I remember a certain Halloween dance way out in the country, where he whirled me around in the gym of a school and we won first prize for costumes. 7 months later, he was gone. But we had the best 6 1/2 years of my life, and he still has my heart. 😢💗💖💝 I pray that "ye sorrow not, as those that have no hope." We will be reunited with our loves.

Today is my 73rd birthday. I stumbled on to this video. My wife’s father, Dr. James Edwards of Santa Ana, took Bill’s tonsils out when he was a child. He was very nervous and didn’t want the ether cone over his face. Dr. Edwards took Bill’s hand and calmed him down, and the procedure went as planned. My wife and I saw Bill sing in Reno 30 years ago and she asked Bill if he remembered her dad. He was so gracious and told her he always remembered how gentle Dr. Edwards was. Bill is a great artist, and a better man. His daughter has a fabulous voice too. Thanks for this video.

Everybody loves the music of the Righteous Brothers but most people don't really know what it means to be a great musician which includes singers as well.
Righteous Brothers music is deceptive. It sounds simple but it most certainly is not. Those harmonies were the product of two great vocal talents and we heard one right here in Bill Medley.
What strikes me here is his, of course, spot on harmony with his daughter but much more than that was how perfectly balanced his voice was with his daughter voice. It sounds like it went through a mixing board but it was totally natural. He looked so completely at ease. Those two attributes were the signs of a great vocal talent.
After so many years he sounds so vocally strong and as sure of himself as he ever did.
What a treat to hear this!

Bill Medley was my first vocal crush; in the 1960s I played the grooves off of "Soul and Inspiration." 55 years later, this voice is still crushworthy. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Even better that there's a new Medley carrying the torch.

I met bill medley once. He was doing a national concert tour and I was responsible for advance publicity for the local presenter. Arranged a local interview on our morning news program and escorted him to the interview. Very nice man. I love this song.
