items?
Just swap the drums for oil lanterns to counter druids and it’s a wrap 🫡
Everything above 25 rating has good PvP..
I've been playing free to play and the PvP is alot of fun...even with low gear makes it better
Dont waste times on ppl saying shit about normal and hr bro just enjoy wath u prefer the most :D
there should be a status to gear saying purchased that states you cant take purchased gear into normals
Why is most of these players playing so passive and not fighting back?
I've noticed this from watching a lot of not just his but other people's PVP video, idk if they panic or what but they just sit there and take it.
My guess is that it has to do with the huge increase of new players since the steam release. The game is currently overflowing with new players still learning the game. A game that has no tutorial or built in help of any kind. A lot of these people probably just panic when they come into contact with a player that clearly knows what they are doing.
my guess is because this has been a thing for a min and already figured out this cancer is unbeatable lmao
I gotta run the crusader helm exclusively for the drip, Chapel de fer is simply too goony for me, otherwise sick build
same cleric with ale perk instead of reduce all harmfull effect one is a bit better I guess because an armored cleric will never catch a warlock
This looks fun. I just started playing, would you say cleric is a good option for solo play?
Almost unbeatable at melee but weak at range it can be good if you play passive
Arguably the best class in solo currently, honestly, now that Warlocks been knocked down a peg.
Cleric or bard best solo options
Good video, just a suggestion but the music is a little loud
When her ex was .9 bigger than you and she says “ITS A HIGE DIFFERENCE” 🤣🤣 thanks for putting me on good sir!
so you tell me if i DONT like pvp i cant just go high roller and get better gear with less danger of falling on hardcore pvp chad?
That death was karmic haha
4:37 thats me 😭 why you gotta call me out for being a timmy
seems like movespeed is bugged with the change they made to MS reduction from armors
cloak of darkness inflation incoming lol
I mean, maybe we don't need high roller. Just keep adding options to delve deeper for harder content. I guess that could drag on the time, but the time itself is an investment.
I am rather new to the game but why not just use fighter for that build instead of cleric?
why run faithfulness on this build? I thought smite was changed to no longer be considered divine magic.
As someone who plays a lot of both there are more geared players in HR and most the time they are a lot better at the game. I try to stay away from normals because I simply feel bad and want the game to grow. I feel streamers should do the same.
These plays are geared but they are simply not good at the game in the slightest
What is that mace that lights up
Maybe thered be more geared players in high roller if they werent running around in normals touching themselves
Hr solos are so dead it’s more duos and trios where people are juiced
7:37, ARe you two shotting rouges😭
I mean, most classes 2-shot rogues. That's why the rogue's whole skillset is focused around letting them get the first turn, because on even footing rogues will always get stat checked in stand-still melee fights.
