I watched your Hiker video. HUGE difference in efficiency! I know you don't purge the hose with the hiker, but that's not 15grams of fuel. I have the original Nova with CEJN quick disconnects. It's been a great stove. Only one issue. When I first got the stove and shut the burner valve off while hot it would thermally lock up and I had to heat it up with a torch to free it up. That happened twice before I realized there is really no reason to close the burner valve at all in normal use. Only if you have to shut it off in a hurry, which I've never had to do, but since I'm aware of the issue, if that were to happen, I just have to make sure to open it back up before it cools. I can only guess that the long valve body has a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the spindle. Probably fixed on the later models. It's been a great stove since and though I don't use it as much as I used to, it still works flawlessly.
Yes efficiency can be different in different condition. And conditions are nearly every time are different. After some years of usage I am already not counting much how fast. Just need get dish cooked or water boiled. But what I like in Nova burners that when those are on max how they break through the wind and do the job. If to fry something quickly or to boil a water.
Can be that it shorter. I thought like that as well. But some time ago made a test for Trangia about that and result was strangely different for that test. See my video #19 Boil with the Lid or Without
Yup about what I get on petrol. If you use kerosone it reduces boil time to about 5 minutes

If you put a lit on the container, you can reduce boiling time substantially.
