I think this is my favorite Tank performance, I love when he stays in the pocket and trades punches every round. So calm and smooth.

In normal time and speed it looks like Tank gets hit clean with a bunch of big shots. But if you watch some of the exchanges in slow-mo you'll see just how magnificent and elusive Gervonta's defense really is!

He has some of the best defense in the sport, and I'd argue he always has. He's #5 in the world in plus/minus ratio. So he's basically the 5th best defensive fighter in the world rn.

Edit: Also lemme just say, Tank broke Garcia down with body shots. The head shots were either missing or not landing flush so he started going to the body and with the power he has, he doesn’t have to land as many as Spence or Canelo. Garcia got too tired to avoid the head shots and that’s what made the difference

Tank height and short arms is his only disadvantage that’s why he gets hit so much it’s pros and cons to everything but people don’t realize how hard it is to have no reach against your opponent that’s why manny pacman throws those off balance looking punches he has to for him to even get close to his opponent without getting hit with a jab or power punch
I feel like Garcia was gassing out and was just looking for a way out. He didn’t wanna get ko’d so his best bet was to claim vision impairment. He was tired and Tank clean hard shots were breaking him down. He was tough but that was a sucka move.
