Bill Medley is not only an amazing songster. Despite his share of personal tragedies, he kept his spirits up, took care of his own son and even his ex-wife's son after she was murdered, and picked up his music career so continued to spread sheer delight. He has now been married to Paula since 1986. They have a daughter, McKenna, a talented performer in her own right, who tours w/ him. He is, from all accounts, A SUCCESS AS A PERSON: Good husband, father, grandfather, honest business partner, loyal to his friends (which included Elvis). If you get the chance, see his highly entertaining show (he still tours w/ new partner Bucky Heard) & buy his book: "The Time Of My Life: A Righteous Brother's Memoir." Health & Joy to ALL of you.
@ Martha Mack You summed it up so well. His voice is iconic, he has written some damn fine songs and his showmanship is outstanding. But his strength and loving heart are obvious and real and appreciated by all who know him. Unfortunately his most recent tragedy is the death of his wife Paula during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. She passed away after battling Parkinsons for five years. 😢⚘
LOVE LOVE Bill Medley, The Righteous Brothers and this song (well, all their songs). At one of their concerts we attended, they of course sang this song and after Bobby's long & high notes were magically belted out, Bill remarked "Let's see Hootie and the damn Blowfish do that!" Bill's "Dirty Dancing TIME of YOUR LIFE" is beyond fabulous, too!
On this day in 1990 {January 25th} Billy Medley appeared as himself on the 'Finally! (Part 1)' episode of the NBC-TV sitcom 'Cheers'... Six months later on July 13th the movie 'Ghost' was released; and the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" was featured in the film... Two version of the song would make Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; the brothers' original 1965 version and re-recorded version on Curb Records... On October 14th, 1990 the original version would peak at #13 {for 1 week} and on that same week the Curb Record version was at #25, the Curb version would reach #19 in late October...
Bobby Hatfield, also of The Righteous Brothers, also appeared on the series. He was in episode 15 of season 9, Wedding Bell Blues.
I had the honor to meet Bill Medley in 1985. One of the nicest people I've ever met. And that voice! Still makes me melt!
Bill will always be the best in my book.❤
I missed that one, cool to stumble onto it on TH-cam, Bill Medley's talk videos are worth listening to...cheers

bill medley the time of my life
Medley's pretty good,singing unaccompanied.
Funny! 😂
Rebecca would you show some manners? Someone in the bar might wanna hear that song. lol
Idiot
Keeping in true form with her character on that show, Rebecca was the most unlikable person at the bar.
@@stevedem76 I think you have her confused with Diane lol. Rebecca was awesome and funnier and more likable than Diane.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
