Flamingo sounds from South Africa. The Overberg region of South Africa is full of wildlife and national parks. This lake I recently visited was in one of the national parks and was a bird lovers paradise. The lake has hundreds of flamingos but also pelicans, cormorant, ducks and even otters! The sun rises so fast at this time of year in South Africa so I was forced to make this recording over two separate sunrises a few days apart. This helped cover the huge area of the lake better and makes the soundscape a truer portrayal of this beautiful location. I hope you enjoy :)

Happy New Year from South Africa! The flamingos were the main focus for this soundscape however, if you look closely you will spot a small group of Eland and also a surprise visit from a large Otter! If you like flamingos then I hope you enjoy this recording. :)
