I love how you said you are a wild woman and it’s your time to shine! You are the mad scientist of succulents and soil! I just ordered all ingredients for your tropical soil mix. Can’t get seamungus but ordered fishnure, hopefully will be comparable. I watch all your videos and you are just really so helpful to me as I struggle with conophytums and root rot. I live in Florida, very wet, hot, humid. Your collection of plants is astounding.
I live on the Treasure Coast and have been heavily into succulents for about a year and a half. I've definitely killed a lot (or at least the Florida weather has) but I'm learning. I move mine around a lot to make up for all the rain/heat. Also, I swear by Bonsai Jack Super Gritty soil mix (no offense to you Liz). It's pricey but it's basically gravel so all the rain goes right through. I don't mind spending the money if it keeps my plants alive. Good luck to you! Keep up the great videos Liz. You always put a smile on my face.
I have hurt my arm and can’t do much at all with my plants so I have been rewatching your videos ..even the ones that I have already ‘rewatched’. I never get sick of them, they are funny, interesting, helpful and just so very enjoyable. Thanks Liz😊❤
So so beautiful succulents. And so healthy. Don't know how you can remember all they're names. Even if they have name tags. Toy would call them names before you look at the plant. Amazing. THANK YOU Liz. Great way to wake up in the morning and watch your video. God Bless
I’ve been wondering how in the world you could take care of so many succulents! You have so many amazing and gorgeous succulents! And omg your Lovely Rose are gorgeous!!! Mine does not look too good and I need to tend to her
YAY Conos. I have a thing for succulents that don't look like a leaf... does that make sense?? Mainly Mesems. Though I still love Echeverias. It is like having roses in the garden that 'last' forever with never-ending variations. Mesems to me are what I call weird and wonderful misfits. My Conos are very slow growing though. I'm still trying to get through my first winter with my all succulents. We have frost basically almost every day in winter.
I'm just starting to get into mesems myself since most of the info I got tells me they're hard to look after which is completely wrong base on my experience. Just have to get hold of seeds and grow them myself since we get very limited grown plants here.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I have been growing some Conos from seeds since Oct 2021. They are doing well so far. I got my seeds from etsy. It's good to start planning and start them in autumn.
LOL.. come Liz, go ahead and just pick it up with your hand, I would because I'm a savage 😁😆😉. I hope your covid misery doesn't last to much longer. Thank you for the video 🙂
I use my Master Succulent Soil Mix. The reason it's leggy is because there's not enough light for the plant plus the nature of this plant is to also grow leggy. To keep it compact, you'll have to maintain cutting it.
Depends what succulents you have but most succulents can go without water for a VERY LONG TIME......So if they died in that 2 week period, it means that you live in either a cold or high humidity area where the soil is kept wet all the time. I would suggest that for next time, best to keep soil dry if you're going away for even a month.
You’re a party all on your own, LizK! 🤣😍❤️
That I am. Never a dull moment when I'm around. Thanks for watching.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK love and hugs from the USA! Happy growing!
Your enthusiasm is infectious.A proper plants lady.

Thanks for the lovely comment Sesha. With Canophytums, I still prefer to use a 50/50 mix (other soil mix) and decomposed granite. Have fun growing.

12:22 the plant under the plant you’re talking about is labeled Esther MORAN- what is that?
It's called Echeveria Moranii.
Hi Liz. I was away for 2 weeks, my succulents were unattended, they died! I'm going away soon and I don't know what to do!

What does SP mean?
Species.
Have to pretend to be civilised! Can relate
Chubby sedums next, please! 😁
Most sedums are dormant at the moment. Have to wait a couple of months for them to wake up.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I'm going to wait for that for sure! I started to buy different kinds of sedum. I hope they live.
