- What does Martingale mean in forex? In a nutshell: Martingale is a cost-averaging strategy. It does this by “doubling exposure” on losing trades. The system I use is very close to this but I never knew it is call Martingale until I bought an account with tradercentral, meanwhile this was against their rule and I was flagged to have voilated Martingale and this is the reason why I have being studying this system. reaseaching it; I found out it was a against TFT rule as well, this drew my attention closer but funny enough this is what I use to pass my MFF challenge account with a live account of about 14k profit.
PS: I should point out here that I dont set orders like you rightly explained, and I dont double my initial entry just like u have pointed out, sometime I just enter a trade with just little position size as a commitment. I do my analysis and my understanding is after calculating my risk if for example I'm risking $2000 and I'm to use 10 lot size, I splits it into 10 places at the point of my first entry I can enter 0.5 and if it goes against me I spread this in different point in different sizes with a risk of $2k in mind - just to manage my risk (I can not continue to explain in detail but this is what i do and it is very effective). I don't beleive this is martingale though because the intention was not Martingale nor the mindset, I know my confluences but I know market can be very naughty so I use this style to mitigate my risk. Also, I will like to point out here that system of all kind works but the decipline and emotion of human is what makes it fails. Strategies must be tested (Backtested and forward tested)

I used this system on binary options... 😂...I used to trade on olymptrade platform by then....😂😂😂😂😂..if I win this month,,,,the next month I blow my account after 5 trades....this made me a disciplined trader now because anytime I remember how I lost money in binary options....I always control my emotion...

Martingal is base on probability so if your are strategy does not have a 60 % win forget the martingale system. Let's take 1000 dollars and you trade 64 for dollars every trade and then your lost one time so you increase your trade to 120 and you win so that clears your loss but your strategy must be 60% winner

Oh bro binary is different from forex I even thought u had tried it on forex. The key to this is using very little margin of capital, and now there is strategy of using martingale in both directions

The best way to make martingale works in forex trading is to use it for funded prop firm account,big accounts from 100k is okay. First of all you must have a profitable way of trading 💯. Then you trade your setups for a 1:1 with a SL... Once your setups hit SL then you wait for another setup. In the next trade you double the previous loss and so on. This style is based on a setup you know it has lesser probability of having 5-7 losing streaks. Most importantly, you have to risk as low as 0.06% on your first trade and double it after.
wrong calculation 0.08 will give you $8 80 cent x 100 pips move gives you $80. its not a sell stop but rather a sell limit orders
