Enjoyed the episode guys! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I have to agree with you on the demeanour of the Botswana people in some areas. We found this to be true especially at some of the park gates, with Chobe and Khama being the exception.
My wife and I did a Botswana self-drive in 2019 and planning another on in 2025 this time our adult children want to have this same experience, which I can only describe as incredible. So I've thoroughly enjoyed your video presentation of your adventure, and I'm happy to say it"s almost a carbon copy of what we did in 2019 and intend on following again in 2025. My wife and I will continue on our own after Kasane to Namibia and on to Cape Town. BTW I'm and expat living in Canada for over 50yrs, the allure of the African bush runs deep.
Epic trip! Lots of useful info. Looking forward to Namibia! It would be useful to know what costs are involved on your trips - fuel - camping - borders etc..
Thank you. Enjoyed your videos. Will be doing mostly the same trip in the other direction next year. Starting in Joburg and finishing in Vic Falls. Appreciate your honest perspective. What was the route you took from Gweta to Khama?
We left from Nata to go to Khama. To avoid going through Francistown, we turned off at Mosetse. Pretty good dirt road for about 50km, and then joins a tar road to Lethlakane. Not sure how much time was saved but it's an interesting option and beats driving through Francistown traffic. Glad you're enjoying the videos. Thanks for the feedback.
@@TravelGigolo Thank you. I was thinking of driving the other way up the A14 and cutting back on the A3 to Gweta. Your way sounded a little longer than that but, perhaps a little more scenic. Look forward to your next series!
This series has definitely inspired me to consider a Botswana trip. But only in dry season.
I definitely recommend it. Glad you enjoyed the series.
