Hi,simon,very well covered,that tip of coil near large iron seems to work with many m.d.s.. Those subtle tones on the gmp was an eye opener. As always less is more on sensitivity in iron zones. atb hh
Aha, our old friend Addictedtobleeps. Yes he's trying to get to grips with his GMP and I am sure this will help. A very interesting and educating video. The Deus coils buzz on the big iron exactly like the GMP, especially in the Deus Full Tones option. It's extremely handy ! big ferrous are well detected at xp, these policy of xp to take money deposits or crates, the sound is double mixed but separated acute / severe on the big ferrous

Hi Simon . John here . I'm on the verge of purchasing either the Deus lite or the GMP . I'd like you to decide for me if that's ok . I'm a bit thick with technology so like the idea of the goldie but will it suit me or should I opt for the lighter Deus but also would miss the absence Of replaceable batteries and basic ease of use for a layman like me ! Hi John ........ thats a good question .... sounds like your in the same position i was when i got my XP Goldmaxx........ i really wanted the deus but was put off by the rechargeable batteries and the digital display and the fact that it might have been a bit too technical ..... i know people have said this before and once you get used to the deus it sort of all comes naturaly like most new detectors, but for me i wanted to stay a bit more traditional instead of making such a leap technologicaly if you know what i mean .... maybe one day i will have a deus but at the mo i dont want to change my Goldmaxx...... 🤠👍🏼

Hi Lee ..... i guess you are using an Orx .... i find that the coke and also what they call hot rocks will give you a very good sounding tone but the figers on the display will always show very low numbers usualy in the 20's ..... i myself dont, most of the time dig any targets under 40 on the display ...... 🤠👍
No mate am using a gmp 18khz I have just put your numbers and ground balance on the mashine and going out today but we're I go there is tones of hot rocks and cole I live Newcastle way but seam to dig loads of it and metal only been doing it for 5 months now am new to the game thanks Simon
Hi Lee ...... oh right , GMP .... yes it is more difficult with the Goldmaxx power because obviously you haven't got the display ..... but i would rather dig a good sounding tone/signal with the GMP and find coke than miss something really good ...... that is the one real advantage with the Orx and having the display ...... when i had my Goldmaxx power i did dig lots of coke unfortunately. ...... 🤠👍

Hi Jason ....... i would definitely recommend the Goldmaxx power over the Garrett Ace 300i ..... i have used one of the smaller Garrett detectors and i didn't get on with it very well ...... but with any detector there is a learning curve that we all have to go through ....... but to cut it short i would always choose XP ...... the cover on the Goldmaxx control box is rain proof but you couldn't put it under water obviously , but the control box covers are very good even in heavy rain ...... 🤠👍
Yes the coil is definitely waterproof ....... there are unfortunately lots to look out for when buying second hand especially if you are buying second hand from a private seller ..... you can buy second hand in confidence from a metal detecting shop or specialist this really is the only way '' i '' personally would go ...... (it is possible to knock the coil and damage it internally) ...... of course you would only know this once you use the detector for the first time. ...... there are a few metal detecting shops/businesses that sell new detectors on EBay at quite good prices, and this is how i normally get my detectors ...... hope that helps ...... 🤠👍

@@simonread7426 I've just bought a 3mx pro for my other half, we'll see how it goes. I've had all the detectors, and I prefer one tone analogue ones.

If you flick the silencer switch down and up twice in quick succession the machine goes to two tone
