That civic looks like he setup with thick rear sway bar for aggressive cornering. I think he needed more camber at the rear, that's the car that gets constantly understeer/overspeed and got off the track. If he drives a tiny bit less aggressive, he would've overtaken the other more easily i think.

This is why FF is much harder to drive then RWD cars. Yet people think it's the opposite. Yes FF is easier to drive on the street at under 70mph vs RWD, but when pushed to the limits, it's much more complicated to managed the over and understeer.
